So many hidden gems in the Sephora collection! The 12 hour eyeliners, the blushes and contours, the lippies…their brushes are very high quality too, and at 30% off are a great price for anyone needing new or upgraded brushes.
@kackie you absolutely NEED the Sephora lipliner in Dressed To The 90s. The swatches look very warm toned and are not at all accurate - it’s truly the perfect neutral!
Great video Kackie! I enjoy the depth you go into to compare these products. I will say though, I don’t agree that your low contrast maybe medium but you have quite dark hair and eyes and fairer skin. You may not like a bright lip but I’m sure you could pull it off beautifully!
I also have low contrast coloring so I really enjoy how you discuss colors and swatches. If you haven’t tried the Lorac powder blushes from Ulta, I think you would like them. Most of the colors are really beige based and are so subtle and blendable. They’re some of my favorite powder blushes besides Nars and PM. But, I prefer a look with a subtle blush and more emphasized lip for myself. I’ve also had good luck with the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks (not the bold ones). The mid tones ‘nudes’ are SO flattering and beautiful. They’re listed as nudes but on me are coral and red lol.
Super last min but you are the color theory queen. Between Patrick Ta blush in She's Flushed and She's Blushing... what would work better with light neutral olive undertones?
You are just the best. My tepid take is that I never think the Sephora sale is worth it, and I'd rather have your genius color theory videos to watch. Did I participate in the This/That comments you asked for? Yes. Did i watch the entire video? Again yes. Am I getting something for the Sephora sale? GUILTY (merit single shadows). But I still like to be spicy for no reason.
Congrats on the Sephora sponsorship! For your next this or that I’d love to see a comparison between Chanel water tint, rose inc product that is similar and the new covergirl skin serum that has the same looking serum with drops of pigment format.
Loved this, thank you!!!! So helpful to see the side-by-sides, and your breakdown of the differences. The coral death-match was awesome … I guess options are endless but curious how the Gucci bright coral and apricot match up with them 😆 I love the Gucci bright coral shade for summer
Would love to hear how the Basma stick foundation compares to the three you mention in the beginning as well! Is it more similar to the use case for the Ilia/WA or more like the all-over use of Fenty?
It's ok! Thats what these videos are for is to put this info in one easy to find place. To answer your question, I use it all over. It's really flexible though, you can use it as a concealer too. It's unique because it is so flexible but also if you use it as a foundation you'll go through it pretty fast.
Can you try the Basma blushes that just dropped I saw them and now am torn between other cream blushes and that one since I love the Basma foundation it’s such a great match despite goes quickly when using as all over foundation stick.
Would love to get a quick review - even if on IG - of the new Sephora sheer shine lipsticks that you ordered and colour recommendations (for a skin twin!). Seriously love your channel - never had a recommendation of yours fail me!! Thank you! 😘
Thank you so much for this! I think I will be heading back to color match the fenty stick and the ilia ... I have been wanting to try both and your descriptions have convinced me I need to.
My makeup budget isn’t huge BUT aside from my Thrive mascara, the one thing I need is a good skin tint for summer! (I use the elf hydrating camo concealer and super goop sunscreen).
I got the Nudestix-bronzer and blush in stick and both nice. MILK bronzer still out performs due to better shade. Mario lipstick on the way. Have you reviewed those?
It's just been my birthday too, and I'm looking at a few different shades of the YSL rouge pur couture the bold lipsticks 😍 There are a few that look like they'd suit me. But there is just none in stock in the beauty store in my city. Taking a train ride to a city an hour away to test a lipstick on my hand seems... Extreme.
this is random, but I'm surprised no one's tried to dupe the prism libre blushes yet. I wonder if they have a patent on the component that keeps other companies from using the four-chamber blush idea?
I really do adore these videos! For me, it aides me in being a more conscious consumer. Especially when there are things that my Sephora doesn’t have, like Basma.
I always miss your call to send in comparisons, the only thing I’d really love to find is a dupe in a single or quad for the rose quartz shade in the ABH rose metals palette because that eyeshadow is the eyeshadow of my dreams but it makes no sense for me to buy a whole palette for just one shadow 😅
I bought the gisou watermelon lip oil and I am pleasantly surprised! I did not realize that the packaging is glass and I heard the formula is updated to be thicker than it was (which I love). To me, the watermelon scent is exactly like the watermelon pop rocks. I smell it and the scent association is so strong that I get a phantom pop rocks feeling in my mouth 😂
Random tangent, but for anyone else that is interested I was able to snag a UOMA contour stick in White Pearl at JCPenney, no idea how many are left. I've been sparingly using the double ended one because I couldn't get a backup until now, but it looks like it is actually shipping 😄
Thank you for this video! I had asked on Instagram about the Ciele and Danessa Myricks!!!! Thank you for the information! Today was my first day to shop-and every shade of the Ciele is out of stock. I was SHOCKED. I mean, I shouldn’t be, but good gosh! And the Danessa Myricks-my shade is out of stock. 🤦🏻♀️ Maybe in the fall!!!!! lol
I so wanted peach pomelo but it makes me crazy because the description IS coral lol but its not peachy IMO. Coral leans more pinky red and i wanted more yellow, kinda like rare virtue - love that one. I tried the ysl loveshine and thought they were OK but nothing can beat the candy glaze.
lol yeah I talk about it a lot. Depression is a mean monster. I've always had disordered eating problems but this past year I've lost about 12 pounds and I'm working to get back up to a more normal weight 😵💫
Not trying to be rude but I watch your videos ALL OF THE TIME and I RARELY hear you talk about the Sephora collection and makeup … I’m talking very very rarely . Which isn’t a big deal but it is a big deal when you’re sponsored by them and then say you push Sephora products all of the time . I just don’t get it? I’m All for being sponsored and getting paid but we watch your videos all of the time and know you rarely talk about the Sephora brand .
Basically saying you love Sephora brand products and they’re your favorites. I Never hear you mention Sephora brand products . I just don’t get it. It’s amazing to be sponsored by Sephora but don’t say how in love you are with their actual brand when we never hear you talk about the Sephora brand . We hear about all the other products they carry… which I love. . Let’s just be real .
@@aliciahicks8020it’s funny because I literally think of Kackie when I think of who are the creators I watch who are fans of the Sephora Collection. She did a full dedicated video about sephora collection in the fall. She was just talking about how much she likes the contour and eyeliner in her most recent recommendations video that wasn’t sponsored. Talking about the line during the sale is particularly relevant since there is 30% discount for everyone even if you’re not rouge or vib and it’s also exclusive to Sephora (obviously). Being strategic about what you talk about and when is part of the business in terms of affiliate commissions and also just making relevant content that people will click on. During the sale is the time that people are asking “what’s good in the Sephora collection?”
