Once I met this woman at a friend’s house. We really clicked that night on. We hung out every night up to two months then we went on an “official” date, and a month later we were talking marriage and got married about a year after we met. Some would say we fell in love too fast, and maybe we did. Somehow it all worked out and is still working out sixteen years of marriage later.

You know, I used to love that one person. At that time and up until now, I can't define what is love. I did and gave him everything I could, and let him break me apart. As time passes, my wound is healed, but deep down in my heart, I know I could never love someone the way I used to love him, not anymore because he changed me. He was, and always will be a part of me, no matter what I want to call him, a mistake, or a memory. I did not hate him, nor deny him, in fact, I accepted him. The love is far gone, but the respect, the admiration, and the affection are still there. You know, to love someone doesn't mean you have to keep that person around, to me, to be able to let someone you love go is the truest love. One day I will be stronger, but my love, you will always be in the softest place of my heart. I wish you nothing but strength, luck, and happiness to go on in life.

A patient in hospital told me that he bumped into a girl when he went rollerskating, on leave from the navy. They talked all night after that and he walked her home afterwards. He said a 15 minute walk took 2 hours because they talked so much and that night, the same night they met, she suggested they should marry. He told me they got married within the year. He had just celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary with her. How crazy is that??!!! He told me he still loved her just as much and wouldn't be without her for the world ❤. This isn't the only story I have heard from patients like this. Sometimes you know straight away that you have stumbled on a good thing and you don't want to lose them. Sometimes you just need to go for it. Or perhaps older people didn't feel the need to try out countless people until they found the perfect one, perhaps they were just content with a nice person? Maybe there's a lesson in that...... Anyway, there in a nutshell is why dating is so hard. How can we possibly know what the right thing is to do? Still looking for answers here...

My husband and I met in our mid 20’s we were friends first, 5 years later we were roommates. Years down the road we were boyfriend and girlfriend. 12 years past in our mid 30’s we were engaged. I disagree with this. Everyone loves at different speeds, some are more open whilst others are more reserved. To each one of us, love represents something unique. With each person you meet, your love will be different. With each love comes lessons. Some loves last longer than others. But my main advice is be true to how you feel, stop controlling it. What you can control though, are the actions you take.

Whilst I appreciate the intention of this video, but am AMAZED at the generalisations and separation consciousness being shared so freely by someone people seemingly look to for guidance. We are nearing the end of 2020, higher spiritual pathways are opening gateways to deep healing and all this video can do is bash up the shadows? Maybe the dating culture of the West has created the need for such a message but I’m still appalled at the way this video is giving a leading statement, making people believe that somehow they right person’ won’t hurt them or make them feel insecure’. True relationships don’t just bring out the best but sometimes the worst fears of the people involved and that’s where lovers can find a safe space to heal themselves and grow together. I fell in love real quick, it’s as if we had known each other forever, we had a deep connection and chemistry and after many highs and lows, the love has only grown stronger in all of these seven years. Sometimes ‘good guys’ and ‘committed partners’ can flip after years together, leaving the other wondering what happened. I’m saying, you can never be too sure of a person and love is always a risk. Always. That said, it’s not only upto people to try and make the right choices but also build a robust relationship with their own selves that nothing and no one can threaten. That’s true commitment :)

As for me, I fell in love once and that was the first relationship for me and got hurt. I was engaged to him then things did not work out with my fiance and I and we broke up. Our relationship stayed for 2 years and before that I knew him as a friend for around a year and a half. Well since then till now (it's been some long time), I've always prayed never to love or fall in love with anyone and yes I've been happily living as a young and single lady. I'm actually planning to stay single for the rest of my life. I'm too busy doing my own plans and I really don't have time to be in a relationship. Also, it's all of a headache.
