Same, it they flatten the soles and maybe made their logo on the back monotone it would be better. That heel bump is making it seem like some formal shoes than a sneaker

Exactly my thoughts, was going to pull the trigger on some Crowns, but i hesitated because i did not like how bulky they looked compared to Common Projects or my now deceased Uniform Standards, after seeing the Mellor II i am sold.

Dumbass Dumpling I’d say common projects. They are kinda seen as the golden standard for the white sneakers trend despite the insides not being the best for the price.

Dumbass Dumpling I can explain why I don’t like them......... Obviously white sneakers aren’t new. However, in the white sneaker minimalist world, common projects are seen as the top of the style. Despite my brother literally having 5 other white sneakers, he still wants the common projects. Gosh this series started with them and everything is always compared to them. They have been branded as the top. I’m saying this company is missing that mark of the true style of white sneaker. I guess they are trying to stand out, that’s what yellow typically means in advertising and that differences of the heel and all over body of the shoe would catch your attention. however, that’s not what the white minimalist sneaker game is about. It’s about spreading a lot of money for a shoe you can’t really tell the brand of. That’s the whole New York, ex)rag and bone, I work at a cool tech startup, I’ve got money but I’m humble aesthetic. That crowd doesn’t wear Gucci but still wear expensive brands. So to get back to my point. If I saw these on the street, I would have assumed they wanted to be on the white sneaker game, but couldn’t afford them, so they went to jc penny and picked an average white sneaker. That’s why I say it looks like a rip off. It’s like they are trying to be in the game, but are failing, which is typically what you see from shoes at shoes for less stores. They will carry the style, but something is always off. That’s what these shoes scream to me. They don’t scream I spent (with the US conversation) the same price for these shoes as the common projects ones. The body doesn’t have the sleek design, the heel is a weird thing in a sneaker, and there shouldn’t be color. There you go.

Someone should send him some Soaps and Heelys.

Chelle the Raf Stan smiths are high end I would hope they’d be made to a higher standard so would be interesting to see if there’s a difference
