It’s time to take care of yourself darling. I say this with all the love in the world. I tend to do the same thing… take care of others and not focus on myself care. One thing at a time though, sweetie. One day at a time… One minutes at a time… One second at a time! We love and support you on this journey!

So sorry to hear the news but at least a diagnosis means that you can now be treated. Toni can offer some empathy and takes alendronic acid which works for her. She's still very active so don't be disheartened. "Age cannot wither nor custom stale your infinite variety". She has me, you have David so no reason to stop dreaming and enjoying life to the fullest. ❤️❤️

Awww thank you both so much! That has brightened my day and it’s always good to hear that others are doing well. Once I’ve healed from these fractures I’m sure I’ll be fine in a years time! This year will just have to be a year of more relaxation and less hard work! Thank you so much my lovely friends 🥰♥️🙏🏼🤗💋

You are just precious. So sorry to hear about this osteoporosis and the fractures. Follow medical orders, take care of yourself, nurture and heal. I understand completely, having just had a hip flexor problem that has kept me down for the last 2 weeks and it is just not fun to not wince in pain, or feel crackly or not as young as we used to! And you have more fractures to deal with and I am not comparing. Just be calm, good thoughts, probably physical therapy and hope you won't need surgery. But if you do, that's ok too. Look into "prolea". It is an every 6 month injection for osteoporosis. As opposed to weekly meds. xo

Ciao Marisa, well what a shock for you and David, and for us watching, so out of the blue. I really felt for you. Like you say, knowing now , explains a lot for you and going forward, you can start to heal and get stronger ang get in the system for regular checks. Take extra good care now and pace yourselves. Rome wasn't built in a day, you have a lot going on, and we all support you. Videos are the least of your worries. We will still be here. Oh Marisa, so sorry to hear what you're going through. What a shock for you to get such news. Do hope that knowing what you have will mean you can get good treatment to help halt it in its tracks or, at very least, alleviate the pain. You poor love. Pleased to hear that your Mum is making good progress. It was a shock Sue… not what I expected at all but it explains so much, so I’m grateful to know. I’m confident that the treatment will help over time but I must heal first and take things slowly. Thank you so much Cheri! Yes you can be fit and healthy and still be afflicted. My aunt was a yoga teacher for over 40 years and was diagnosed in her 30s. She lived into her 80s still doing yoga. I’m sure once I’m over the initial fractures and healing, I will start to rebuild my strength again. Thank you so much from mum and I 🥰💖🙏🏼🤗

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I have been following you since you began your journey. I do hope you get the right treatment and can move forward. We, as daughters looking after elderly parents, often neglect our own health and “battle on”. Take time for you and I’m sure Italy has some healing powers! I hope you can get the pain under control and get back to your beloved Tuscany. I am living through you guys , as we love Italy - particularly Tuscany, having visited 5 times. Gosh maybe it’s a NSW thing but In Queensland we have to (by law) have a bone density test every year (paid by the government). Luckily I have no problems but most of my friends get 6 monthly injections of Prolia - is that what they’ve put you on? I remember taking my mum in for hers while I was caring for her. They do it in Queensland to take stress of the medical system. ❤

Yes QLD has always been blessed with more funds to spend on these things than NSW so we pay ourselves until 70. The injections aren’t free either as far as I know. I’m sure I’ll find a way to take care of myself now and am just glad to know what was wrong with me. Thank you so much my lovely friend 🥰💖🙏🏼💋🤗
