Tyne Daly was cute in a nerdy way, and she really did a great job in this flick holding her own with Clint in the very unlikely role of cop partnered with Harry. Many years later, when I was a very handsome 35, and she was much older and staring in Judging Amy, I happened to be approaching her in a Brentwood grocery. I broke into a broad smile, and she returned the smile. Then I blurted out, "My mom loves you!" The smile vanished, but she quicky recovered, and she said (in her Bostonian), "Oh yeah, I'm really popular with the moms." Then she smiled and winked. I'll never forget it and always love her for it.
@@michaelreifenstein2114 She was. Just not in a glamorous way, which would be the usual female actress they'd pick. It made her believable in the role: a bookish desk cop with a relatively squat, unathletic body that fit Harry's idea of PC woman choice that'll be a liability on the street as a partner. But she shows a lot of guts and eventually saves his life and sacrifices her own.
You know I won't say anything too out of hand, but, as Hank Hill once said, "You know, Sir, Texas has changed a lot since 1850." Likewise, 1970 is a long time ago in America as a whole! 😆
Hey, Jorn. A Viking cruise ship just went by my apartment. I looked to see where it was going to, and it's Bergen. I have the rain today. No sun at all. 😢 😢😢
Tyne Dailey was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, where I lived during a child. Dailey's Drug Store is still in downtown Rapids as far as I know.
It's prophesied in Jeremiah that the End Times Babylon will become as women... don't get me wrong, I love, but not in authority, in a biblical submissive way they ought to live.
'Babylon' is the woman or Soul who adorns herself with the riches of 'material possession.' The Soul has to submit to Spirit which in turn saves that soul from destruction. You speak of submission in an Islamic or Moshian/Judaic sence. The mind of the male and female have to work in unison(Synergy), not what this clown world has to offer.
Kate, če ne bi želela postati policistka, te Bob Maxwell, ne bi ubil ! Škoda ! Ti si se mi, pa, zares, najbolj, zasmilila !Ob prvem ogledu, sem, skoraj, zajokal ! NO, SAJ, JE BIL, LE FILM, ŠE VEDNO, SI ŽIVA ! OSTANI, ŠE, ČIM DLJE !16 let si mlajša od partnerja Harryja. Danes, imaš 78 let.
The quota used to be: "100% men, even if unqualified." which explains the low quality of America's police compared to other countries. Because, sadly, that quota still exists.
The fastest woman on the planet wouldn't qualify to be on the US men's Olympic team. Name for me a single profession on the planet where its considered that women are better at than men. And even if your assertion was true, which it wasn't, is today better? Find someone, anyone, other than a white man to do the job.
