Cool Cat is one of my favourites, I love the groovy sound, Freddie's falsetto and super power vibrato is amazing.

John played all instruments here, except electric piano, which was played by Freddie…Freddie also sang the whole song in falsetto..❤Roger & Brian refused to play on this..not their style, I guess❤John &Freddie were great collaborators..LOVE THIS ONE❤Thanks for the great reaction❤

Thanks, kid.. this is, indeed, very unique for Queen -- it was actually done by just Freddie and bassist John Deacon.. Roger and Brian wanted nothing to do with it (lol).. and it's the only song that Freddie sings ENTIRELY in falsetto... you probably love it or hate it... appreciate your reaction!

This is totally a song for putting the moves on lady. I love Queen and never heard this one before! But I like a cool cat and you are one for finding this one ✌🏼 PS you were referring to a falsetto voice.

"Cool Cat" was written by bassist John Deacon and Freddie Mercury. This song is not only a Queen rarity as far as genre is concerned, It’s also one of few in which Freddie Mercury sings entirely in falsetto, and one of few to feature no contributions from either drummer Roger Taylor or guitarist Brian May, both of whom despised the album’s new sound as a whole, with “Cool Cat” being one of the most blatant examples.

I think I just recognized that song from a comercial wirh the girl who bought the Freddy Mercury jacket for school.

The vocal line always reminds me of a saxophone.
