Hey folks! In today’s video, we’re back with more modded Balatro. This time, we’re trying out the Cheesy Jokers mod which adds several unique Jokers to Balatro that still feel like they could fit into the vanilla game. In particular, A.I. Joker allowed me to get varying rewards by performing different actions each round. Enjoy the video!
Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

Imagine a run with Pareidolia (to make everything face cards), sock and buskin, the modded joker that turns a face card into any suit, and then a bunch of jokers such as bloodstone or arrowhead

I don't really get it. What is the value from the stencil joker if AI joker generates negative jokers? They're still not empty slots. Am I missing something?

The negative jokers that give +2 mult give a Joker slot. Which gives value to joker stencil

I think the point is that they can give flat mult without taking up a joker slot (though bloodstone basically makes it not matter anyways)

@@toddoverholt4556 Joker Stencil counts empty joker slots. But if you have a negative joker, you gain an extra place which is then taken by said negative joker. Doesn't it equal out?

@@ChannelIsNotInUse No, the negative tag makes it so that the joker doesn't take up a slot at all. Adding a negative joker to a joker roster with 4/5 jokers will make it 5/6 jokers

@@toddoverholt4556 yes that's the point. It goes from 4/5 (1 empty slot) to 5/6 (1 empty slot). Joker Stencil only looks at empty slots, which in both cases would be only 1.

It's crazy that you could have bought the arrowhead and gotten value from it because of surrealist joker. Surrealist joker + all face cards means you could have a run where you get value from all of the gemstone jokers at the same time.

It's equivalent to swapping the edition, enhancement, and seal. If you remember a recent video where he had to get a poly gold red seal 7d all the way to Kc, you may be able to see the benefit
