This is honestly the video series I'm most hyped for. I took for granted that I enjoyed these games, but actually reflecting about what you liked and enjoyed in them is really satisfying. And a little extra is getting flashbacks of little great moments of the past, playing with friends and cousins.
To me Ultimate Ninja 3 was my first Naruto game and I still think it has one of the best intros and some of the best ultimate jutsu in the entire franchise
Used to make tournaments for ultimate ninja 3 in middle school . Definitely some great memories 😢 and one hype moment i will never forget . ( hard to explain it )
Bro, i'm hoping he will review Rev.4, it was only in japan, but i've heard that it's the best clash of ninja game, balanced, excelent roster, it has all
I honestly believe Ultimate Ninja 3 deserved an “A” rating. This game is a must have/play for anyone who loves Naruto. The roster is amazing, and ultimates are so cool! Take that and all the single player content you have yourself a must for any Naruto fan.
As far as the substitution being inconsistent, you need to input a certain direction or sub with the left or right shoulder buttons (Gamecube Remote Layout) to in order to pop up in front or behind them.
I remember trying to get all of the characters into the hot springs during the crystal festival mode lol. Ultimate ninja 3 was really god tier fr, that was the first game I played where all 5 Hokage were playable
I literally started to replay this game 2 or 3 days ago. Weird coincidence. This game is what got me into getting all the Naruto games. It's under appreciated since the Storm games came out. This game and the ultimate ninja series on PS2 overall was a precursor to ideas used in storm 1 like the free roam as you said and cinematic jutsus. Please play Ultimate Ninja 4! I want to see your thoughts on the open world original story they included in there. There's also ultimate ninja 5, which released so near the end of the PS2 era it didn't come out in America. Only Japan and Pal regions. 4 and 5 cover the early parts of Shippuden.
When Narutimate Hero 3 and Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 came out in the holiday season of 2005 in Japan, I bought both games. Definitely did not disappoint. NH3 is were the series really started to expand on the battle system and expand on the mechanics from the prior entries. The story mode although abridged was very good with lots of awesome cutscenes. The adventure mode where you collect crystals was really fun with what you can do like with minigames and the like. NH3 is one the best entries in the Narutimate/Ultimate Ninja series. Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 was a huge improvement from GNT3. Battle system was further improved with the inclusion of Y-cancelling, which allowed characters to do combos that where not possible before. Definitely one of the best entries.
Reaaaaaaallly excited to see him rank GNT on this show. I've only heard good things about it so I'm interested to see what a more skeptical reviewer has to say
Always liked the clash of ninja games best. They had the closest thing to what I prefer for fighting games: simple but deep. My favorite was Shikimaru and the way you could set up his thinking stance and then had branching options from there that experienced players could anticipate but newbes would get shredded by.
Ultimate Ninja 3 was my childhood game, I even bought and replayed it recently and while the combat is definitely not that great, it's that kind of weird balance of just janky enough that I can't help but love it. I especially love the trap-based playstyle they gave Shikamaru, it really made me feel like I was playing my favorite Naruto character So glad to see the game high in the ranking, I'd love to see the game get some kind of niche one-time tournament someday
@@jetherfirstruiz8307 I just looked up the scene for this, that's amazing that there's still people playing this, I've never actually played Accel Shippuden 2 but I might give it a try now 🤔
There's a 20 minute OVA for ultimate ninja 3 story, all the hidden crystals you find in the story you can see who lost them in that anime, they also point out these location in that anime for players to find them.
Ultimate ninja 5 is one of the best Naruto games, I wanted that game since I was a kid but it was only available in EU and JP but I bought a Japanese ps2 and got it along with battle stadium don and I occasionally still play those games throughout the year
I had that game dude and it ceratinly is better than ultimate ninja 4 and the previous games the gameplay mechanics sound story were all amazing tho i had the japnese version of the game cuz I couldnt read shit
Ultimate Ninja 3 was a huge part of my childhood as well! My brother got the first one and it was ok. Then a few years later he bought the Japanese version and he ended up getting all the characters and we played the hell out of it! Good times!
My first naruto game was the broken bond, it explained the whole plot for me and I managed to understand it as a kid, pretty jank at times but pretty awesome.
Childhood Nostalgia: “Man, Ultimate Ninja 3 and Clash of Ninja Revolution were awesome games!” Globku: “These games are so flawed it’s hilariously bad.” Childhood Nostalgia: 😧😔
Yea, Ultinate ninja 3 is nowhere as flawed as he makes it out to be. I've seen some INSANE tournament matches with this game and Narutimate Accel. Everybody at first blush seem to misunderstand the mechanics and assume it's mostly a spam game when, while it might be broken in some areas, it's deeper than that. It's basically the MvC2 of Naruto games.
Yeah.. he says it's mashy, lol. Clearly doesn't know how to play it on a competent level. You can mash on most fighter games, but someone who knows how to play would easily punish you. Same applies for narutimate hero 3.
When you get to Naruto: The Broken Bond, hopefully you'll think it's a good Naruto game. It's my favourite anyways and Ultimate Ninja Storm games come second.
Clash of ninja was certainly real jank but I think it's still an incredible first fighting game to get into the genre, it's very accessable but still focuses on the fundamentals of a game fighting game while giving even the newest players easy access to the cool, deep moves that they picked their character for.
