Absolutely - just reading these words would be helpful, but nowhere near as powerful as hearing the intensity of this voice and seeing his expressions.
this is so true. you know what being real and true is by just looking at it. the courage to do that is just the toughest thing there is. and we can see it. there's no faking that.
i listened every david goggins podcast, interview and now i just got done with his book. This is so life changing for me, he gave me a new outlook in life. i just started to run 3 miles and lift weights everyday. i know its nothing compared to him but its a start
Only found out about David Goggins a few days ago, read his book and started taking action. Thank you David you have inspired a 58 year old feeling sorry for herself to get the f**k up and start moving. its 9am and already have done 2 runs in the rain. Every time negative thoughts creep in I do 10 push ups or burpees. Thank you.
@@InnaVitamina777 Well if this helps once you are 2-3 weeks into weightlifting (or maybe running for you) you’ll get your first feedback. THEN make the commitment to continue. The cool part is by then you’ll look forward to your workouts, be desperate to get there if you miss one, and wonder why you ever lived your old unhealthy lifestyle. Then you’ll start thinking of possibilities of how could be living your life and you will start to work on your social skills. Goggins lived that way for so long he took on progressively better challenges. Don’t try to bench 225 your first day just because you’re trying harder than humanly possible. Everyone builds up to it

"Life is one big psychological warfare." 6. "Not to survive, surviving is weak. To thrive." 7. "I'm not best at anything, I'm not gifted. I'm just driven." 8. "It's so easy to be great nowadays, because everybody else is weak". 9. "Pain first..... Peace later". 10. "Do something that sucks everyday, that's how you grow".
What the hell. This guy is incredible. He was so trapped in himself, didn’t play the blame game and broke out of his reality and never looked backed, never settled and found his spirit in discomfort. So inspiring. Go Goggins 👍👍👍
Right! Jordan Peterson talks about Jung's concept of developing your Shadow. Not the same darkness Goggins is talking about, but still important. Here's the clip ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ictUbyRBW6Y.html

I get this! My husband's last advice before he passed was "Babe, I don't care what anyone tells you, in the end, when it really counts, you will always be alone. You have to be strong and do for yourself." My husband had this same philosophy, Always be your best, always show up, Never quit. I'm happy to see David's birthday is the same as mine, just years apart. :)
That’s what the deluded identity warriors need to hear. Black community, trans community, feminism, the Intersectionality scam - all of that is bullshit. When it really counts, you will always be alone.
Tom might be the most respectful host of any talk show. Full attention and spot light is on GUEST. You see Goggins at one point even smirk as Tom is effortlessly reciting David’s book. Two extremely cool dudes.
Agreed - It's great to see an interviewer who has the intelligence and humility to sit back and really get the best out of the guest instead of interrupting and taking the spotlight. Thanks Tom.
Glad that he seems to flow so well with Goggins. Goggins can spot when these trendy "motivational" speakers are being fake, but Tom seems to really get what Goggins is saying for the most part. And he admits when he's not living up to those principles that Goggins talks about.
Earth, Wind and Fire taught the same thing decades ago with beautiful Lyrical brilliance for those for whom the message was meant. In addition, it is a fact that the exact same core message of taking dominion of your own thoughts you just heard from David, was being taught to children age 8 in the Mystery Schools of my Ancestor's Ancient Kemet, thousands of years ago. Ancient Kemet was renamed to Egypt. But, there is nothing "ancient" about Egypt. Egypt, is relatively young compared to Kemet and its Golden Age. There is nothing knew under the sun. Or, said more exactly, there is nothing new under Ra. What's Old is what's New, yet again. The old paradigm was better for individual character and that character was rooted in communal progress. Thus, my Ancestors were able to create the first Great Modern Civilization on earth and by doing so, they paved the way for all other Modern Civilizations that followed - including this current Western Paradigm and its Modern Infrastructure. There is absolutely nothing new under Ra. Ra, was the Sun, before the Sun became the Sun in this current paradigm.

I am 45 now, started listening to DG few weeks ago and for the first time in my life I managed to run 11.8km at once. Thank you DG.

That’s amazing ! I have the same some mental disadvantage with running ! There are older and much bigger people than me running marathons ! What’s that all about ? I’m following this guy ! Mind matters!!!
David, you gave me the secret of life though. I drove 100miles yesterday and went to woods, did hike for 4 hours, cooked and came back. Trust me it was the best feeling I had after almost a decade. Thanks brother
Learning not to put extraordinary people on a pedestal is SO IMPORTANT. Owning you’re own securities will free you. This video is so powerful! Thank you guys for doing this
Clicked like even before watching. Brought 'Can't Hurt Me' without even opening the kindle preview. Finished the book already. David Goggins is always worth it.

when will this man get the public attention he deserves? everyone needs to know they can do this, he inspires me no matter how much suffering I endure, I MUST overcome it!
This was a really dope session. Goggins is the real deal. When my alarm rings at 5:30am every day, I can hear his voice saying "embrace the suck" as I begrudgingly leap out of bed, LOL. Well done gentlemen!

