Thank you for sharing this Vlog with us. To me this is what Thailand is all about. The community coming together and every one with a part to play. Something we have lost in western society. It never used to be that way but now in the West people have lost the family connection. I know this will never happen in Thailand and I hope it continues this way long into the future

Every time I watch your videos I say a prayer for your family. And a prayer for each one of you individually. Thank you for making these videos! It touches an old man’s heart. The ginger you referred is not ginger, and it is galangal. Khmer and Thai Kroeung has galangal in it, and doesn't include ginger. Just a thought...

Well done Damo for explaining this wonderful old Thai tradition which has been lost in many villages due to older people dying without passing it on to younger people. Your grandmother must have been a much loved person for the whole village to turn out to help prepare things. Ryan's teaching and home education is such a help to Otis who is learning so much in a relaxed environment. I love the way that Hugo is joining in with everything and being made a fuss of by everyone including dear "Uncle Monk". God bless you all and all the villagers who so unselfishly help. 🙏😀❤

This video brought tears to my eyes, not of sadness but tears of joy and happiness, how beautiful life can be, so real, so pure. Compared to the busy, artificial and consumer based societies in the west. I would trade everything in the world to have that. I will be marrying my beautiful Thai girlfriend on songkran soon , the first steps of my new life 😊 less is more they say and this truly embodies it. I lack words to say how wonderful this looks. I find the Thai traditions to be quite intersting. The mix of old and new. I attended a funeral on my last visit. One of the neighbors at the farm. The entire village was in attendance. Although I couldn't understand what was being said by the monks, I could tell that the people had great respect for the ceremony. The video of the chilli preperation and the decorations demonstrates how Thai people come together to help. Something that has long been lost in America, and the west in general. Keep doing what you are. The insight into rural Thailand is greatly appreciated.
