I really wish the free brain rupture proc would only affect elites or specials, too many times i get the proc on a pox walker and then a bulwark comes waddling in
I wish that, too. As it stands, it's a complete waste of a talent point. There is no build that should be running it. It is completely unreliable and contributes almost nothing towards your damage output.
Maybe it changed, it is buged, or the tooltip information is not correct. But currently it works that the 10 second cooldown is separated for every enemy. So only the same enemy cannot be hit multiple times by it. When i am playing that free brain ruputure procs nearly every second, sometimes multiple times at once. So it is more like 10% chance to proc on every enemy, and once proced it doesn't proc for the same enemy again. Usually that anyway only happens for bosses.
I kind of adore the fact you use all classical music so effectively in your build guides. The builds are awesome as well. But yeah the music and your humor earned a sub and the builds earned a like as well.
Ogryn here, great game, great video. I was just checking new video of my favourite darktide youtuber and realised im in it :D good job with all your work, keep it up and see you in future games!
I really love your comprehensive walkthrough of your build and idea behind it. Also your love for the shield, and I really want to try and apply it more than I do (I'm a murder hobo and tend to forget being defensive -_-)
The Catachan sword is handy for this build, as ragers are the only thing that can get up on you quick enough to be any real threat. So the parry makes short work of them.
What I am wondering is: why do you use the bubble shield? For the tgh regen? I find that the square shield saved me and my team so much. When shit get spicy you just close one lane with shield and you have effectively negated trapper, dogs, mutie, flamer, pox burster and all the shooters in that lane. With the 2 charge of the square shield you almost always have a charges even when you don't run warp charges. You just flick your aim and trow a wall in front of a burster and it's dead or in a hord and it give you and your team time to kill the flamer in the back line. It have a learning curve a little. You need to place the shield at the right distance so the flamer still shoot and don't just run tru. Same with the trapper. For bomber you need to space it so it's a little bit farther from you so when the bomb hit the wall the aoe on the ground that pass tru the wall don't reach you.
Biggest problem being getting Surge blessings. Been rolling almost daily for a while now but no luck. This build being kind of pointless when the main component is so hard to get.
I'm not sure if all players roll the same items for their respective classes in Sire Melks but there's a 531 Rating Voidstrike Staff with Surge on it right now. I had about 16 staffs in my inventory, all ready to dissapoint as I would have never gotten that roll. Well, thanks Melk!
good build, am gonna try it 100%. Thanks man ps: shield spam literally clutches games, so dont sleep on it people, when gunners spawn like poxwalker packs its must have!!!
3:18 that was hilarious, mainly because you’re usually so serious. Some videos they make comments like this every 10-15 seconds and it’s irritating. But this one hit just right 😂
At the same time, I think you’ve gotta try out the perk that makes your blitz charge way faster for 10 seconds after dropping a shield (especially since your taking extra talents to have it off cooldown more often). It works so perfectly because often times you’re dropping a shield anyways when you’d want to pop a head, so it’s nice to be able to cast out a couple super fast head pops when you’re shielding if needed. In your purg build I actually dropped the 10% chance to quell with kill and I feel like it was well worth it. I don’t value that quell skill as much as the amount of quelling time it actually saves doesn’t feel as significant as how long it takes me to cast brain rupture without the speed up
Void Bowler was, is, and forever will be my favorite type of build, but this one is a special breed of spicy. My version runs smite for the "ohshitohshitohshitohshit" moment button.
Also, i've always LOVED the force sword, but lately i've been finding that the catachan knife makes me go ridiculously fast. Nice for catching up, and I run it with Haymaker so its good for killing stuff too.
Thanks for addressing the mods. I tried playing with mods once and it just caused the game to crash all the time. I'll have to check out your other video and see a better way to do it.
Deimos force sword is WAY better for tough enemies. The warp attack is AMAZING for getting rid of ogryns and specialists. It does 1000-1500 damage depending on build.
I have dusted off my deimos recently, and I do still really like it. I like how the illsi doesn't get stuck into targets, which gives you a little bit more freedom of movement. Think I might prefer the Deimos a little more at the moment though
Sadly you can get mods on console. The health mod is the only I fell is practically a must the time saving knowing a light or something else can kill in x situation can save your life l. Maybe one day fat shark.
Great build but Warp Charges just feel bad IMO. Want that awesome peril reduction and damage? Well to keep it you can't use your shield... Oh you want to use your shield? No increased damage or peril gen for you... I know you can get them back prety easily but still I hate feeling like I'm nerfing myself no matter what I do.
Kinetic Flayer seems like a complete waste of a node. Its 15s cooldown for 1 strike, meaning you can get max 4 strikes per minute. It looks nice when you kill a Crusher, but vast majority of these will trigger on some trash enemies which you already kill with Voidstike right away, thus being 100% useless. I think just about any other node you ca take is more valuable than this one. Dropping it for Empyrean Empowerment seems like a no-brainer move.
I tried the build , and I haven't reach full level 30, still at level 14, but following the path of the build, but I notice something that it seem that my kills and my damages seems to not registered to me, and it was registered to some other of my team mates as I find it odd. Does it supposed to be like that ? I remember busy blasting off the assasination target shield and damages the target after the shield is gone, and killing off the crowds but somehow my damages toward the assasination target and the crowd kills doesn't registered. Unlike when I use other staff during lower levels though.
Venting shriek is good! Helpful for saving yourself if you find yourself about to self pop. I did try disrupt destiny, and i did find it works okay. I just wish it increased your crit chance instead of crit damage.
I always recommend to run what's best fitted for your playstyle. But for this used a +1 wound and 2 Toughness curios. All with Toughness and combat ability regen perks
