Who would think that a big GLOWING spot would indicate a spot to HIDE from someone? Logically if it's GLOWING that means that enemies would be able to SEE you more easily. That's a poor design choice on the game.

Dan tends to assume a LOT of 3D animation is motion capture but like...someone really needs to tell him that mocap is ridiculously expensive and time-consuming and as a result, it's really, really uncommon. It's /possible/ the makers of this game used animations from a library that itself was motion-captured, but even that doesn't seem especially likely IMO.

The advantage of plastic tree is that you can reuse the same tree every Christmas instead of chopping down new tree every Christmas. Even though it is made of plastic it can be used for years if looked after properly. Unless you have a crazy Bengal cat climbing inside the tree , even worse if it is a Giant Ragdoll Cat.

I am of the opinion that horror games shouldn't be hard. The more you have to retry something the less scary it feels so constantly losing and trying again breaks the tension too much. They shouldn't be completely risk free but it shouldn't be hard to figure out what to do.
