PGA Tour is probably two tiers above RU-vid golf, in terms of talent. However, YT golfers are more watchable, the personalities more likable. Tour pros come across poorly -- as pricks, I dare say, in many cases -- and the broadcasts are a travesty of marketing and bs.

I think Grants point is valid, with the annoyance of PGA golf streams. Changing channels, not being able to watch the leading groups. YT golf gives us everything we have been asking for from PGA streams. More mic’d up golfers(listening to them banter with their caddies) and being able to watch every swing. It’s future is a really high ceiling

The level of talent in the PGA is unmatched. That being said there are some extremely talented RU-vid golfers, and RU-vid golf is so entertaining. Can it challenge the PGA... I really don't care. I know I'd rather watch a Bob Does Sports video than a PGA broadcast.

Not to mention the FPS format of YT golf changes the experience of watching the game! Anyone who's watch any FPS before, it is more natural to watch it from this perspective than the perspective of a TV broadcast...

Theres a reason why foreplay didn't collab with many other channels previously...... Its because when barstool was owned by Penn they weren't allowed to do content with other content creators that currently/or previously advertised gambling businesses like draftking, prize picks, mgm etc etc. Now Dave fully owns 100% of barstool, all of their talent are now having guests on that they wouldn't of previously been able to collab with.

I'm guessing they want to livestream it so they can include the gambling aspect to it. If they work out a cut with gambling sites it will bring the monetary value of the tourney significantly.

RU-vid golf is farrrr more entertaining then PGA/LIV events outside of majors and the Ryder cup. When you can go from BDS and just pure comedy to amazing play from Bryan bros, grant, Luke, and Garret to beautiful and equally entertaining scenery and duos (definitely my favorite) in Bustajack to incredible story telling and cinematography of randomgolfclub. So much variety. All for free.

Reliability. YT golfers are more relatable to everyday people whereas the pros are just at a level that most of us dont think we can get to. Also correct in mentioning the scenery and duos. Look at Grant vs Wesley video that just came out with them golfing in Bermuda. Stunning stuff and great golfing.

At the end of the day people only really care about Majors and Ryder in terms of serious pro golf. RU-vid golf is very even with PGA tour when comparing straight viewership. Viewership is the most important metric. That’s it. People are just sick of the monotony of the PGAT.

Look at what youtubers like logan and jake paul did with boxing... Love it or hate it they got eyeballs on multiple massive boxing events and got paaaaaid. Look at bobdoessports and their breezy events. Look at good good meet up turn outs. If you put all these golfers into an event and make it fun for the attendees, then also add ppv, game over. There could be serious stroke play events but also more of their fun challenges (knock out, rough is lava, only up, etc etc)
