Exactly this! False teachers will always exist. But there would be far fewer of them if they didn't have such a huge audience. Those of us in free countries, especially America, have more Bibles as well as access to Bibles and biblical teaching, both in print and online, than any generation in the history of the world. I don't think that is hyperbole. I think that is factually true. And yet people seem more biblically illiterate than ever. I will never understand this. What is going in churches week after week that people are so susceptible to bad teaching?!

How I loved the Princess Bride reference! I was told years ago that the reason my precious 5 yr old daughter with severe Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis wasn’t healed was because I didn’t have enough faith for the Lord to heal her. I was devastated. Even after I stopped going there Jesus in fact did heal her! She’s grown now with 2 children of her own. We’ve been blessed beyond measure.
And I repeat, God DID heal her. It was God all along, the pastor is a man, no better than you, you petitioned God, in faith, and she was healed. Please don't cast shade on the pastor, he must have taught you what you needed to get your blessing.
Justin, my husband has MS and simple tasks are a struggle for him. He and I have had many conversations about his illness and healing. He has come to accept,like you, that though he asked God for healing, that it isn’t God’s will for him. But to me, the most beautiful aspect of what my husband believes, is that one day he will be in his glorified body and his struggles will be gone forever. In bad days yes, he still gets down about his situation having been so active in the past but he is confident that his situation is only temporary and will only affect him here on Earth.
Asking God to heal does NOT get healing. No where in scripture is anyone begging or pleading God to heal them I am so tired of this false teacher because that is what he is. Do you have any idea how many so called pastors have criticized Andrew Wommack because of what he teaches only to come to him and apologize. Many many have. The fool has no idea what he is talking about because wants all to be healed. It can not be calculated how much it cost Jesus to PAY for ALL healing. If you go about it correctly you will be healed but it will never happen listening to this false teacher. Often when Jesus healed someone he would tell them your sins are forgiven because it is apart of the same salvation package.
Funny thing here , God , Adonai healed me of very bad varicose veins , they were thick like a can of worms had been dumped on my leg . I was at a prayer and praise meeting and the varicose veins were hurting as I was standing . I was thinking , I will bare the pain so I can stand and honor God . I simply ask God , will you take this pain away and the varicose veins just dropped off . I never asked God to heal me , just take the pain away . This happened about 10 years ago in the town of Watford City , N. D. , during the oil boom and the varicose veins have never come back . All the healings that Jesus performed were not related to the faith with regards to salvation but rather to perform the prophesies about Him. Actually those whom He healed were maybe present when He was crucified shouting with joy. During the period before He was raised from the dead knowbody knows that He is the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is infuriating to me! My mother, who was a Christian, died in 1969 of cancer. She was 24 yrs old, left her husband (my daddy), my brother and me behind. She had the church praying for her, had men from the church put oil on her and pray, but God chose not to heal her. People have told me that my mom just “didn’t have enough faith “. I can’t tell you the anger that makes me feel! I don’t remember her at all and so look forward to seeing her in eternity! ❤
At our church, whenever a person who is saved, who we’ve been praying to be healed, dies instead, we say that person just received the ultimate healing, now “absent from the body and present with the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:8
That's part of the dark side of word of faith. According to what they teach, everything is your fault. If you don't get healed, you didn't have enough faith, if something bad happens to you, you spoke it into existence somehow, etc... Personally, I would be furious too, but it will be wonderful when we get to see our loved ones again. God bless.

One of the doctors wasn’t sure I’d survive the surgery so I thank him for trying but told him not to be upset if I didn’t survive because the Lord was with me and my life was in His hands. I've have tinnitus. It's constant. 24/7. It's the first thing I hear when I wake up and the last thing I hear before I sleep...which is difficult at the best of times. I have prayed many, many times for healing. Infact there have been times I felt like ending it all. Finally I said "Lord if you're not going to heal me, please give me the strength to endure this constant noise in my head." I'm still here and functioning. It's been 24 years now. God gave me strength to endure but for some reason He chooses not to heal me.