Hoenslty naruto ultimate ninja 3 is my fav naruto game up to this point since then. Love everything about it including combat and all the items you could pick up during battle made it so unique. If any naruto game I wanted remade or remastered, it would be this one for me
at long last we gonna talk about two games i been waiting for. but Ultimate Ninja 5 and the last Clash of Ninja game with sage mode naruto thats japan only are the ones i really wanna hear his thoughts on
Did u play Narutimate Accel Shippuden 2 guys? Theres a lot of active players and have tournaments, only CC2 and bandai is just blind how na2 was the balance and competitive ,rather than storm series.
Look for Naruto Clash of Ninja 4, for the gamecube (jap only) it's the best one Imo. It has 3v3 versus-ist mode, you can do rapid cancels to extend combos and it has more characters than Revolution
Ultimate Ninja is the one and only cause it has freaking drunk fist Lee mode. The animation of his is sick and you can actually feel the craziness Kimimaro felt during the fight with him
This one. This is the game that made me give a shit about Naruto, my cousin and I would play this quite a bit when it came out, and Rock Lee and Guys tag-in/tag-out will forever be in my mind.
Fun fact, if you didn't know, this marks the point in Clash of Ninja were the Japanese and International versions differ. Clash of Ninja Revolution was essentially an advanced port of Naruto: Gekitō Ninja Taisen! 3 (Clash of Ninja 3) for the Gamecube, using the engine from Naruto Shippūden: Gekitō Ninja Taisen! EX for the Wii
It’s so strange seeing Clash of Ninja Revolution for myself. It’s like a modified slightly stripped down Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 (clash of ninja 3 never made it to the west). Clash 3 was my first Naruto game because it wasn’t really out in the west or at least was just coming out, and my friends only had the first one which of course, when I showed them the third one, their minds were blown, and spoiled, and then came to me asking why there was no Clash of Ninja 3 in the west. (Heck i didn’t know there was Clash 4 till later)
Hopefully you’ll be including one particular game in the clash of ninja series that it’s only been release in japan. Which it really express the clash of ninja series at its full potential.
The dream Naruto game has been brewing for more than 10 years. I haven't been thinking about a Dragon Ball game for 10 years. These things don't just happen
@@honestlyidk6252 do a dragonball game (all budokai, tenkaichi, raging blast) for him is not a happy thing, and to be honest, most of them aged pretty bad. i still love tenkaichi 3 as an arena fighter, but if you would a good dragonball fighting game, there are already fighterz (even if some of people not like it), the fan game hyper dragonball z, pretty good, and the original hyper dimension for snes
Ultimate ninja 3 had jutsu clashes, jutsu editing and the GREEN BEAST, SSS tier game. Also check out tanzaku town outskirts from the ost that song was lit. As for ninja revolution they took out the song roof castle and replaced it, game was dead to me after that
The most annoying thing that Tomy did around the Wii era of the clash of Ninja games, were removing characters or entire sequels in order to not spoil us at the time. While The Japanese version (gekitou ninja taisen) *had everything* 😭
Revolution also introduced combo canceling and kunai deflecting to the american games. Definitely something you should check out in revolution 2 and 3.
About Ultimate Ninja 3 being the first to let you choose between Japanese and English voices in the West, that's true but only the NTSC versions of 1 and 2 had mandatory English voices. The PAL versions of 1 and 2 always gave you the option
Gloku i swear i have been dying for a remake of naruto accel 4 or 5 all i take them all think thats the best naruto ever easy.. Specials are just as good and some are better ultimates everyone has a minimum of 2 or 3 hope they remaster
Glad to see the shipping is free. Now I wont have to pay a lot of shipping to get it to Portugal haha :) This game brings back some good memories. Loved to play this at birthday partys with my friends, Choji was the best
I found myself thinking the same thing until I found out that there actually were more than just Uzumaki Chronicles 1 and 2, but they were released on the PSP and they were way worse, in my opinion.
@Chris that makes sense and I had no idea there were actually more than just those two. I just feel like if they made another, it would bring about a turning point for anime games.
I still prefer Ultimate Ninja 2 to 3 because I hated only having 1 ultimate per battle, but both are good. Also, you'll have to play the Japanese Clash of Ninja 4 because Revolution 2 to me seems inferior.
clash of ninja did techchbically have sequels in japan but i think they were more a sequel to clash of ninja 2 and no clash of nin revolution if that makes sense
I think Ultimate Ninja 2 was the best in the PS2 era because after that the combat started becoming overly long with unbalanced DBZ-like power beams, 9-tails Naruto anyone 2 also felt more tactical without that "volleyball bouncing" shit on the ground.
I think Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 and Gokuto Ninja Taisen 4 should have been compared with Ultimate Ninja 3 as they came out during the same time and were direct competitor to that game. Also my favorite is Revolution 2 but because of game play and roster not story mode which was just okay.
Ultimate ninja 1-3 have to be my favorite, as soon as they added link characters it went downhill in my opinion and the games felt like they became a lot less balanced.
Ultimate ninja 3 is the best. Where else you can teach Naruto to use Chidori and let Sasuke cast Rasengan? Not to mention that both Sasuke and Kakashi basically go Shang Tsung whenever they activate Sharingan.
I played all these games, they were balanced as long as you ignored ults. The ults were broken but aside from that good matches could be had. Also the characters did not all play the same, I dunno. Nostalgia maybe but we had some epic contests in these games. I mean, I didn't know there were infinite combos so maybe we just sucked.
Hey Globku, just letting you know that Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution is not their 3rd game. Their 3rd game would be Naruto Clash of Ninja 3 aka Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 and they also made a 4. Those are jp exclusives.
