So for the DDoS hack to be possible it would have to have pear to pear hosting. Which I know is not the case. Otherwise there is no way for people to get your IP just by being in the same match as someone. This way of online play has been done for many years because of this vulnerability. Pear to pear was back in the day when the host would leave and your game would "Migrate host" No competitive game is doing this. Therefore everything is going through a main server and a 3rd party technique would be needed to get their IP. That portion is complete BS.
If this were to happen, these people are taking down an entire server. Which is hosting a complete region Ex: US WEST. A packet dump that large would not only be something so risky and illegal. Considering the largest server host is google. To do this for rocket league ranks would take incredible knowledge and risk. Nobody with that knowledge would be dumb enough to be doing this. And if they are, they could not be stupider.
Epic ruined this game, absolutely obliterated it. I don’t have a problem with cheaters but I do have a problems with how dog shit the game has become. Demos not working, ghost hits, literally just going through the ball, going supersonic into someone only to tickle them and completely lose your momentum. It’s every single game for me. They need to fix this shit can of a game
I love this game so much but I stopped playing because of the lack of content and attention that epic games gave to this amazing game. It is just sad to see time to time reports about how it is becoming worse and worse

as someone who enjoys watching rocket league but has never played, this was both informative and entertaining. I really appreciate the slow motion breakdowns being followed by the announcers reaction. Gave me enough time on that last one to see him do the thing, then realize the ball's trajectory and go "oh my god, oh no, oh no". Like the same emotion I get when a Chicago Cubs player loses a fly ball in the sun with the bases loaded.
i got attacked by a ddos hacker in a server, but luckily the server just bugged out for a while and the guy disconnected, and a few moments later it was normal. Luckily not my teammate.
Overall they should fix ranked. Like why do I lose mmr, when my Teammate quits with 3min on the clock left or the server being horrible. Hope they change both ranked and the hacking issue quickly 🙏
They don’t care because like 12 people still play the game. It isn’t worth their paychecks to spend 8 months trying to fight hacking in a game that’s never gonna make a comeback.
Been playing Rocket league lately on Eu randomly ping will go to 100-140 for me and my friend but never opponents and it happens randomly sometimes 10 games in a row. Rocket league pls fix
I’ve been running into a lock of hackers lately, killing the servers. It happens often when they are getting out played. Can’t get back into the game, lots of lag, latency, etc… I’ve noticed sometimes warnings come up and like clockwork they score quickly each time with odd goals or long shots. One person threatened to hack my account. Lots of people not playing or quitting or own goals to deal with as well. I wish it could be evaluated and taken care of faster.
I've played against an invisible person before. And I've gotten ddot before. Twice in a months time. The invisible person was trash and super predictable. They still won because yes I'll admit... I couldn't see them lol. But I made them work for it. But the ddot happened while I was helping my friend get better at the game. And these are just in casuals. Because I stopped playing comp due to the amount of people throwing the match, quitting early, hesitation and letting the other team hit the ball and then acting, switching sides creating a 3v1 (I'm the 1), and random cheating. All these obstacles pushed me down In the rankings really bad. Once, while I was trying to make into champ for the first time, I was so close I could smell it. I was winning games in a row and the opponents were getting even better to play against. I made it all the way to Diamond 3 division 3-5. I was in my bag. Until out of no where I just kept getting a flux of teammates that gave up or weren't competent. Some weren't even close to my rank. First teammate quit. Didn't get a new teammate. Lost the game. Went down a division. Second game, I'm mad but I worked hard for this long, I'm sure to lose every now and then. Second game I get a new teammate... AFK..... Gets booted. New teammate shows up late in the game and is in their own world. We lose and apparently it's my fault. Goes down again in rank. Next game, teammate throws because they scored 2 points first before we scored. We lose. Next game. Teammate quits game. Lost. Next game, teammate is just..... 😮💨. They tried but now I'm low diamond so I can't complain. Our opponents on the other hand a fully strapped (also, every team we went against were in a party)...... Long story short.... I got demoted to platinum in one night. And for the rest of the season I could not return to diamond for anything.... After that, I was done with competitive. I only play it when a new season starts to rank myself, and I'll play it with my friends. Nothing else. I'm not trying to play up there anymore competitively. That really broke my heart. It felt like I was playing dark souls. I still get these issues with casuals but I was was raised on rocket league with the CPU (shout-out to my guy Sundown!!!) so I can play better with them sometimes than most players. It's wild but I can def see this game dying if they don't do anything about it and that will breaky heart again. And it won't be because I love this game so much... But because I know we won't do anything about it. We won't boycott, we won't protest, sign petitions, nothing. It will just die and we will find another game to play while epic games just lays back and says... "Welp, there's always fortnite"......
It’s like the PS4 being hacked and the 5. I got cheated on. The ball literally stopped the ball where they wanted. Mid kickoff. Or right in front of their goal. Ugh
If epic didn’t force the removal of crates I would have spent so much more money but ever since the removal of crates I haven’t bought a single thing from rocket league.
