I don’t care what your sexuality, gender, or fetishes are. Live, & let live. Just don’t become arrogant, & make the same mistakes that you claim your oppressors have made in the past towards you. The moment you become arrogant, & intolerant is the moment you become the very evil you claim to fight against. At that point, you lose ALL credibility, & paint a target on your back.

@@bryanmiller8604 it’s illegal to “live and let live” as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in at least 67 countries. If queer people are angry and frustrated at the situation they live in and see others living in, it is not the same as what their oppressors do to them. Your comment reads like a weird threat to queer people to be the perfect victims and just continue to endure the hate and violence that they face. The community has no power to do what society does to them, so your comment is completely random and unnecessary. You’re telling LGBTQ+ individuals that they will have a “target on their back” and “lose all their credibility” if they become intolerant? Intolerant of what? Hate and violence? If you don’t care about people’s sexuality or gender, just say nothing instead of commenting vaguely threatening things in order to fear-monger queer people.

@@existentialimp3120 Then, perhaps those are the countries you should be focusing your time, efforts, & resources in to envision the changes you feel are necessary. America has laws on the books to protect people from crimes committed, especially those deemed as “hate crimes.” Far to often though from a historical perspective it seems that the noblest of efforts are corrupted by those who resort to using the exact same tactics of their oppressors to over-compensate in the hand of justice, & equality. My warning was not intended as a threat, but as cautionary advice not to allow yourself, or your cause to be consumed by hatred, & bigotry in the guise of justification, & in vain arrogance to rewrite the wrongs history to suit you comfort zoned, safe spaces. Otherwise, you invalidate yourself, & your cause; becoming the very monster you claim to fight. That’s why I prefer to remain diplomatic, & be if the sentiment of live, & let live, unless there is a clear, & present danger that can not be avoided in any other manner than violence. Once the safety is off, & one goes in hot, you can not undo what has been done. All life is sacred, & should be cherished. Israel is being attacked and the USA is their ally which is why the US and many other countries continue to help them fight their aggressors. The Territory of Palestine is run by a terrorist organization called Hamas, funded by Iran. They attacked Israel and the US has always helped the victims, not the aggressors just like we help Ukraine and just like we helped others. There is a right side of every war and the US has rarely been on the wrong side. It’s like saying “the US didn’t help the Nazis win WWII…” We have considered what is going on in Israel and that is exactly why we worded that section of our video the way we did. Our show and the USA stand with the victims and our allies, not the territory of Palestine that would execute gays the moment they had the chance. Israel is the only country in the Middle East to have pro-LGBTQ laws and allow gay marriage. The Territory of Palestine has laws that say they can execute you for even being suspected of being gay. I see someone’s sex as their anatomical structure, and I see someone’s Gender as what they feel they are. I do not, however, downplay what they feel they are, because that’s their psychological decision of what they are, and taking away someone’s feelings would be like having none of my own feelings. Straight, Gay, WHATEVER, I don’t really care, so you do you and I do I, as I usually say, for my choices are for me and your choices are left out of my reach.

As much as I agree with the majority of what this video wants to show, I cannot say the same for how it was substanciated. A lot of the arguments that were used were not as based on evidence as I would like (ex. The historical figures of America mentioned being homosexual), others were substanciated with some historical sources that I believe may be biased, so a few more articles or (even better) studies by professionals for the subjects of the arguements presented in the video wouldn't do any harm. I also noticed how some arguements were completely based on bias, from what I can see. In short, while I agree with most of the contents of the video, I believe that it wasn't given enough supplementation with reason and credible sources, leading up to not easily convincing anyone who doesn't already lean towards supporting the LGBTQA+ community already.

I was very distressed on all social medias, i dont really have, like, a social life outside of the internet, doing anythung cost tons of money. So the internet and social media were my favorite place to be in. But in pride it was all just so negative, so horrible and terrible. I just wish for people to get along. But a new perspective changed me. It was always the same 5 people, i never saw more, maybe they vary, but it was always consistently just 5 people in those comments. They were the ones fighting and screaming like babies, spouting ignorance and hatred towards everyone, they are not many. They are just the same 5 people. And that made me feel better, also more productive because then i would'nt spend much time in social media.

