😂. Sadly I view humans as animals and nothing more. I don't mean animals in a bad way. I mean that our consciousness is a biological fluke of evolution. I do believe there is some form of higher order but we probably won't ever know what that is. The meaning of life is to exist together and help everyone else not totally hate their lives. Unfortunately it seems kids born today will likely have some very serious ecological issues to deal with and many will parish due to the drastic climate changes yet to come. 😔

The true H design that's all square as you describe is going to fly fine but in a crash it won't hold up so well. The arm joint is 90deg and takes all the force of impact in the joint

I've never ever liked t mount. I developed the 2mm press fit shaft and prop because of it. The coming motor line up at fpvcycle will be 2mm pressfit and then it's going to jump to a new shaft style that's only 0.2g heavier than T mount.

5" quads benefit from moving up to an XT90 as well. Particularly racers.

which cable? The power cable? See if you can solder it back on if it did. It's not uncommon to tie down the power lead wire so this doesn't happen from crashes and such.

I think this quad is a good cost effective option. The frame will absolutely hold up to whatever you through at it. The worst that could happen is breaking a motor here or there or really worst case, burn out the AIO board. Both are going to be pretty cheap and easy to replace for even a super beginner. Like I said in the video, emax really knocked it out of the park with this one finally. It's solid.

For 4", minimum motor size know is 1303. Maximum motor performance within reason is about 2203. The control performance platau starts around 1404 and tapers off by 2004. This is for open prop typical builds.

Yeah when it's restrictive it turns current into heat. Having better conductivity makes everything work easier and better.

This is always a question mark. Still to this day it's a mixed up wiring scheme. Some you do some you don't. You're supposed to cross them from rx to FC but you don't know till you try. If it doesn't work, solder them the other way

The control improvement just begins to increase faster at the 1404 mark and begins taper off at the 2004 size. If you're going to be running small 1404 motors on 4", you're not going to have great performance. Sure it'll work but control will be limited and speed won't be that quick albeit I don't think the lack of speed is a big deal. This is a 1404 motor on a 3.5" light blade. It will have better control than 1404 on 4" no matter what 4" prop is put on it. The rest of the quad is a different story but isn't as impactful to the flight performance as the motor and prop size

It works fine. If the motors are weaker, it's way easier to get it to work well

it would add weight I'm trying to keep off if I extended the sandwich into the arm. It would help but not a whole lot because the arms really are super long

@@Kabab gotcha. Yea that makes sense. So the motor to motor brace would be a better option. Can’t wait until you get it finished and out because I want to build a long range with it. I would much rather support someone who has put time and thought into something as opposed to a company that just copied something and threw it together.

I think it's actually pretty excellent but I also think they need to spend more time with people that actually use their products. There are a couple issues with it that don't really make much sense. I also think it might be a touch too expensive for what it is. That being said, it's the closest quality to a gopro I've seen outside gopro

Why you want it decased? 30gram is pretty light, same as SMO but it can take a crash and is water proof. Would be nice if nore brands focused on something similar.

@@le_tranq what if was still as durable and water proof but didn´t had a battery. Just directly connect it to the lipo. Could propably be 15g or less then. That would be absolutley awesome for almost anything starting from light 5" race quads all the way down to Toothpicks and whoops!

The tp3 is quieter, faster and more in control but also smaller and a bit more fragile

@@Kabab thanks, at this point I have had a babyhawk II hd for a couple of months and honestly I can hardly freestyle it, the cg is way off with the vista in the back and the motors are too small. Still a lot of fun for cruising / cinematic though. My 2s 1204 8000kv 3" toothpick absolutely rips and flies way better and just as fast as the babyhawk. Your toothpick formulas are amazing. Can't believe a 3" at 100g auw can fly almost like a 5", in fact better in some ways!

I think you could modify some off the shelf reading glasses to fit into the dji goggles pretty easily.