The tinnitus sounds like a jazz band sometimes- sounds amusing, but is not. Praying you'll find ways of coping with this distressing symptom and that God will continue to give you His strength from day to day.
Hello, praying for the tinnitus. It is so hard to live with. I deal with the same thing. I have ringing in my ears 24/7. When I go to bed at night, I have a TV turned on at a very low volume. It seems to help. If the light from the TV bothers you, try a radio. The low volume of sound seems to lessen the ringing.
I have two of Andrew’s books that were given to me by a chaplain who meant well. I was saved this year, but I am drinking from a fire hose with fire in my heart for Jesus Christ. I have read the entire Bible from start to ending this year. No, I study it. When I got the books, they are very interesting about prayer, but there’s something about my gift of intuition that God has given me and I just had the scratchy feeling . That’s what I call it whenever I have doubts about something I’m reading and learning. I am a hospice volunteer and my dearest patient who has become a friend has severe ALS . When I would start to pray in accordance to Andrew’s books, that scratchy feeling would surface. It didn’t feel right. Then while talking with God this morning, I said to the Lord, “ God why do we pray for one another and pray for healing when everything is according to your will?” When I prayed with my friend with ALS last time, I started saying, “Lord if it is your will, heal him, but Lord, thank you for bringing us together and this most unusual way for you are healing us spiritually through our friendship.” He needed me and I needed him. This friend of mine with ALS. Then I see this video tonight that you made. Everything is in accordance to God’s will. It’s because he has ALS that I met him. It’s because I went through what I went through that I became hospice volunteer that I met him. This is the glory of God. And by the way, my friend w ALS was in despair and had turned away from God. And now he has reignited his love of Jesus Christ during our time together over the last five months. THIS is worth everything because he will have a perfect body in the millennial kingdom because he is saved.

When I was still a baby Christian, I listened to Andrew Womack and Kenneth Copeland's show when Kenneth was not on. I tried to throw out the "everyone can be healed " because I knew it was false teaching and from personal experience with a very dear friend. It shortly got to a time when I couldn't listen to them anymore. And, on top of the faith to be healed preaching, there was a constant cry for money because Womack was expanding his church, and Copeland was after another private jet. I attended church regularly, but I also enjoyed listening to other ministers. There weren't as many to have to wade through back then. Now there are too many! I have found one that I have been watching every morning, M-F, and I know that I will probably move on and find another one in the future. I have seen God's hand at work in my life in miraculous ways last year and early this year. He answered prayer before I even asked a couple of times, only because I had followed the leading of the Holy Spirit! I just heard about another answered prayer today! Nothing compares to the kind of works Jesus performed when He walked this earth, but they are miracles nonetheless. I know I don't understand His ways, so when it appears that He isn't answering, I have enough faith and understanding to know that He is working His will and not mine. He is glorious and gracious and merciful. None can compare to God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit!
I’ve had a similar year. My husband passed in January and the grace of the Lord has guided me throughout some very challenging times. Some continue still. I am learning to be grateful for these things, because He is strengthening me. God is sovereign.

Peters is just offering sentimentality and critiquing false teachers which is fine but the fact is verses like James 5:14,15 can only mean one thing and especially that section of verses where faith, ie belief etc, of person’s prayers is directly linked to actual physical healing and all the charlatans in the world will never be able to change that irrefutable text. So when you read it how do you understand it? Seems clear that if it was God will for cerebral palsy then it would exist in heaven and Christ wouldn’t have had a healing ministry in the first place. And since Christ Himself prayed twice for the blind man it seems like multiple times of prayer would be helpful. Or don’t have anyone pray but let’s not pretend James 5:14,15 doesn’t say what it says because of our man made theological traditions bc that can not end well also-mk7:13
@JustinPetersMin Hey Justin I like how your ministry calls out false teachers like Benny Hinn etc.. However I would argue that just because someone believes healing is promised in scripture that does not make them a false teacher or a wolf. It is a legitimate theological position and one not held only by the word of faith people. I myself come from a Baptist background and still go to a Southern Baptist Church but I came to believe in divine healing.
It's also God's will (desire) to save everyone (1Tim.2:-3-4) yet hell is full of people who didn't receive salvation that God provided for them because they didn't exercise their faith to receive it.

