Singapore’s hawker food is known to be sinful. But there’s actually a dish that you can indulge a ton in without guilt. It’s called Thunder Tea Rice, a traditional Hakka dish made for generations.

5:14 Contrary to the commentary, eating leicha over rice are actually the traditional eating method among Hakka groups all over the world. Including in China.

i love leicha!! i couldn't stand the strong herbal taste when i was younger, but i've grown to love it over the years! i prefer to eat mine by pouring the broth over the rice. i think it tastes better and delicious that way because the herbal tea complements the overall savoury toppings haha

I wonder if you can try to introduce Chinese Malaysian or Indonesian food which is more diverse than Singapore

When I visited SG, I looked for Leicha from 2-3 hawker places but I can’t find one.

I was wondering whether the production team would be willing to broaden the content to maybe include fashion, opera, and musical instruments, etc. in China? I wonder if any older weaving techniques are still used. I remember watching a video wayy back about this man who still made guqin the traditional way. Loved this video and alll videos you guys post. Thanks a lot!

If only there's leicha without shrimp and peanuts so I can try it.

It makes sense that Leicha would taste similar to Pesto, because they both have aromatic + pungent basil.
@devil01942
@devil01942 Год назад
It basically boils down to whether you like basil, which is the main ingredient of the "tea". If you hate basil but somehow love leicha, thats probably not authentic leicha 😂
