I seriously hope they realize we want more Korra prequels. I want to see young police officer Toph in action. What happened to Sokka?

Yeah, seems like there wasn’t much point to this. I kinda want them to go back to the graphic novel trilogies ASAP but I feel like they’re gonna continue with these one shots for a good while (though I think they are doing a new Korra trilogy so maybe they could go back to them for ATLA relatively soon). The Toph’s Metalbebding Academy one doesn’t sound like it’s gonna have much happening either.

I'd rather like them to make comics filling in the gap between ATLA and TLOK like what happened to sokka and suki? How toph went from being a rebel to becoming a cop? Zuko and mai getting back together? How zuko delt with becoming a dad after his father was rubbish? I. NEED. ANSWERS.

I read it offcourse because am obsessed with ATLA but tbh you are right it wasn't necessary. The thing is what I don't understand is that katara can be tough when she needs to be it's ok if her teaching style was different than toph. Tbh my highlight was when Aang was talking to the fire nation soldier and showed us how brainwashed are they and how they believe their war was justified.

@@sadiyaalom729 but in ruins of the empire, I didn’t understand what was the issue team avatar had against commander guan running for governor (before he even got to the brainwashing part). And why was the brainwashing even necessary, if he ran a legit campaign he could’ve won

@@chiefcleve1834 Because Guan refused to surrender the empire army that was once led by Kurvira that was used to conquer earth kingdom and they just figured that's not ok because they were still a treat to the republic city. And secondly he needed brainwashing because he wasn't from that town and empire wasn't really loved in colonies since they were throwing out everyone who wasn't an earthbender and throwing everyone who didn't agree with them into reeducation camps plus he was running against the one and only hero of the earth kingdom TOPH.

@@lm4218 no I’m talking about before toph even got into it. Remember toph wasn’t originally running in the election when he was there, It was after he put his application in when korra and wu went to get toph. And as to the army, they weren’t necessarily the empire army anymore. Remember in the comic when he handed in his papers he was like “you misunderstand. I didn’t come to stop the democratic process, I came to take part in it......kuvira is right. The earth empire has no real power” and that was all before toph even got into it. So I’m not seeing how the army would still be a threat if he was taking part in the democracy rather than fighting against it

@@chiefcleve1834 Ok true he had a legitimate right to participate in election but still he was Kurviras' commander, who believed in her cause which was to take over the earth kingdom and throw out everyone who didn't 'belong' there or 'reeducate everyone who didn't believe in their cause but he couldn't do it with military power anymore so he tried to do it through election process where he knew republic city couldn't say 'no, you can't run for governor'. So to counter that they picked Toph to run. As for army they were clearly general Guans' supporters who had same or similar goals as Kurviras' empire so they aren't Empire army but they are not very different. Uniting Earth kingdom wasn't a bad cause in it self but throwing out every non earth bender out was just bad execution. If i remember correctly he led one of Kurviras' reeducation camps so he was know as a bad guy. But i get what you're saying if he wasn't a known bad guy they wouldn't have had anything against him running for governor.

Oh great, the writers are releasing pathetic side-stories to waste everyone’s time. WTF thinks this is a good idea to make B.S. filler story to milk the series like its the Pokemon Anime. Damn.
