Can you spot the difference between a Grand Champion, Supersonic Legend, and Pro RLCS Rocket League player? I hosted a 10,000 credit competition on my stream to test if the community could really tell the difference between these very difference skill levels like they said they could.

You might have seen Rocket League guess the rank videos. It's something that's been done many times by Rocket League RU-vidrs. I had a theory that it's much harder to guess the difference between high ranks than it is to guess low ranks. I created this 10,000 credit kahoot competition to test that theory. I really could not tell the difference between gc and ssl, but I think pro play is pretty recognizable by the coordination between the teammates. They're in comms and practice together all the time, so like some of the passes are dead giveaways (or like one of them the player turned away from a nice ball when the teammate went up)

Once kaydop did a "guess my rank" stream/video. One of the replay was him playing ranked 2s at 2200mmr. He guessed himself GC1/2, so yeah, we all suck at guessing ranks

I love how Wayton said multiple times that he mixed up the items but I see some guys in the chat saying "alpha boost" or "gc car design", some people just don't pay attention.

As a GC level streamer, this hits home 😂 People always hop into stream, watch 1 minute of gameplay, and the the first thing out of their mouth is “there’s no way ur gc”. There are so many different ways to play and win in this game, you need to watch a player for way longer to really get an accurate gauge of where they are ranked.

Just a quick appreciation of the „mute, unmute“ throughout the video to differentiate between commentary and voice over. It’s nice to see how much thought he puts into viewer experience every time, it’s the small things.

The final one was the easiest for me. The willingness to go with 0 boost is a dead give away. GC and SSL would have been to scared with 0 boost for so long

On the turbo one I literally said “this is either a gc or a pro who plays really slow and patient” it’s so hard to tell when you can’t see nameplates because positioning in pro play makes it stand out so much.

Hey great idea! Would love to see a 2nd episode, maybe with one guest who could guess the rank and explain, with a focus on EXPLANATIONS. I think it would allow us to better reconise what makes the difference between pros and GCs.

Next video: Pro, SSL and GC vs Pro, SSL and GC in a regular 3vs3 to see if we can spot who is who. Or even if both teams can spot who is the PRO, SSL, GC in the other team. I can't spot the difference in games above my rank but it would be cool to have a video that shows how much better a SSL is against a GC and do i dare to say "suck" compared with a pro?