If it’s Gods will to heal everyone, I am His child and I’ve been suffering with shingles nerve pain for over a year. It is the worst thing I’ve ever been through and I am a cancer survivor. There is no cure. It can be permanent. These guys make me sick. Justin is a man of God and I think the same way he does. If I have to live the rest of my life with this nerve pain, I have eternity to live without it.

I’ve had Type 1 Diabetes for 60 years. I was very close to death when the doctor finally stopped giving me shots of penicillin and tested my blood sugar level. I still remember the first shot of insulin entering my body. Through my experience my LORD taught me about Spiritual Diabetes and I am so grateful that He cured me of that!

The sheer notion of “enough faith” is ridiculous to begin with. The power of faith is whom it’s in, not how much one has. That’s why Jesus said you can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed. You have enough faith simply because you believe in the One who can do all things. You certainly don’t need tongues to prove that.

Maybe it’s just being exposed to enough of it that the pain is dulled but I think part of it is realizing 1. These people want this. False teachers do deceive people but they simply use people’s own selfish and evil desires to do so. Jesus said it’s what comes out of a man that makes him impure. They listen because it’s in their hearts, and because the road fha leads to death is broad, that section of the road is only deceptively Christian…they’re just using Jesus to remain of the world. 2. The Lord knows his own. No one can snatch his true sheep out of his hand. Some of the deceived will be awakened by God to the true gospel. While the Bible doesn’t preach that God chooses people to go to hell, it does preach that he chooses people to be his (this is the Lutheran stance, which is different from Calvinism’s double predestination and limited atonement). This is where the doctrine of election is a comfort. It’s also a call to keep sharing the Word with everyone who will listen.

And I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior, I know I deserve hell, but through his shed blood he saved me, I’ll never be close to perfect, not even close, but I want to live my life for his glory and be the best man for him! I really like this post. I had 2 special needs kids. My daughter passed at 12 years old, my son passed at 16 years old. I know without a doubt God could heal them and He did, just not in this life time. They are healed and whole and because of what Christ did for me I know I will see them again.
Yes, it annoys me, too. I love and worship God with every breath in me, and i also have a condition that has no cure, Polycythemia Vera, I'm 10 years in from my body doing what it does. Dec 2023 to April 2024, i had 5 strokes. Now im having problems with my eyes and internal pain in my abdomen along with various other awful things. Part of PV is suffering in my body. I know every day that Jesus suffered in ways no humans combined will ever know. Maybe im dead, and my suffering is all a dream according to Andrew Wommack 😒 One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Corinthians 12:9: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ's power may rest on me." When i have my really bad days, my pain also reminds me of part of a song, The things of earth become strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. It irritates me that ppl will say to anyone who suffers, oh well you just dont have enough faith to be healed. We live in a sinful world, we get sick, we go through all types of situations, physically, emotionally, etc. It seems the ppl who say we dont have enough faith dont know Abba Father, and they live life with rose colored glasses on. The people who “raised” my wife didn’t bother to raise her, or her siblings. When the atrocious stewardship that she learned from her mother caught up with us, I was told that our financial issues were because of a “lack of faith”, and being stingy (though I did engage in some genuine sacrificial giving.) Of course nobody would help us see the truth. That was, in part, because that would have thrown shade on her mother who shouted, and testified (ad nauseam), and marked up her Bible, and all the other signs of a “real Christian”. It took years to escape the bitterness and those lies. In fact, I was dealing with that when God healed me of colon cancer. Not because of my faith, not because I pleased that preacher, not because of any “signs”. Because it was His good pleasure to do so. He brought me back into the Way because it pleased Him to show mercy to someone who did not deserve it, and to fulfill His will. Period.
I live in Colorado Springs met a nice couple at Walmart and mentioned JESUS they said oh yeah we’re real high at Andrew Womack’s church ugh honestly left me speechless. I pray for them.
I've been told several times that I haven't been healed (I have incurable liver disease, a blood disorder that causes blood clots, I've had 8 so far and several other major illnesses) because I don't have enough faith, I'm not praying right, not repeating "healing Scriptures," etc. It's devastating to be blamed for being sick. I now know how heretical this teaching is. I was diagnosed at 34 and the life expectancy for the liver disease alone is 2 to 5 years. I just wanted to live long enough for my husband and I to raise our children together. I turned 65 in July! Now, I ask you, what is the bigger miracle? Being healed or the Lord sustaining my life all these years? My doctors are amazed that I'm still here and still functioning! I'm quick to tell them that it's Jesus Who sustains me! Andrew Wommack spins the same line as all the other faith preachers. If they pray for someone to be healed and it does not happen, they say, the person did not have faith! Pay me money and you will get back a hundred fold they say and it does not happen because they did not have faith! Sickening!

