Mail in NYC says NYC, Clearly different areas. In my opinion NYC is Manhattan and all the boroughs are separate areas. We can agree to disagree. I have traveled the world but I’m from here and understand how’s it’s set up. Long Island is LI, Queens is Queens & the real NYC is Manhattan. You don’t have to agree but that’s the way I see it. People that visit also see it that way. All are NY but separate boroughs.

You live in those places you can vote for Mayor of NEW YORK CITY, go to NYC Public Schools, and are a resident of NYC. People from what's called Long Island (Nassau & Suffolk Counties) cannot, but the geographical Long Island is made up of Queens, Brooklyn and Nassau/Suffolk. New York City is the biggest city within New York State. BTW, what are you talking about "NYC" on the mail? That's not how mail works in the US at all! You have to label whatever you're mailing by City/Town/Neighborhood and State (which is ALWAYS a two-letter abbreviation), so it would be Flushing, NY or Harlem, NY. There's no State called NYC!

TRUTH--I live in this community, this is the NYC for about huge number of immigrants, but it's only about 2% of NYC. So this is very limited, and biased. You don't show the rich areas, the middle-class areas..
Exactly and look at the comments. I notice a lot of YT vloggers like showing the crappy parts of NYC to get views. But don't go to other states. Which looks 100 x worse.

@@sosmra You are wrong. I do live in NYC. Brought Up here. I have been to many places and continents. I am not saying the USA is yet that bad. But it's deteriorating day by day. For Example, I was in Australia last year. Sydney is the biggest city in Australia. The difference is day and night. I was in Dubai as well. You can literally leave your car or house door open. Nothing will happen. Can you do it in NYC? My car got broken 3 times last 4 years. You need to travel to more places outside of the USA to see the differences. Don't bring up some part of Manhattan, those are official places. It will always be nice and secure. We the people are suffering.

It's a SHAME the way NYC sidewalks are misused these days. People should NEVER be allowed to lay down a piece of cloth or plastic and take up pedestrian space to sell ANYTHING. I blame the Mayor for letting his city get this way!!!
They say nothing in life stays the same…Born and raised in Manhattan, I left the city in 1999. Still has some remnants of old NYC in certain areas. Miss them hot dogs!
I didn't see anything in the video that was so terrible. I live in Munich in Germany and therefore can't judge it well. In my city things are logically different. But compared to videos from other cities in the US, the streets look clean and the people seem normal. Which of course says nothing about the actual living situation of the people who live and work there.
Tell me what's the best place in the City? Besides lower Manhattan, that's the business district or Part of Asotria or Dumbo. They are nice being closer to the city.

First of all Trump and Giuliani were never in office at the same time. Giuliani cleaned up Times Square and helped the city get back on it's feet after 911, so I agree with you about that. I don't know what happened to him, but he became a real idiot and deranged. Now disbarred thank goodness. Trump did nothing to help NYC crime while in office except in front of Trump Tower. He does more to help Florida and the rich cronies that kiss his ass. I'm a native New Yorker for 69 years. Trump grew up in my neighborhood and my father-in-law owned an Appliance store where Mary and Fred used to buy some of their appliances. No PC Richard or other big name stores in those days. Also, this video highlights the lower income areas of various parts of the city which is nothing new. Every major city has areas like this.

What would you expect of a city without cops, I see 4-6 cops a day when I'm there and there always parked and on there phones. NYPD does nothing and that makes a dream city for criminal life.

Ich finde das Viertel der Stadt aber auch nicht schlimm! Macht doch erst den Charakter einer Stadt aus! Da viele Asiaten dort leben, gibt es auch viel Streetfood und kleine Geschäfte auf dem Bürgersteig! Es kann nicht ÜBERALL gut und sauber aussehen! Selbst bei uns in Deutschland sieht es in Großstädten teilweise schlimm aus... Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt.... Aber mich stört es nicht! Solang die Menschen freundlich sind! Es gibt genug Gegenden, wo alles sauber und ordentlich ist! In Amerika gibt es von allem - alles 😅😅 Aber das mögen die Menschen doch an den USA

your title, surprisingly, is misleading. Looks like definitely Queens, esp Jackson Heights along Roosevelt Ave. NYC is a pretty big place. Rethink your title to the neighborhood you are recording.
