I wanted to but when I looked it up, there wasn't anything open to the public like when we were at the F150 plant in Dearborn! So we decided to skip it!
I was! Makers had been my drink of choice for a long time! After taking a six year break during my pregnancy/nursing years, I was excited to go to a tasting!
It looks like you could have positioned the valve release to the rear to protect it from anything hitting it from the side, especially a tire blow out.
Living in Kentucky all my life, we went to Jim Beam and Makers Distilleries with 4H and Jr High school trips. Then on our older days the Motorcycle trips with our friends. Welcome to My Old Kentucky Home. If you can and have time check out Mammoth Cave area and always safe travels
Beautiful place we will be going to Kentucky next spring to go to Noah’s ark! Can’t wait. Alicia look like she was having a good time. We are going to have to go to that distillery. God bless and be safe.
I was born in Frankfort and drove to work on old Frankfort Pike everyday for years. You should check out Elkorn Creek campground in Frankfort....right on the creek.
@@PavingNewPaths yes! Hewell has passed. He did a PBS show for years called California Gold. His trademark quote was “ That’s Amazing”. Hewell showed us all some very unique qualities of CA.
Ain't gonna lie. I watched that beginning section and was rather disappointed....I was so expecting Alisha to become a WooooGirl at Makers Mark!!!! Nice support of Ferrari as well. Great views.
Being from Texas myself. I would rather live no other place but in the state of Texas. But, while I was in the service I lived in my other states. I was stationed in Kentucky for nearly 5 years and I have always told my kids if I had a second place in the states to live Kentucky would be second. It’s absolutely amazing and beautiful where you guys are staying. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
I grew up in a neighborhood along Old Frankfort Road. Gorgeous scenery. Horse parks all around us. I’m a bit biased because in live in kentucky, but it is a beautiful state.
Awesome vlog when you are so enthusiastic and passionate about something. That really came through as much as you were about the cars. Your children are troopers and a pleasure.
I'm glad my enthusiasm came through on the video! The Makers Mark Distillery has been on my bucket list for a really long time! Even if they didn't offer tastings, I'd still be just as excited to go see the beautiful grounds, learn how it's made and dip my own bottle! The kids were definitely troopers during this adult adventure!
Need to check out red river gorge in KY, more beautiful then grand canyon. Nada tunnel very cool. Natural bride and sky bridge, both natural brides absolutely stunning in the fall.
I’ll have admit I still have not been to Makers Mark. The tour looks like fun so I’ll bump this up on my things to do. I’m off Monday so that may be the day. 😊🥃
If you're interested in going, we highly suggest calling or looking online for open tour dates. We couldn't find an open date on the website, but when we called, they were able to squeeze us in! All of the distillery tours are very popular and get booked up weeks out! We hope you enjoy it as much as us when you get the chance to visit!
Using our wifi hotspot we had enough internet to make calls as longas we are at the RV, but if we are out in the park there is no cellphone service and the parks wifi just wouldn't stay connected enough to call!
It really was beautiful! Sad to say one or Candied Apple bottle has already disappeared, with the help of some family and friends! Still holding on to my 46 though!
WE LIVED IN kY FOR 4 YEARS. Owned a home there. The east end was 6 inches odd the ground and the west was over 6 feet off the ground. We had a 100 foot driveway and the road was higher than the roof of our place.
I’m gonna have to subscribe just because I’m seeing a normal decent family and no Karen’s and cocky trouble makers ruining someone else’s day. Good job and good luck with your channel and camping. It was enjoyable watching. 👍✌️🇺🇸
you rode in a nascar race car? can you let me know where i can find that in your videos? loved the driving montage!! if you are ever in new england during the fall, there are some really pretty places to drive in connecticut - just beautiful back roads with some really beautiful farms, and fabulous vintage houses (colonial times - if you are into that kind of thing). thanks for another great video!!
Yes I got to ride in a Nascar in Daytona, you can see it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hW_kaLrGZbY.html I love everything cars and get carried away sometimes with the epic montages!
It's nothing fancy just the stock mic! We have been working with a new mic for the cameras, but it's directional so unless I am looking at it you almost can't hear us without major fixes in editing!
@PavingNewPaths if its original (depending on the year also ) it should have a wood frame . There were some kit cars and some refurbished ones that were convered to alloy due to termite dammage.
That was so cool seeing Alecia so excited. My brother in-law loves Makers Mark and he doesn't get that excited. I got a good laugh when Alecia noticed that the people tasting didn't finish their bourbon. I pictured her sneaking in and downing a fee glasses. Also, Noticed how Kevin placed the camera on the drive shots. Damn he's good. Thanks Kim😊
Thanks for watching! Your brother-in-law sounds like he has great taste! You know me well to know it crossed my mind to go find the glasses that hadn't been touched and help them get empty! Kevin is very creative with all of his shots but shines when it comes to filming vehicles... especially in beautiful scenery like we had on that road!