Dji goggles work fine with glasses, i wear both at the same time

What's odd is that the connector is much more restrictive than even a thin wire

You can go a little smaller with 2.5 inch props and 1204 motors. Pretty decent performance and not horrible flight times.

I'd say yes. This is the smallest package you can go with the vista built in that's worthwhile. You could make a vista fly on even 1.9" but to me, this would be the smallest thing worth flying because it actually flies quite well.

GepRC made the 2.5" Phantom that seems pretty damn good. Course Mr. Purist Kabab lol didn't think that much of it. But, others love it! I think the sweet spot for small and DJi is 3" and the brand new Avant quads Avio is worth looking into. Nick Burns just ordered it for himself, so it's got to have great potential, and he'll do a full review before long, I'm sure.

I built my 2s 3inch with naked vista. 67g dry and 95g auw. It rips and sounds like a Baby-brother-tooth.

It's also possible to get quasi-isotrop CF sheet with layups at every 45degrees. Not sure if its way more expensive or harder to source though

If you look through my old videos I did some interviews with a carbon engineer. They've actually created special carbon that DRASTICALLY outperforms anything else in our industry. It has a special layup as well as specific fibers and resin. It could actually solve this issue completely and the carbon is way stronger too. The issue is that it costs quite a bit more. I'll be testing it nonetheless because it is a very nifty little design that is super clean. Just needs to work 😕. Normally I'd scratch the design and start over but I can't come up with a simpler and nicer design to go with.

@@Kabab if its just the torsion that is the biggest problem it might be worth trying some arms cut with standard (cheap) CF sheet but with the fibres oriented diagonally. Should still perform better than aligned fibres regarding twisting

@@Kabab I mean you can still use 0/90/0 just aligned diagonally rather than along the arm. That way your still using the same carbon as usual but get an increased resistant to torsional loads (at the expense of longitudinal performance).

that's why the title says 'might be really popular' :-D. There isn't anything special about this specifically but it is updated, well speced and performs well. What's special is that there's nothing wrong with it. Sad but that's really it. Now to see whether the market cares or not

@@pablom463 I've been in this hobby and addicted for over 4 years. If I was just starting out, I'd go straight to digital with DJI. Analog is on its way to complete death...probably around 2-3 years from now. People don't understand what happens...manufacturers will see slow sales of analog gear starting soon, and supply and demand dictates that slow sales equals discontinued products because if they can't sell them and make money, they simply won't make them. Plus, they won't want to make small batches because that raises prices and raising prices of slow selling SKU's means even slower selling SKU's! So, although people say analog will be around for a long time, that's simply not the way technology works!! And, you can't stop technology...not unless you find a way for all of the FPV users to all of a sudden find a reason to all buy analog again once digital FPV parts are soon cheaper and the selection is huge. More choices of digital gear will speed things up even faster! It all speeds up even faster once DJI comes out with the long overdue, and over a year ago leaked 20x20mm AIO digital FC. By you know who! Shhhsh! That board IS KEY! Because, the ONLY negative of DJI is that the Vista and air unit weigh so much and are big. Once this new rumored board comes out, THAT ALL ENDS and DJI really, REALLY starts to dominate. *Why they have waited so damn long I think is a huge mistake.* I think it all has to do with the slow economy from the pandemic. They could OWN the market right now and almost no one would even be debating going analog!!! Soon, hopefully by late springtime or early Summer they will release it. But, the cheapest decent analog goggles are $350 and if you're gonna spend that much on the MAIN spendy component of this FPV hobby, you might as well save another $200 and go digital. It's the future. Plus, we can usually sell our gear we don't want any more used. How many people will be chaffing at the bit to buy your used analog goggles 2-3 years from now when EVERYTHING is digital and analog is dead and buried? So, you'll get no resale value either with analog goggles! ;)

It comes with the wires to solder the rx on. It's got clear pads for it

@@stevenfollows1205 I don't remember the board layout but I believe you can run the vista and crossfire at the same time. You only need three wires from the crossfire. Not all 4. Ground, 5v and signal.
