I was not expecting the River 2 to be that light and at 3.5 kilos. That is indeed pretty light compared to other power stations.

From the title of the video, I would expect to have a feedback after using the devices while camping with some examples: how many hours/days can it power a fridge or a diesel heater. Maybe a comparison if you use a laptop as well. Insted we got the same info that was delivered by any other reviewer. Maybe next time :)

Didn’t I give examples of how long it powered my fridge?? I thought for sure I did… totally my bad if I did not. that really depends on the temp you keep the fridge and outside temp though. For I keep mine at 38 and the outside temp was between 60-75 the weekend, I used this to power it for a total of 24 hours and it was a about 45% left after that. I also charged my phone once on it and a camera battery once. Other trips were less taxing on it

I have the opportunity to buy the River 2 max with a 160w solar panel for the same price as the River 2 pro. What would you recommend pulling the trigger on? Is the max with 512wh good enough for let's say a 12v fridge, heated blanket, ect? Thanks! Love the channel

Since that power station does not weigh a lot and does not take up so much space. I do agree that it is the perfect one for overlanding.

Can this power a 60Q fridge for an entire weekend without solar?

That’s highly dependent on the temperature you keep the fridge at, how full it is and what the exterior temp is. I would imagine that should be a problem though. I run my 45q with battery to spare. If it doesn’t get you through the weekend, you can always charge it off your car port while the fridge is going. If it’s just charging on the car it takes 2 hours so not sure what the charge time would be if there were a draw on it as well

Just saw you got rid of your Mammoth. I can see why, you like to mostly do trails more so. From watching your videos. I take delivery of my Mammoth trailer next month. For us it works out perfectly because I like exploring more open areas, like the beaches around the Olympic Peninsula. Anyways I was looking at the getting one of these as well. Thanks for the review on this product, will have to keep this one in mind.

I loved my mammoth and definitely miss it, but yeah it was hard to take that with what I do and it didn’t work out for the family as anticipated. Honestly, most of that has to do with the Tacoma but yeah, we just couldn’t keep it

Yeah. I completely understand with the Tacoma. I have a 21 Tacoma TRD Off-road. My daughter is 3 years old and there isn’t enough leg room. Hopefully when the market goes down with car prices I do want to get a Tundra instead. For use the roof top tent is too small for us, especially with her. So the trailer will help out a lot.