I don't usually comment on youtube videos, or anywhere for that matter, but my god... I gotta show respect and admiration for this man. Thank you for these words mr. Goggins, they mean a lot. God bless you and continue doing your thing
The most ironic thing with Goggjns is he did much of this work because he 'knew' he wasn't smart, yet he did the smartest things ever to fix himself in so many ways. Absolute dude, love him.
When you come home after what feels like the longest day at work, because you felt so stupid not being able to answer simple questions your boss has asked on the spot (I just have massive anxiety in that kind of situations) and end up crying for the last 10 minutes of the video, because it hits home so hard. One day I'll come back to this comment, and will be reading it from the other side of that anxiety. Everyone has their insecurities just some people can hide it better than others and judge everyone else
Tom Bilyeu needs credit for being a stand up guy when doing an interview. David Goggins can hold himself no problem, but Tom's humble presence and intelligence was such a great guidance to both goggins and the audience. cudos
Stoicism started from Zeno of Cyprus who lived in the Greek world but was a Phoenician. He learned in Athens by the Cynics and the new philosophy spread throughout the Greek and Roman world.
Great interviewer. He did a terrific job talking with David. Very well done and great questions. He did not talk about himself and asked questions that everyone wants to here. This man deserves a serious raise.
Just went to order his book on Amazon...it's out of stock. Congrats Mr. Goggins...you went from the dumbest man in school to a best selling author. God is good.
@@gdredd9587 God is many things to many people. To you, God is an imaginary credit robbing being. I can't argue against that. To me, God is the power in my life that makes the impossible reality.