I haven’t felt safe in the queer community this year because I’m openly Jewish and have heard stories. But I don’t want them also getting hate for loving who they love, being who they are, or not feeling sexual or romantic feelings the way considered “normal”. I went to a Jewish pride event this year and it felt so good to feel safe. May all people who are in the closet or not get some time where they can feel safe and even if they’re not out feel valid.

So not wanting to pass up an opportunity to troll the protesters, we didn’t just walk past them-we _danced_ past them to the music that was playing and pretended to be totally oblivious to the protesters! @@spirals73 the month is in remembrance of the numerous hateful attacks and killings of people for being part of the lgbt+ community, and the subsequent push back by the community through protests and riots. It's a celebration of those people who gave their lives to make it possible for lgbt+ people now to have basic human rights. It's akin to a celebration of veterans, people who gave their life for an ideal. So, are you against veteran month as well? Are you against the celebration of the liberation of people of color in the US, or the remembrance of heroes like MLK? Are you against all of that? If you are not, but still think pride should not exist, then you should probably spend soem time to think about why this celebration specifically makes you angry. I'm a non-binary bisexual living in Russia, celebrating pride online and by hanging out with my bestie, I also wear pins with my flags, good thing that nobody here,at least in my town, knows anything but the rainbow (unless they're queer themselves) so I don't get shamed/bullied or worse for it. There are (almost) no more queer books on the shelfs,I have bought a few before the relativrly recent laws were enforced. And yet "Good omens" is still sailing, perhaps bigots just think the main characters are just "very good friends" lol. I had to order my pins online from another country, btw. The laws so far (cos they can get worse) don't affect me too much,I still can live and have fun as before so the biggest problem for me right now is my father. My mom is relatively phobic too but far less than him and she's far more understanding, getting more accepting of the new things year by year, she's mostly just not informed enough and no used to queerness, she's alright with gays existing but she reeeeeally wants grandkids so when she found out I'm bi she was mad cos she was afraid that she wouldn't get any :p Even though I'm dating an opposite sex person for 4 years now (2 years back then but still). I can see her becoming supportive eventually :) I love her and she supports me in literally everything else, including me being goth with all the heavy make up, she lets me wear whatever (I'm 20) while my father (I'm afab) was yelling at me for wearing a corset even though it was on top of a long sleeve shirt with no cleavage and I had long pants too. He said that I looked very vulgar and he wouldn't let mw go outside,I was 18 back then. He even called my mom expecting her to support him but she didn't even understand what was the issue😂 My father is irredeemable in my eyes cos he's sexist, homophobic and transphobic, hates plenty nationalities, claims he's not racist cos he likes one black and one chinese actors while he still says plenty racist stuff, he hates on all religions that aren't christian and obvi justifies his hatred for the queers with his religion. He always thinks he's right and that he can't possibly make mistakes,he always starts arguments for no reason and overall I only still am attached to the version of him that I knew and loved as a kid, the current him only awakens negative feelings in me. It’s kind of jarring to me that people are this upset about pride month when a few years ago no one I knew even cared I also still think it’s ridiculous that Christians still think being gay means going to hell. I know there where only like 100,000 people back then so reproduction was a serious problem But even being straight back then was considered to be unnatural. Since they thought it was only ok to be like that to reproduce But there’s plenty of straight people that are active in relationships and still have a lot of love to give and people don’t seem too upset about that Then again I tried telling some of my bi and pan friends that “I feel bad since I don’t think there’s a healthy environment for this kind of stuff yet” and some people listening thought I was homophobic or portraying gay people as being violent which also isn’t true so maybe I’m another idiot I feel like people aren’t so much debating about right or wrong anymore, but more so debating on how to make the world more enjoyable. And honestly I quite like that more but it’s a really weird situation to be in since we’re so used to black and white thinking that if we don’t understand or care about something we immediately think it’s a bad thing It’s weird because I feel like I can’t even joke about these things right now because I wouldn’t even know how to go about it As long as no one’s getting hurt I don’t care what you do with your private life

In Russia, boomers are more afraid that LGBTQ+ people will live happily and peacefully than that healthcare is on the verge of extinction. It would be an ideal country for terf, but only then government are talking about banning abortions and already decriminalized domestic violence. In general, I have been watching in complete horror for several years of my growing up as my country turns into a nightmare. The law banning gender transition was passed about two weeks before I turned 18.I was ready to run away from my family, live on the street in order to get the necessary documents in time, but in the end I did'n had any time. I was just sitting, and waiting till i can legally by alcohol. I do not have any resources to move abroad and there is no way to influence what is happening. Now, all I can do is support other queer people around me and not expect the best. There will be no better future for a lot of people, they just won't live enough to see it.