My best friend loves Andrew wommack and Joseph Prince her and I have argued over them immensely and I tried to listen to them and I just couldn't I cannot go along with someone that says if you're sick it's because you thought it,
The faith that those had in the Bible, was not necessarily anything to do with getting what they wanted, i.e. healing, their “Faith” was in God!! TRUST GOD
I joined a women’s Bible study with a good friend. The book they were doing was Andrew Womack’s Harnessing Your Emotions. Both of us were diagnosed with bipolar, that’s how we met. Both of us were managing it with medication and therapy. The book was a train wreck and nearly cost her her life and the life of her children and her marriage. I only went for a couple weeks before I could not keep attending because the teaching was outrageous. I begged her to quit. I told her we could do our own Bible study but she was hooked on Andrew’s southern drawl and ‘powerful teaching’. She ‘in faith’ abruptly quit her meds cold turkey. Over the next month she had direct revelation from God they she was 2nd Eve, her husband was 2nd Adam and her son was a shell for Lucifer and she had to ‘crush his head’. One day she bought a horse and was found riding through the woods naked and was on her way to ‘eliminate Lucifer’. She believed after she eliminated him she could raise her real son back from the dead. She spent $20k on this horse, ended up committed to a mental hospital for months. It was months after that before she was deemed safe to be around her children.
12:58 Thank you, this was healing for me. Somewhere in the ninetees they literary said in a "healing service" that we must not just believe that God c a n heal, but surely w i l l heal everybody. I had a couple of those experiences but my hearing loss only got worse over the years. Rationally I know all this was false, but I probably still needed to hear someone say that my faith in God is enough, like balsam for a deep wound of the soul. Keep up the good work.
I’m flabbergasted. Haven’t used that word since never. I think that’s the first time I’ve used that word, I’ve heard it, but I’ve never used it. By the way I’m 57 years old and yes I grew up in The Bronx New York and I’m also a veteran. 😂😂

Then you said you about choked on your sandwich, so I thought, hmm, better be careful. And then out of the kindness of heart you let us know that we were at the point of crazy. Justin can you please do a detailed video on the whole Steve Lawson issue. I am so confused and do not know what to make of it all. So many different contradictory and non-biblical videos and comments out there. Need to hear a solid biblical video and approach on the whole matter. Thanks.
I have a friend who shares Benny Hinn videos on Instagram, I told her clearly: don't watch Benny Hinn, he exploits the poor and is a fraud. She probably didn't like it, but at the end it's not your responsibility what they do with the information
Justin I appreciate all that you do BUT , can you please stop addressing the beta wolves like Womack and Copeland and start going after guys like John Piper and William Lane Craig, who teach strong deception . Feel like a lot of your time is wasted on false teachers that false converts want. It's the more sly individuals who need to be addressed
@bellabelle6 He is an Armenian, and if you look at armenianism, Their 5 points completely go against the gospel message. He is also a mullinist. He believes God has middle knowledge and has to look into the future to decide what's going to happen. That theory takes away God's foreknowledge and creates heresy. He also is an evolutionist, which teaches that God couldn't have just spoken things to be they had to evolve. The guy is a good speaker Don't get me wrong, but he is what we call an alpha Wolf because he has sleight-of-hand with his words. And if you aren't doctrinally sound, you'll be deceived and won't even know it.
I watched the Princess Bride as an unbeliever, trying to re-watch it some time ago I turned it off as I do all movies that take the name of our Lord and use it as a profanity.
