💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

Dude this time last year my wife and I had just landed in Syracuse and her mom picked us up. We spent Christmas in DeRuyter where they live. I've always asked my mother in law to pick me up some Hercules candy (fruit and friendly is my jam) in years past whenever she needs to ship us something (we are in NC) she'd throw in some candy - at my request of course. Well, I don't know my way around the area so I had no idea where we were driving to when we left the airport. And then boom! we were in your parking lot. I was shocked. I've been watching you guys for years. We went in, bought a bunch of stuff, beanies, candy, a bunch of other stuff. I spotted Steve and called his name and he came and shook my hand and talked for a bit. I swear it was like meeting a celebrity. To me, it was meeting a celebrity. Then your mom came to say hey and gave me some branded stuff you guys have. She could tell I was a fan. I have been a candy junkie for my entire 38 years and it really showed that day. Man that was an awesome day. I fangirled out so hard it was a little embarrassing but I wouldn't change it. You guys are awesome. Thank you for the videos, knowledge, honest opinions, and fantastic candy. You've got a customer for life in me - all due to RU-vid believe it or not.

I think it would be good to make the peanut butter like the center of a resse cup. And that string of beads was doing that cause of a glue hair, not static.

Ugh, I love watching these but they give me such a sweet tooth! Every year for over half a decade now I’ve said “one day I’ll buy myself Hercules candy”. First it was a personal issue, then Covid, then a direct hit from hurricane Ian, now I’m dealing with a disability. But I’ll say it again. One day I’ll buy myself Hercules candy for Christmas! Hopefully next year! I look forward to these Christmas themed videos every year. Then again, all the holidays are fun to watch.

So I was watching your video from almost 7 yrs ago on how yo make your chocolate covered cherries as this is a favorite of my elderly dads and I wanted to make it for him and didn’t know how..anyhow..as I’m watching the video I heard the son say you are located in Syracuse, Ny ..it immediately clicked that my brother in law use to bring the ribbon candy from his families owned store when he came to visit us which we live 3-1/2 hr away..I just went to your online store and read the history and sure enough you are my late brother in laws relatives his name was Brian Andrianos ..I don’t think he knew you had a YT channel because he never mentioned it to us..

All I want for Christmas is 2 bags of “fluffernutter” ribbon candy! I was born in RI and I survived on fluffernutter sandwiches (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff). Have you guys ever thought of doing a jelly and fluff ribbon? I’d make that as a sandwich too.

Hmm I wonder if using a piping bag (like for cake frosting) for the peanut butter filling would be easier and possibly cleaner. Lol my engineering mind wants to optimize all the packaging steps... The presentations you do is really pretty and clean. You guys are obviously proud of the work you do.
