This Rocket League bot is the same rank as me 

Nexto is the best Rocket League bot ever made. Its creators estimate it to be Grand Champion 2. That's the same rank as me. Today, I 1v1'd Nexto in a best of 5 to see how good it really is. Does it live up to the hype?

This 1v1 best of 5 challenge against Nexto ended up being a lot closer than I thought. I thought I would either get dominated or I would dominate it. Turns out, it went pretty back and forth. It's crazy that at the start of this year, the best Rocket League AI was seen to be around Gold 3. But suddenly, thanks to machine learning, someone put together a Rocket League bot that has reached the skill equivalent of Grand Champion 2. I never would have thought this was possible. Now that I've seen it and played against it for myself, it is certainly the real deal. Nexto is definitely Grand Champion 2. It is no longer an insult to be called a bot because this bot is an elite Rocket League player in the top 1%.
