Of course Anakin is still special. The twins, on top of not being quite as powerful, were intentionally conceived through- what we can assume based on dialogue- witchcraft. Anakin-also based on dialogue or even the 'Darth Plagueis' novel- was the Force doing it by itself.

There's a huge difference since Osha and Mae were created WITH the force which doesn't really make them special after all we knew Darth Plagueis could create life. Anakin on the other hand was created by the WILL of the force, the force created him and no one else.

I don’t think this episode had conderdict to Anakin’s origins. There was other children with the Force we saw in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and even The Bad Batch showed the force sensitives babies with mothers didn’t showed fathers showing up with them. Also, they never said that Osha nor Mae were part of the Chosen Ones since Jedi Masters might have Osha already took her Midichlorian Count already after the fire incident happened and she left the Jedi Order to become a Mech-Mech because she didn’t find herself fit into the Jedi Order. (You also have to remember that George Lucas was almost going to retcon that Anakin as a true Chosen One was turned out to be Leia all along before he sold LucasFilms to Disney for keeping the LucasFilms active)

I personally don't think how Osha and May were made has anything to do with how Anakin was made. Ya, there are some stories that have since been decanonized that suggest that Darth Plagus had something to do with Anakin's conception, but we don't truly know how Anakin came to be. The reason some of the Jedi believed Anakin was the chosen one was because they believed that who was created by the will of the force itself and not the some force ritual that a force user performed and I personally think that makes the most sence, given that Sidius, Darth Plagus' apprentice, was completely unaware of Anakin's existence only becoming interested in Anakin due to his emence potential in the force.

The chosen one prophecy and immaculate conception are the most inconsequential plot points of the prequels anyways.

Why people forget about the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? Darth Plagueis was so wise and so powerful he could create a life but he never successfully did it and Force itself created Anakin to destroy him anyway. What makes Anakin Skywalker special isn't specifically fatherless birth in a womb but Force itself doing it personally alongside that and highest midichlorians of anyone. The twin sisters on the other hand are created by the will of witches, witches who are known from teleporting, being invisible, killing across Galaxy from their home. To create fatherless life in a womb is like another crazy technique in their arsenal. But stil, we don't know full story yet, like there supposed to be Jedi civil duel/battle.

Anakin was miraculously conceived by The Force itself. Osha and Mae were deliberately created by Witches. Let's also keep in mind that The Twins are relatively normal in terms of "Power". Anakin is still The Chosen One, and outclasses many Force Users in the Past and Future.

Anakin was special for things he did. The way he was born just fits in some jedi prophecy which might have been misinterpreted as Yoda said. Disney canon didn't give us explanation for Anakin's true origin but twins are very much product of dark side ritual, magic or alchemy. Chosen one or not this doesnt take anything from Anakin Skywalker.

As I understand it there were deleted scenes in Ep 3 that showed he was created via Sheev. Fans need to chill. This actually builds on the idea of the force creating life. It’s additive, not subtractive.

I think the fact that there were more children like Anakin, and then the rarity disappeared makes Anakin's story even more special, like he is the the last and most strongest force child.

Creating life, using advance technology, is common in Star Wars. Millions of clones had no Mother. Creating life, using the force or otherwise, may not be common, but it does happen in Star Wars.

I think the problem isn’t simply that this nerfs Anakin. Rather it makes this manifestation via the force seem trivial which undervalues the magnitude of Anakin’s manifestation. As others have noted, if a coven of witches can do that, then why couldn’t Palpatine do it instead of relying on the clone wars? Or Plagueis? Or the Kaminoans?

The weird thing is that it’s never explicitly stated that Anakin is only virgance of the Force. Qui-gon mentions it when he’s talking to Obi-Wan like there’s been a precedent for this type of phenomena before Anakin, but it was just extremely, extremely rare.

Nah, Anakin is the chosen one, nothing changes that. Like in TPM, they took blood samples of the twins but they never revealed the midichlorian count. For now, I think Anakin is safe, it’s really just implied the witches used some form of witchcraft to bring the twins to life, but if they later reveal the midichlorian count to be at least as high as Yoda, then they messed up. I’m praying to God that the twins have a normal midichlorian count

Look at other aspects that made him special” Plus I could see the sith learning this ability from the witches and later using it to create Anakin in the new canon. Honestly I was trying to enjoy the acolyte with an open mind but when episode 3 came out these were exactly my thoughts, it seems to completely destroy Anakin's uniqueness to making him the chosen one. Ever since the sequels, they nerfed Anakin for being the chosen one. I will always be a Star Wars fan but you can't beat the original saga.

Yes I don't like this but the series isn't done yet so this could have a twist to it so keeping my judgement.
