Honestly big ups to Wolfsbayn. Just bringing this not very good mono water team. Probably was doing it just as an excuse to show off their shiny floatzel. Respect the hell out of it
I also love Lumineon, its design, it's cry, all of it.. Sadly its treated as garbage in competitive.. Hopefully it would have a redemption in the future!!
Since Electric is probably up next, how about trying something out with Levitate Tera Electric Hydreigon? Maybe you could try Focus Energy + Draco Meteor, so the stat drops won't matter
While I agree, poor Iron Jugulis: so poorly made that its (Tera'd) original form will likely be better on a mono-Electric team likely to have Electric Terrain than it would be.
I used Kilowattrel and Pachirisu together. Spamming redirection with Competitive Kilowattrel using Discharge is really funny with a Volt Absorb Pachirisu
Tatsugiri is one of my favourite new Pokemon, I don't know what it is about it, I just find it ridiculously cute and charming. I've been messing around with a Tatsugiri and Dondozo comp, but the tatsugiri has storm drain instead and have gotten some decent wins with the element of surprise lol

Maybe for the mono electric team you can incorporate a soak strategy to make pokemon that would resist electric type attacks suddenly super weak to it. Pellipper and kilowateral could be interesting with tailwind + windpower, drizzle + thunder, and of course soak to threaten ground types

For the electric one could you PLEASE use Bellibolt??? His ability is pretty strong and I’m sure you can wombo combo it with a bunch of other things. Maybe also Killowattrel! I don’t usually use electric types but I love these 2 this Gen. And they have some very fun abilities that you could play around with 🐶 Ok another good suggestion I think is Hisuian Electrode! I need to pull mine in from home to see what he can do, but I’d love your take on him!
This is what i wanted to do the moment i saw golduck learning this move BUT i found out it cannot technically learn it without HOME transfer because the only mons that could have this move before were Grumping (and Spoink) and Golduck (with Psyduck) BUT only as egg moves. I tried hunting these in raids in hope they would get those moves from there but to no avail. However now it's possible to have Golduck with the move Simple and i was gonna make a mono water team with it and dondozo but i see you made it first (except your team is not mono water but almost). Still awsome. Glad someone thought about this too.
As for lumineon buffs, my personal suggestions would be: Stats: speed 91->101 Sp. Atk 69 (nice)->79 New moves: Signal beam Hurricane Quiver dance Wish +A new evolution that's actually good. Explaining the changes: Lumineon's 101 speed + rain dance would make it a much faster support mon that can outspeed some of the fastest non-boosted sweepers under rain, and would be able to outspeed a decent chunk of mons without rain. It already has a good support movepool, so it only really needs the stats. I added wish here because it learns u-turn & bounce naturally, so you could have a wish->u-turn momentum based healer OR go for some wish->bounce cheese. The sp. Atk buff would make it okay, but not amazing, at hitting with its much wider movepool. Quiver dance + 79 sp. Atk + hurricane, hydro pump, signal beam/dazzling gleam/ice beam, would make it essentially the water type butterfly mon in terms of viability - it wouldn't hit the hardest of the quiver dancers but it could hit the fastest & with a better typing & movepool. Said focus sash + quiver dance set would be just as gimmicky here, but it would let lumineon do *something* offensively. And finally, giving it an evolution would give it access to eviolite, which would make its 69(HP)/76(Def)/86(Sp.Def) something usable as well. You could have variations of a tanky eviolite set up sweeper OR a tanky eviolite support, along with other non-tanky builds like the aforementioned focus sash-quiver dance set. These changes wouldn't make lumineon top tier or anything, i don't think, but they would make it a mon that can exist in OU (even if niche) with quite a bit of flexibility in movepool & ability. The evolution would and should be better and a proper threat, but it doesn't really need to be *all* that much better. I'm perfectly happy with the evolution being better in the main campaign & lumineon being better competitively.
Yeah, Chilling Water really needed/needs more power even as someone who found Scald one of the most annoying moves in the game. I wouldn't mind Scald given back to a *few* other mons besides Volcanion though, like Vaporeon or something. It just shouldn't be *everywhere* when it's such a spammable attack that's somehow a better Burning move than pretty much all Fire attacks.
How about an Electric Trick Room team with Tera electric Cresselia for TR and attackers like Pincurchin and Iron Hands along with some support like Electrode (Hisui or normal)
Electric, huh? A funny kilowattrel team could work, but you already kind of did that with the fairy wind team iirc. Pawmot is another funny Pokémon, but I’d like to see if it has any niche outside of revival blessing. Is it any good offensively? Does it have any funny abilities I’m forgetting about? I’ve thought about nuzzle self proc guts weakness policy swellow for a while now, and I don’t think swellow is in the game, but is there another Pokémon that could work on? I think Squawkabilly gets guts, but I don’t know if it’d use Tera electric very well Jolteon gets quick feet, does quick feet, I forget what procs quick feet but pricing it off something unconventional is always fun. And finally I don’t see sandy shocks used. I think it has its niche in one of the smogon singles tiers, or recently got banned or something, but I’ve never seen anyone touch it for vgc.
sweeper pincurchin next pls &yeah lumineon needs an evo that leans into its glass cannon properties. maybe a secondary type of like poison / bug / rock , might be a reason to introduce another special attack for those types. then lumineon can run eviolite and maybe live a hit.
