This Rare Manual FGX XR6 Turbo Is A Perfect Street Car! 

Ford really dropped the ball by not selling the Falcon in the USA, these cars were far better than the Crown Victoria.

The Fg x look has definitely grown on me. In this model specifically it looks mint. Coming out right after the FG at the time I was like, Ford dropped the ball, but they’ve really aged well

We all know the auto is quicker but on the street my God the manual is a beast. I had a manual fg xr6t with 580hp and it was probably the most fun car I will ever own, love these things

One thing the manual had over the auto was factory launch control as demonstrated 👌

Such awesome looking falcons ,I have a white 2015 Fgx xr6 NA has been tuned airbox mod cat back and headers . Love how it drives and sounds.

I dont care what anybody says, i think this thing looks superb. I dont think i will ever get sick of Turbo Falcon reviews.

By far the best sounding xr6 turbo out, they’re usually either quiet as or a offensively loud fart with a whistle

I have always been a Holden guy, but I have so much respect and support for any of the Barra's and later model Fords. This model Falcon was the nicest ever made, and they were just getting better and better. Ford and Holden will regret the day they shut their doors in Australia. 😔 I just hope that, just like MG, they don't resurrect the Falcon and Commodore in China. That'd be a very sad day. 😞

I could imagine the Barra Turbo mated to a dual clutch 7 speed transmission used in the Shelby Mustang GT500. With a matching power output to the Mustang at over 800 horsepower, it could comfortably keep up with the Shelby. p.s. It could rev just as hard.

Well sadly it's the last of the mighty Barra so of course I love it even though I'll always prefer the look of the earlier models,but she's still a beautiful car & that colour is awesome & goes perfect with those chrome rims,I thoroughly enjoyed this cheers brah.

Looks like thie car needs some sticky rubber and wider back wheels. Had a 375rwkw g6e and changing to a pilot cup tyre and 275 rear wheels made all the difference.

What exhaust dose it run sounds nice

Great video Ross Did the owner have a 4inch exhaust with muffler delete? This sounds so much better than my 4inch I have on my fg.

For people hoping for the falcons return, they have retrademarked the name, along with the territory

I drove the BA FPV 6-speed manual Typhoon, and a BA XR6-T 4-speed BTR auto when they were both new. I could keep either. The FPV had 10% more power, and 50% more gears. Both cars were fitted with factory C8 front brakes with the pillar vented rotors. These are the standard FPV Blue sliding caliper C8 calipers, that came in black on the XR6 as an (expensive) option. So what happened? Shockingly, the 4-speed auto was: - way, way, faster off the line - vastly more refined (decades ahead), like comparing a jet to a tractor - way, way, way...more drivable in all conditions, and especially in complex twisty undulating terrain, and 10 x that in the wet. Just use the sequential function, it is a revelation with that big beautiful 2000 rpm lock up stall convertor. So there you go. This was certainly not what I expected. So I kept the XR6-T.

Its getting harder to find a nice unmolested fgx falcon..been looking for one that has no mods, but sadly all of them so far have been tinkered with, two i saw had all the mods reversed, which is even scarier.

Custom leather interior is Awesome what did that cost. The FG is still far better looking The FGX looks like a Ford Mondeo on Steroids

As a lifetime car enthusiast, I've completely lost confidence in the Australian car market. Australia has fallen. We need a complete overhaul of the government and we need to put Australia first again.

Design

It’s really the buying public of Australia that is to blame / they would rather be seen in unreliable, pretentious German cars, keeping up with the jones’ or some kind of light truck, cosplaying as tradesmen

Sorry for the bad news Ross but Ford will never make sedans again. Even us here is the USA where they are from they only give us one car which is the mustang. Everything else is trucks and EVs. The era of these cars will never come back. And its sad.

Just make sure you sell it before you hit 160-200K, 'cus that's when a lot of the low quality elements + design flaws begin to show itself. There's a reason Ford Australia went bankrupt. The heirarchy decided as their new business model, beginning with the BA, to greatly reduce the quality, so they could line their pockets with more money.

I have 4 FGX ‘s mine are all auto and the reason they are autos ,is because the T56 box is crap alway has and always will be . Mustang has the same box and it’s an even worse combo.