I cried from beginning to end! It is a humbling experience and privelage to listen to this interview. So many defining moments ..oh my goodness. This has define my day..my life.. as always Tom you bring the best of the best
Managing resources and making good returns is not as easy as it seems, there are a lot of things that aren't well taught in schools. The market crisis gave me my first returns, when people stayed away from hard times I made the most of it..many credits goes to Sir Trevor James Beckerman
This is superb information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this? Do you trade on your own?
Ever since I started working with Trevor James Beckerman I have been monitoring my portfolio performance which is improving from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market. I must say it's the boldest decision I've taken in my life
Thats the line that hits me hard !! I have / had similar to Goggins story.. Another unknown guy here !! I feel so connected to his story, about how nobody comes when you are down.. and when you overcome that shit, man the feeling of accomplishment and I dont give a shit to the world is soo true... coz something I feel now I can over come any misery !! Guy did great to represent minority of us going through hell and coming out clean !!
Thanks to him I pushed my self to the limits! From one mile everyday day I started going up 5 Miles then I went 8 miles to 35 miles every week. Thank you
It's funny...my boyfriend actually told me "what would Goggins do?" when I was feeling so discouraged and about to give up. I didn't tell him that it kinda made me smile because he knows I have great respect for David Goggins.
Tom, I want to thank you very much for introducing me to the first time I heard of David Goggins on your channel, on the interview last year. He’s changed my life. I’m a 35 yr old black female from Louisiana and I can relate to his mental barriers that he overcame through other’s opinions and approval. He gave me the courage and inspiration to turn the decades of a defeated mindset into one of unlimited possibilities. I wasn’t a self motivated person until I became accountable and defeated the victim mentality. I’ve turned over a new leaf, he’s real life Superman, and every time I get the chance, I let everyone know it 🗣🧠💪🏾
I started taking this treatment/ medicine that has given me the worst spasms and heaviness in my lower back, and I crawled into my bed all weekend. I decided to go out for a walk to the top of the disproving hill while listening to this, I made many stops but right now I'm on top of it thanks to your words. In tremendous pain but did it.
" Beyond the suffering is a world few have ever even seen--- the world is in your mind " Goggins on Zen enlightenment , he does not call it that, a true sage does not even know he is sage
Mindblowing interview. In a world where you get used to passively watching interviews in the background I can truly say I stopped what I was doing and locked in to every word. Keep doing what you do Tom!
When Goggins talks about 'good feelings' and how people want to have them, it feels like he is the one who wants, but knows deeply inside that he choose to sacrifice it in order to be who he is today.
I'm a 20 year retired vet, I was damn near at my end. My wife bought me, Cant Hurt Me, Goggins methods has kicked my sorry a$$ out of the death spiral I was in.
Here in Brazil (the country, not the city in USA), most of people know and are declared fan of David Goggins, even our new president shared, on his RU-vid channel, the first interview of David in your talkshow. He's a truly inspiration and I am pretty sure that God sent him to this planet to help us believe in ourselves!
I'm reading the book, and it resonates with me so much. The part where he said he would never let his father know that it hurt him when he was beating him. When he would stand up for his mother, knowing he was going to get beat.....tears run down my face thinking about how I used to feel as a kid. But I can't stay in that....all my life I've felt like I didn't deserve greatness because of what I came from.....but he has inspired me to do the best I can ever possibly think of doing....everyday.
@READY4 ANYTHING yes he was offered 300k for his book but denied cause he said the contents of his book are one of the most important things for him cause its his life inside those pages and thats not for sale .... just watch joe rogan podcast with david he explains it all ....
Anyone who makes stupid jokes about Mr David Goggins, please stop, do yourself a favour and go re- evaluate your state of mind. Go and see a reflection of yourself and change what you don't like about yourself, because hating on people who do something you wanna do, doesn't help
After watching the first one I created David Goggins in my mind. I spent an hour and a half destroying myself in this alter ego. After, I felt so mad about how I’d made excuses throughout my life and just sat there realizing that I’ve been soo weak cause I didn’t wanna take responsibility.
David. I'm a boy from Spain. I doubt myself everyday. I'm very scared of most things. My mind is ultra uncomfortable. Everyday I wish I was stronger mentally. I put this here so everyone knows my shit. If you share it give a like. THIS GUY IS WHO I LOOK UP TO
Such powerful conversation, here's what I learned: 1. Create a persona that would address your weaknesses, and also push yourself to surpass it's limit 2. Your darkness is your biggest drive to find the light. Find your drive in your own insecurities 3. Strategize how to improve yourself, cut big chunks into smaller pieces , and don't stop grinding 4. Getting to retire early feels good, but that's a bad mentality, because you are a living example 5. Imagine after you die, you would be shown the chart of "how ur life supposed to be". Now, surpass that chart's expectation!
21 years oldnow. I was in the best shape of my life at 16 sophomore year, until my coaches told me I "was not as talented" as the other players. Them saying this to me absolutely ruined my confidence. My mental health spiraled into a depression. Withdrew from people at school. Tried out at track and everything seemed to be looking up. I was one of the faster runners on the team considering it was my first time. Then, at school what I thought at the time was joking around with someone, she took it as a threat even though I didn't mean to threaten her. This put me in juvie. And i lost all my athletic progress that I worked hard to make. Graduating HS in 2020 didn't help matters either since i couldnt get my record expunged. Now Im 21 working in construction, getting tired of being mediocre. I am now working on doing what my older brother wished he could have done: Join the Marines. Wish me luck.
@@estes504 Thanks man. I've had quite a few people in my new HS jr thru sr year tell me that I could be in the Marines. I was just more worried about school and getting my record expunged at that time.
hope you're doing well and still going after it! dont allow others to determine your value, fuck those coaches keep pushing and believe in your greateness
Duuuuude! That dark room concept is soooooo damn powerful it gave me chills watching! Most people r so afraid of looking at their true self they run from that truth, n spend their entire lives believing a false image of themselves that is a more pleasant n comfortable lie to live with.
I am in tears watching this. Tears of hope not sadness. And anger at myself. I am going to use this to make myself better. And not be my own worst enemy.
"ACCEPT WHAT YOU'RE NOT, FACE IT AND FIX IT" This man is so real, so deep, He is a genius... "Don't juge a book by its cover" you have to be open minded to understand him and "read between the line"... I love his honesty! Hard to find people like him in this world. Thank you God bless you!🙏🏽
When I think against myself and on the cusp of depression I remind myself, I am in control of my thoughts, I am in control of how I react to all physical interactions. Focus on what you need to do, what you know about what your doing, how to do it and apply myself with confidence and focus.
I dont think about useless worries or possibilities that take me to a petrified mind. I do think about the multiple possibilities of my actions and when its negative I try to interact differently until I see positive feedback in the possibilities.
Also I keep in mind the effects my decisions have on my goals and dreams, is this decision on track with my final goal or does it derail me. Try to remind and remember
i do not care if this comment is never seen. david goggins, you've started me down a path ill never stray from or forget about. the world may never see my face but the gods will know im going to be living in suffering for years, until i hit and pass my goals. thank you.
Goggins turned up on my Twitter page like a week ago. I did not know who he was, but since that day ive been watching videos with him 24/7 i can´t get him out of my head now. Sutch a brilliant human. Thank you for inspiration that will last a lifetime. This is Awesome. Stay hard.

Wow. His answer to how we start addressing our shortcomings was so eye opening. Hearing his story about having to write out the diving manual made me cry because it made me think of all the times I’ve disadvantaged myself by not putting in the effort I needed to to learn and improve. For all the times I’ve let pride and a fear of being ‘too slow’ stop me from really trying. Thanks so much for having Goggins on again guys. It’s given me one of the many wake up calls I needed!!!! X
I've literally started working out, getting ready for interviews and stared my 6th journal (I used to be an avid writer ever since I was a kid, until I let life take away that part of me). It's only been two days since I discovered David's videos and I'm determined to not let it be "just a phase". I've decided to stop pitying myself and start pushing myself. Wish me luck. 😓🤞🏽
