The Sumo Deadlift is a great exercise to build the best side butt that you could imagine. By doing this exercise, you are activating your posterior chain and creating the best glute activation.
-Stance Depends on Height
- Most important part is the external rotation of the feet
- Get shins as close as you can to the bar without touching it
- DON’T ROUND SPINE when bending down
- Grip should be shoulder width
- Break at the hips or stick the butt out to grab the bar.
- Should feel a slight hamstring stretch
- Before you pull, sit back on the heels and lift chest up
- Take slack out of the bar
- Brace core and lift up
- Thrust hips upward
- Reset each time during reps

split squat deadlift is good for isolationg booty and side booty, pretty much a rotational side lunge. also kneel to get up.

There are so many videos like this on RU-vid and no matter how many I watch, I just can't get it right . I just gave up on adding deadlifts to my workout routine. Thank you so much for posting this. I had spinal fusion in the L4&5 10 years ago.( not from a lift injury). I have always worked out but obviously have to modify my lifting. This video thoroughly explains body mechanics . Thank you.

Love the video and how you explained it. I had never done them before until this guy I met at the gym told me about them and took the time to show me. I like doing this style of deadlifts. I usually do 5 sets and start with 15 Reps and when I start adding the weight I lower the reps. I also do a Superset with Bulgarian split Squats & my legs & glutes are Usually on fire when I’m done.

I only conventional DL, but recently have wanted to incorporate sumo into my leg day. After watching this video I feel like I can go into the gym and pull sumo and not feel like idk what the hell I am doing.

So many that do videos like this don’t explain it all in great detail as well as you do. Most of the others, especially women just show us the exercises without telling us how to do them properly. I have no idea if I’ve been doing my exercising properly I just try to copy what I see