I don't care about them. To hate in such a way means they hate themselves. They are jealous that we are free to love and do so passionately. We are free to throw away their traditions of conformity and express ourselves as humans as humans were meant to be...diverse and unique. Jesus would walk alongside us in Pride because as he said...I give you a new commandment to love one another and by that love you prove your love for me as I have loved you. To them love is sin. To us love is love and nothing is stronger.

I remember in 2019, there was a first Pride march organised in one of the towns in Poland, called Białystok. The people marching there were attacked and chased down by people who just wanted to hurt them, and a lot of arrests were made afterwards, but the event itself shook the entire LGBTQ+ community here in Poland. I immediately thought of it after the intro here.

The reaction of my mom to those was very surprising (I am not out yet) she said if I were to come out as Trans ever she would abandon me although she didn't said anything about lesbian/gay. I am the only child of my parents and I am very close to my mom, she can never live without me but when I heard if I were to come out as Trans she would abandon me broke me into pieces because she might be having Anti-gay views too as here in India, they don't distinguish between Trans and Gays. 💔💔

It’s very very frustrating to me that I cannot afford to properly protest anti-trans laws in my state. I know for a fact I could bring a lot of attention to the bathroom laws if I just went and FOLLOWED them because I would definitely be arrested for that. But besides the fact that I’d very likely be assaulted as well, and who knows the consequences to that til it happens (again), I need to keep my job, I can’t afford a lawyer, I need to make tips as many days a week as possible to pay rent bc it’s too damn high and business is too damn slow (and a lot of people take advantage of servers and don’t pay us properly). This is how they perpetuate this stuff. How many people are in a position to get assaulted and thrown in jail voluntarily and continue their lives just fine?

I understand how you feel. That's why we need to organize and stand up. Maybe there are some things we can't do but there are some things we can do. Spread the word of project 2025 and vote this November. Educate people who don't understand LGBT people but are not hostile. Express yourself and be proud. Visibility is key. The more visible you are the more people see the community and public opinion switches towards LGBT acceptance. Sad that even in this day and age LGBT still have to deal with this but the fight continues.

Even when you can't go by a set of pronouns and a name that is more for *you.* Regardless of the pushback, you will always be a girl unless YOU change your mind and feel another gender identity fits more.

Okay so, I’m only gonna comment on the history part since the rest of the video I don’t have a problem with and agree with. But when it comes to LGBTQ history, especially with trans people, it’s complicated. People like Alexander the Great, Baron Von Steuben, Tchaikovsky, or Elagabalus (that “trans Roman emperor”), could be considered LGBTQ indeed, Alexander could be thought of as either bisexual or pansexual. But when it comes to people such as Elagabalus, it’s a lot more complicated due to the culture he grew up in where it was basically normal for the men to occasionally act like women. However, when it comes to people such as Steuben or Washington, it’s very hard to say since people didn’t really define themselves as our modern term of “gay”. Honestly, I highly doubt that Washington was gay since not only was he married to a woman, but he was also happy in that relationship. As for Steuben, it’s more believable that he was homosexual because he was never married nor really showed any affection towards women, however that can just mean he was asexual or aromantic, not necessarily gay per se Also, that whole “was accepted though-out history part” is not entirely right; because it really depends when and where we’re talking. In say, Ancient Greece, it was accepted by some yes, but not by all. Some city-states did not like gay people while some did. As for Rome, again it depends on the era, like for example, both the Roman and Byzantine empires did not recognize marriage between two males or females, and there were a lot of people in those empires, probably more in the Byzantine empire, who saw being homosexual as a sin. But anyways, good video overall, I just wanted to clear up the history part. And if I got anything wrong I’d be happy to correct myself.

We have videos on Steuben and Washington explaining the evidence including Washington’s love letters. A lot of people in those days had a wife and appeared happy to the outside world but were gay too. Just look at Eleanor Roosevelt. She appeared happy but built a whole second home on their property so she could live with her girlfriend while FDR was at their main residence down the road. Here is one of those videos to help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lFO3F0Wn13s.htmlsi=xw0X7HL59vHJfmE5
