@@basharassadreal1971 No because it was never needed. 100k for a jeep just cause it can go fast and has a hood scoop is a massive waste. Theyre built for 2 things, offroading like no ones business and mall crawling. Get a regular wrangler for 40k and it will do more than half the things that the over priced one can do.
In 2001 (before the housing market stupidity) I bought a 3br brick house with a fenced yard and a detached garage for $86K. $100K for a Wrangler is just dumb.
The average wrangler on the market costs 50K . And that doesn’t even get you a base Rubicon. Times have changed, and the technology/ features added…. You can’t even compare it to an older wrangler. Not even a JK. It’s comparing apples to oranges
There’s one thing missing that would make the JLU 392 so much fun. If you can’t guess, then I’ll fill you in on the obvious. The fun missing item would be a clutch pedal 😉
Any vehicle with a hemi gets bad gas mileage. And all Jeep Wranglers get bad gas mileage too even the V6 models get 18mpg. So when you put a V8 in a wrangler your probably looking at 14-15mpg.
I have less than what the sales tax alone would cost on that thing invested in my 2004 JK. It doesn’t exactly “sound like freedom” but saving 90 grand sure feels like it!
If your married with kids great choice but if you’re just being cheap then I’d say spend a little for more comfort and new tech, people value money over time and comfort these days which is the wrong mindset

@@CaliPaliGuy Married with a kid but it’s comfortable for me. Plus I just add the technology I want. Have CarPlay and everything. Don’t care for parking sensors or lane assist, they annoy me more than anything.
@@THESLlCK This is really the point. But mind if I ask: would it really cost 50k over a normal Wrangler to build something similar? I ask mostly because I dont know how much would labor costs be in the USA.
@@kenim Well, consider the parts involved. The motor alone is bare minimum 12k USD. Then the transmission is another 3K. The drivetrain is another 5k at least. Wheels and tires are another 2K. Then the interior is over 5k. The exhaust is 2k. Finally your bumpers and roof panels and exterior parts are going to be another 3 to 5k depending on where you get them. That’s not including labor. That’s just parts. So if you put all the time and money it takes to make something like it, it’s not really worth it, unless you want to build something much faster that wouldn’t be able to use parts from an existing Wrangler 392.
I'd rather tell them that baseball players will make hundreds of millions of dollars while at the same time, regular season is watched by almost no one and that rhe sport is like the 4th most popular in the country.
My 2007 JK still going strong with no major issues. It’s called maintenance and taking care of your property. I’m part of jeep club. Lots of 08-12’s with 200k mikes and still running trails.
@@myadhdSquirel 😂. I would get something waaayyyy better than a Escalade V homie !! I would try find a used Porsche gt3RS or something along the lines. I have no need for that big of a vehicle lol. It’s just me.
It looks really nice. It sounds really nice, and it breaks down like crazy really nice. It's way over prize, and they break down ever 5,000 miles. My boss just had the engine replaced on his jeep for $18k, and it only had 40k miles, and it's still giving him a lot of problems.
The 6 cylinder JL/JT feels like driving in a loose cardboard box on the highway. No way in hell would I want to be flying around with a 392 under the hood lol
They have a special mode where its impossible to turn the steering wheel past 55mph as even the slightest turn at that speed will flip the Jeep 8 times
Had a friend with one of these. Wrecked it. Rolled multiple times and absolutely destroyed it driving on a road that he wasn’t familiar with at night. Surprised he survived.
the average working mans salary is between 40 an 50k, yet a freaking jeep is nearly 100k and homes are a zillion dollars , no wonder America's filled with crime, drug and alcohol addiction , and homelessness , great job america , keep up the great job
Wtf does this have to do with America? Cars ars expensive everywhere. No one is forcing you to buy it either. Filled with crime, drug addiction etc. Sounds like the world, not just America
Then you realize it’s attached to yet another overweight brick Stellantis slapped it into. It’s gets more funny when you realize a Prius has a higher top speed than this too.
Chrysler corporation had to come down on the dealerships a little bit because of how bad they were taxing people. They were out here selling hellcats for 120 and in some cases up to 150 grand at my local dealership and they were actually getting people approved for loans for like seven and eight years.I went there to trade in my 2012 wrangler for a base sport model four-cylinder wrangler last year and they told me my payment was gonna be around $950 a month. A base model four-cylinder wrangler.😂. They offered me $7000 for my 2012 Wrangler with less than 150,000. I’m still driving my 2012 wrangler needless to say. It’s not a poor person. It’s just the point. I don’t know if they have drastically come down on the prices or not but I heard they had to actually start charging MSRP for things again and it’s pretty much every car company not just Chrysler products. In my opinion, your car shouldn’t cost as much as your house. It’s pretty damn ridiculous.
