Got nothing for the pinned comment this video... I guess ill just say you are cool and I love ya, come stop by the livestream sometime so i can say it to your face twitch.tv/mactics
Nice video!!! New build to make 😂 but I have a question, you said intellect and resistance is the most important, but you have discipline higher than intellect 😅
Bro please, one favor. Just like how you show all the armor mods on one screen, can you please show all the fragments and aspects on one screen? Even if it's just a two second glympse. If I'm missing this and you already do that, I apologize.
super fun build, shards has always been so fun for more blade barrages but with the new buff this is amazing! one thing to note for anyone thinking of opting for healing grenade and gunpowder gamble, make sure you're keeping an eye on your gunpowder gamble stacks! grenade ability prioritizes gamble over your equipped grenade and it's really easy to accidentally boom yourself when expecting a healing grenade lmao
I use Healing grenade on my Caliban's build and uhh...yeah this happens more often than it should 😂 Gunpowder is just too fun to drop for me, its the ultimate space cowboy shooting Dynamite
Quick few things to note and please correct me if I’m wrong. First, INT is not needed since the knife kills give a %. So I would prioritize RES>DIS>MOB. Second, with the current artifact perks you do not need the grenade for another another way to scorch enemies since you will almost always be scorching. With this I would take healing grenade for fast reliable healing. Third, I would maybe drop mercy and go with beams. I almost always have healing grenade ready when I need it so the restoration from mercy doesn’t help me as often.
There are certainly lots of cool Gunslinger builds available this season, but nothing is going to make me less salty about the Young Ahamkara's Spine nerf. It was never the strongest build, it's survivability was pretty mid, but it was FUN. It was a such a wild glass cannon play style, and it felt awesome to dodge around attacks while burning down high health enemies with the ability loop and surviving by the skin of your teeth. And for it to be nerfed right before the Ahamkara themed season and when it would have synergized so well with Dragon's Breath? An absolute travesty.
@@jamesbartolowits465 It's *survivability* was mid, in the sense that it had far more limited access to damage resistance and healing than most builds. It had no DR beyond what any build can get from Resistance and chest mods. Access to Restoration from Ember of Mercy/Empyrean was limited because of a bug that causes the restoration timer to reset to 2 seconds every time you pick up a Firesprite, meaning to maintain your stacks you had to actively avoid picking up additional Firesprites. Ember of Resolve could get you some healing from grenade kills, but this was unreliable in harder content where a single tripmine wasn't guaranteed to land a kill, and it wasn't that much health per kill. Most builds these days are rocking easy infinite uptime Restoration, Devour, Invisibility, Woven Mail, or some other significant source of DR, healing, or damage avoidance (like Weavewalk on Broodweaver.) YAS by comparison has far fewer options for staying alive in high end activities. That doesn't mean a skilled player couldn't stay alive, but they did have to work harder at it. This is why I saw the fantastic neutral game damage from the grenades as a trade off rather than as something that was too powerful. The build was amazing at one or two things, not amazing at everything.
I'm gonna miss my skippy arc build but man this looks fun! I can't wait to get home and try this out. Tripwire build was awesome but the super regeneration looks amazing!! Great job as always man!
I'M SO HYPED FOR THIS. SoG is my favorite hunter exotic and I've been waiting for an infinite knives build from you especially now that they've been buffed
The build looks fun, but I wish you were showcasing builds on a little higher difficulty content. Last time I tried a similar build in legendary sector - it took all 3 knives to kill an orange bar, which is difficult to do every time. The loop breaks, I have to wait for the dodge and find an enemy with already low health to start the loop again.
If you want a build for legend use Ophidia spathe and weighted throwing knife. It’s an inherent unstoppable stun and easy ignition procs. Basically just knife, dodge, shoot, knife.
So you run healing grenade and put on empyrean. I typically rock x3 100s and I'll always have healing nade available when I need it with proper mod set up even post nerf. Opens up other combo options for frags
Been in love with shards since they dropped and gave you your super back entirely in crucible lol. This is the excuse I’ve been looking for to use them again
Something to note about Mercy, pickup firesprites resets your restoration back to 2 seconds even if its currently higher from extensions. Still very useful from how many you can make, but it will go against some fragments because of this issue (I don't know if bungie addressed it or not)
I have a hunter build I like using thing survives decent solar hunter Armor-assassin cowl Knife trick and healing Grenade gamblers dodge Aspects-knock ‘‘em down on your mark Fragments- torches, singing, searing, solace, empyrean Weapons is shot or mini tool Helmet-solar siphon, font, hands on Arms- 2x hands on Chest- just damage resistance mods or you can add charged up if you would like Legs-surge and elemental charge Class item-time dilation, powerful attraction, Bomber. Basically get in close do a healing gernade and start using knife invisibility helps get in close so 3 knives can hit and end the target if there is a lot usually a shot or two from sun shot will scorch and then the knives will cause the ignition. Also if you want some range on the super and to extend restoration I use deadshot it’s more add clear
Great build video as usual. My one suggestion would be to run font of wisdom instead of the second hands-on to boost super refresh even when you aren't knifing adds.
Good build but like with most it’s not going to be viable in end game content as most ads will not be one shot by knife trick and you have to engage in close quarters for it to be effective. Wish ender and builds focused around survivability will continue to dominate in that space.
I go triple Hands On, and triple Heavy Handed. The later gives you an orb of power ever kill, with a ONE second delay. And roughly every 6-8th kill it spawns 4 big orbs. I’ve had supers with roughly 10 seconds between them, as long as there are ads. The scorching is both great and a problems as you melee a red bar and he explodes, killing 5 others that would’ve been 5 free kills.
