This is Eerie. My food just got here, it's almost like you knew it would be arriving soon and I would need something to watch. Couldn't ask for better timing. 👌🏾
A fun eviolite user ive been testing is actually fraxure it has base 117 atk 70 def and 50 spdef ive been trying it with a howl scream tail in trick room and out of it with a tera steel it can one shot most bulky flutters with iron head I just think its a very fun mon to run its definitely not the greatest but it honestly is so much fun to use
Stantler is showing up on several teams now, Scizor and Azumarill are both really good in the current format, Flutter, Bundle and the two paradox Donphans, it's a Johto renaissance!
I really love seeing unique Pokémon being used in effective ways. QOTD: I would like to see Ursaring be able to effectively use eviolite but, I imagine it would be hard though due to the fact that it has guts, so you pretty much always run flame orb with it.
You can technically use a support mon that doesn't necessarily need an item to function to hold a flame orb and use fling onto Ursaring, since Fling causes Flame Orb to cause burn 100%. The only real issue is if you're facing a follow me user. Boom, eviolite and guts triggered.
I know it'd probably be Stantler overload, but I'd love to see you try out that Stantler skill swap/Competitive Wigglytuff team that's been floating around around too!
I like how 3 different VGC channels have now featured Stantler because people are realizing how good it is. In my sleepiness when I got the notification at like 4AM that this video was posted, without my glasses I thought this was the same team that James Baek featured with Competitive Wigglytuff (since Sylveon mostly shares the same color palette and without glasses I couldn't tell the difference) but it was in fact not which makes it even funnier to see Stantler on more than one team. Fear the Deer. QOTD: I'd like to see Eviolite Scyther make a comeback.
I believe I faced this person during the last Global Challenge. I knew that Stantler leanred Trick Room, but was wondering what it would do after that, and saw it clicking Hypnosis...😈
I used this on my reg 2 team with a Gravity core actually! Even the moveset you used is similar to mine! Main difference is I used Stomp for flinch chance but I think your idea of Helping Hand is better.
I am beyond excited for Wyrdeer to be added because it shares a lot of the same underrated qualities as Stantler, but it's even slower. I think Ursaluna is going to be the tipping point for making Trick Room more viable, but Wyrdeer will certainly help.
Has to be said that this is good content on here... This is Aaron Cybertron Zheng here (😂) But seriously I do like watching these videos. Really solid content that's always interesting, I like the variety within the teams that you run and there's always a rationale behind why you picked the teams. It's obvious as well that it's not just a case of slapping another video on RU-vid just for the views, the money and the sake of it. Keep it up mate 👍
Honestly been considering Stantler for a while, but I'm just out here waiting for Wyrdeer. Stantler is a decent bit sturdier because of the Eviolite (Moonblast from Timid Flutter 3HKO, Wyrdeer is 22% chance to 2HKO with the same EV spread), but it's just too fast imo. The eviolite also means an auto-loss to taunt, but no one seems to be running it right now so mostly non-issue. as for QOTD, I wish Ursaring had a way to burn itself while it's holding the Eviolite w/o wasting a turn on your other mon.
it can actually evolve in SV, it's just that psyshield bash is locked to being an egg move exclusively, so you need a wyrdeer to begin with. That being said, even if it couldn't evolve, Wyrdeer does exist within the game's code (as does Ursaluna), which enable Stantler (and Ursaring) to use eviolite as they have an evolution, even if it's impossible to evolve them currently
Ooo I was thinking about eviolite users the other day. And Bisharp came to mind. It’s faster than Kingambit. It can’t use Kowtow Cleave, but can use Night Slash. So maybe buff night slash base power to 75 or 80.
I think this is the 3rd time we battled on Ranked and you beat me this time. XD I was the person you battled on Game 5. I was mostly confused at what you sent out. An offensive Garganacl? Don't see that very often. LOL Good Game man! :)
Gen 1 grimer has a great moveset for support trick room. Stickyhold means pokemon can't knock off the eviolite. It has very low speed so great in TR. I'd buff it by giving it +20 hp, +50 defense, and +50 sp def. Which would bring its bst up to 425. Make a baby version and call it a Yucki with like a 280 bst. Give Muk +40 spec attack and maybe another +10 to it's defense.
I love these kinds of videos!!! Any off meta and weird build Pokémon are the best! I would buff growlithe as I love that Pokémon and it’s shiny is super cute
Love the Arboliva! Def one of my faves from this season. Just one question: do you know why the Stantler has 7 IVs on speed? Seems so specifical and weird. (QOTD: I would love a buff on Wooper. With unaware i would be almost indestructible)
Did anyone else notice that in game 2, a single target crit hyper voice from arboliva does 45% but then a regular hyper voice does 55% and KO's the dragonite...
Ah good. I was wondering what the Stantler team was when that one guy on stream mentioned it during I think it was the EU Internationals? I forget which one it was.
So, quick question to whoever can answer this... Eviolite works on pokemon with hisuian evolutions even though the hisuian forms aren't in the game yet?
Thinking outside the box here for question of the day, but I truly believe parasect deserves an evolution and therefore would need to be buffed as an evolite user. Parasect is just so bad
I'm finally getting the game this week. Is it true that Scarlet of better for competitive? (Version exclusives). For the first time I feel so lost but hopefully I'll get in shape soon. 😊.
I don't understand in the armarouge game why didn't the og team builder didn't put wide guard over stone edge? don't really see much use when you already have rock blast especially when they don't have an answer to expanding force.
@@gregoryford2532 defiantly not better rock blast has better accuracy and wide guard being used over stone edge makes a lot more sense having more options.
Speaking of trick room teams, I wonder how good Alolan Marowak will be once it comes out. One of the biggest problems with it last gen is that amoongus always out sped it under trick room and you couldn't use something like goggles or lum berry to get around it, but with grass tera it would probably be a beast.