I think we were there on the same day..16 Oct?? If so, I saw my truck parked there!! Makers is my child also..esp the 46 Cask! We were there doing the Bourbon Trail mid Oct and Makers was our favorite distillery and tour! And the same guy who helped Alecia dip her bottle, helped me dip mine! Great video once again!
That is so awesome, we were there on Oct 16, what a small world! Alecia loves Makers Mark, and this was a great day for her! This isin't the last Bourbon you see from Kentucky!
Kentucky is definitely beautiful. It was good seeing Alicia checking off something on her buck list & being so excited. That was a fun interaction. Back years ago before paying bills online my brother used to drive by there to pay their water bill (they lived in Bardstown). Bardstown is a cute town with lots to see there. It's the home of Crystal Rogers, the mother who went missing 8yrs ago & never found. Hopefully that case will come to a closure in the next couple years.
Kentucky is amazing! We could definitely see ourselves coming back here! Alecia has been waiting the whole trip to check this thing off of her bucket list!
Wow, I think I could live in Kentucky. Awesome campground. You better keep an eye on Alicia and her Makers Mark 😂😂. I reminded me of my trip when was in the Army to the Piper champagne factory in France. There was a train with open carts that took you through the cellars. It was dark and towards the back you kept hearing corks popping.😮. Thanks for another great video.
The campground was awesome! We currently run two hot spots on Att and one Verizon so we are usually covered! We would only get startlink if those stopped working for us!
That was really cool we hope to do the Kentucky bourbon trail next spring. It was great to see you guys enjoy your adventure. How fun! Keep those videos coming can’t wait to see what’s next! Safe travels
Thanks so much for watching and taking time to comment! We hope that when you get to enjoy the Kentucky bourbon trail, that you have as much fun as we did!

Morgan is a traditional British touring car. Built on a wooden frame although I think they’ve changed that on their higher performance model. Oh, and it’s Jag-you-are not Jag-waar if you want to sound more English 😁
Great video! We did the Bulleit and Buffalo Trace distilleries. It was interesting as Bulleit was very modern and Buffalo Trace was old school. We will check out Makers Mark when we are in the area next time.
Alicia...You made me giggle watching your excitement at the Maker's Mark museum. I loved every minute of it. I am with you on the KY Bourbon Trail. We went with 2 other couples, otherwise the hubby and I would have made that part of our visit. When we were there a few weeks ago, I made sure to ask for a different KY bourbon everywhere we ate and enjoyed every one of them.
It really was an amazing experience, so neat to learn the history and see how they make it! The tasting wasn't terrible either! We visit another distillery soon!
I don't drink (much) but when we were down that way several years ago, we did go there!! Really enjoyed the tour and the tasting!! Looks like they have made some changes since we were there!! What I liked the most, while waiting on the tour, they had coffee that was infused with their bourbon!! (I did get a lb in the gift shop!)
It was an awesome experience, to not only learn the history, but to see how it's made! Alecia getting to dip her own bottles was the icing on the cake!
Great Park referral and tips! I thought it would be so great if your reviews came up for people that searched RU-vid for just each name. Cummins Ferry didn't get your video in a hit. Can you tag it some what so it shows? You have so many great locations and reviews.
That's because the way RU-vid works tags are irrelevant now, people were abusing them for views so they fixed it! Now there is a way for me to do what you are asking, I could take the RV park tour and release that as it's own video and title it as such and then you could search the campground reviews! Maybe I will do that!
I would love to be a greeter there! Probably couldn't give the tasting tours though, because I'd want to skip the tour and go straight to the tasting! Ha!
lol, i like how you tried to trick her into saying NH 🤣 She wasn't falling for it though 😅 Personally back 30 + years ago when i was drinking i was a Southern Comfort drinker 😉
I had no idea that was how people felt in history or other museums! I've never been so excited to learn all the things! Ha! We had a fantastic time in Kentucky!
Give Alicia a drink. It’ll make her a fun Alicia! Watch out. She may even want to drive NASCAR. Oh Lord she’s got a buzz going and yet buying more. She’s going to be sloshed out of her mind. The we means her! Lol.
So she has a DARK side, that’s ok. Now I can look at you just a LITTLE different. Not a bad thing at all. You go Girl. Saying all that, the CARS are the best thing there. Love to drive one, Not to own one. WAY TOO HIGH cost of Maintenance and insurance.
It wasn’t until I started being used by God in His power that I started seeing the demons operating and the very real fight between good and evil… then I really understood why they call alcohol spirits… if people only knew they wouldn’t touch it! Just wait until you see a young person slithering on the floor screaming in a voice way deeper than they could ever make on their own!
While our belief is that alcohol in moderation is not a sin, we understand that your beliefs may differ. We respect your beliefs, and thank you for taking the time to comment! God bless!
I understand where you are coming from- ( I don’t drink, husband was in addiction for first ten years doing everything under the sun) but pull out your plank! Not everyone struggles with the same things. Not nessary to make a comment like this to them.