The damage from it is an amazing trade off. Was just watching damage test for it and its pretty nuts. In a GM your not gonna be able to kill adds with melee as reliably as other activities so blades is not gonna be the best option. I would go either star eaters or Celestial for GMs. I might have to just put down start eaters all together due to the orb drop rate nerf. @@Riversky88
The time has come for Shards to come back into my inventory, I shall relive the old days of early Forsaken with this build, though I miss the days of infinite blade barrage when Gambit reached tie break
I haven’t found a reason to put down my punch everything arc hunter, but i have now. Solar is definitely my main class this season. Plus, i get to flex triple 100’s unlike my assasins cowl build😂
the build to save time BLADE BARRAGE GAMBLERS DOGE/TRIPPLE JUMP/KNIFE TRICK/FUSION GERNADE KNOCK EM DOWN/ON YOUR MARK EMBERS OF TORCHES/EMPYREAN/SEARING/SINGEING/MERCY idk why hunter builds are always split up and blurred
I've been looking forward to this build since the knife kills add to super energy perk got leaked for Shards of Galanar a few weeks back ... Was the first build I did when the season opened. I Love it..... I popped blade barrage 7 times in one strike.....
Knife trick is great, but with free scorch from Kindling Trigger, I've been building into ignitions on this and Ophidia by shooting once to proc scorch, then a Weighted Throwing Knife. It's hilarious.
I just can't go back to throwing knives 24/7, going radiant with no abilities has been so nice. I dont mind abilities but I prefer having situational ones that I keep in my pocket while focusing on gunplay. This seasonal artifact finally lets me use primary ammo weapons as my main focus instead of the thing I use when I'm out of special and heavy ammo AND my abilities are on cooldown.
Personally I've been running Gunpowder Gamble over On Your Mark with Ember of Char over Searing + Mercy. This gives GPG the ability the scorch for synergy with Singeing, also allowing you to run healing grenades for a much more reliable source of healing for Empyrean over firesprites. GPG is better for general ad clear when compared to fusion grenades and will have a significantly higher uptime as TK kills give you a 4/6 charge. Pair this with Impact Induction for more healing grenade uptime to improve survivability.
FUCKKKKKKKK.... I'm supposed to be getting dressed for work, but I'm actually watching this video and building my hunter right now... Looks like I'll skip packing lunch
There's two kinds of Solar Hunters: revolver cowboys and knife tricksters I'm a Nightstalker by heart but Solar throwing knives is my second favorite Hunter play style ❤ thank you for the build!!
Awesome build as always ! … Do you have thought on the celestial nighthawk that they buffed ? After the Ahamkara spine being nerfed rn only other two exotics I’m liking is shards of galanor and celestial nighthawk being really good this season of the wish
my problem with all of this is playing on difficulties where you cant keep killing enemies with just the knife, so i basically have a similar build but with sixth coyote instead
Want to just say this is aslo a really good build to use a swap to golden gun and nighthawk if needed, since nighthawk dosent need much in the way of mods or fragments, also personally why i went with on your mark over knock em down
@@LintyLahLah haven't looked at dregen yet, thought I'd just do something random first and here is what I have so far: Ketchkiller's mask with coleoptera shader Errant Knight 1.0 with mercurian sunrise Ketchkiller's strides with crucible alizarin Suns apex cloak with rosescale
Yall should try out shards with dragons breath and gunpowder gamble, and also build into ignitions, you'll see the loop and constant ×5 fuel even without the catalyst by using a gunpowder gamble bomb, its basically a free 2 extra fuel since its a on demand ignition
My only issue with this build is that it doesn't work as you describe it for high level content if you are under leveled. The red bars don't die from your knife trick so you have to soften them up a bit with your gun then start the loop. But I'd argue that it's not a pure ability spam build.
Tbh I'd probably take a healing grenade and drop ember of mercy, but replace it with Ember of beams. Might even see if I can make room for Combustion. If we're going all in on the Super, I wanna go all in.
what builds are worth using then for endgame content? im new and need something for endgame everytime i copy these i just get melted only build thats ever worked was wishender oprheus rig spam@@enterthekyuubi
It's not that the knives reduced the cooldown of your super, in the patch notes, galanor returns 2.5-4% of super energy depending on the type of combatant defeated
yeah... so.......... for the mathemetician / english professor, that equates literally as reducing the cooldown of your super by 2.5-4%. and as long as we're needlessly correcting, uhm AKshully it's 5%, not 4% on the high end.
Thanks for all your great Destiny videos. What would be the third Stat you would build into? I have Resillience and Intellect at 100 without mods. So I could invest in either Discipline or perhaps even better into Mobility. What makes more sense?
I'm failing to understand what triggers restoration on throwing knife kill I've been reading through everything and I can't find it anywhere if anyone knows it'll be a great help thank you and it isn't explained in the video either it just says you will have infinite healing
It might be "Bitterpearl" shader, obtained via collecting 12(?) shards in Vault of Glass raid. (Can be done solo at Gorgon Checkpoint by backtracking to the beginning then running back through)
Still unhappy with the Ahamkara Spine nerf and that still feels like a solar hunter playstyle that just totally lost its viability, but I will hand it to bungie that these exotic buffs made a whole lot of other options for solar hunters feel a lot better now
I don't think it will work properly in content beyond legend. These knifes are very weak and chances of not killing something are very high. Nighthawk looks more stable at this point in terms of high-end content.
How does this work? Don't we need Ember of Solace to get the extended duration of radiant and restoration to 12 seconds? I cant equip that with everything else. Lol am I doing something wrong? My restoration and radiant only last around 5 seconds
Can you do a build with Caliban's hand exotic and solar, I know it's not as good for super energy like shards of G but the amount of explosions you get per knife melee kill are insane, it basically turns ever your melee into a mini nuke 🙂
