I loved using aphogee for years but I tried out using olaplex and Redken brands and let me tell you, my hair has NEVER been this healthy and long. The olaplex strengthens and repairs and is a bond builder. My hair is a LOT silkier and softer. It is not a protein treatment though, more for the internal bonds of the hair. For protein treatment for your cuticles then Redken extreme will be your holy grail. I have been using this brand for two months now and boy I am not disappointed. The Redken extreme anti-snap leave-in really does reduce breakage, smooth split ends, protects and rebuilds hair surface and strengthens hair’s core. I am natural and have been stuck on just a little past shoulder length for a while and hair was still a bit frizzy when wash days and styling but 2 months into those products and my hair is soooo much more easier to manage and is nearing armpit length. The texture is a lot softer than I ever had. It works for me so hopefully it works for others too. I bought the olaplex 3 treatment, shampoo and conditioner that I would use probably once every 2 months as a DEEP INTERNAL treatment, depending on the state of your hair. Then the Redken can be used be used daily and weekly for your protein treatment. Also check your iron levels. If you're Anemic it can cause dryness and shedding...

Your hair is pretty oh, yes we all have a shedding phase I remember when I had one and I needed protein I didn't know exactly what was wrong, to make a long story short I started using proteins and my hair came back to its Glory so if you're relaxed I feel that you should have proteins on a monthly basis. I use Mielle rosemary oil and leave in moisturizer on my hair, my length is about the same as yours and it really grew my hair. I have a relaxer too.

I can honestly say since going back to relaxer Redken products has been everything to me. I use the redken extreme length line. I also use the Fitzgerald line as well and then when I’m trying to be budget friendly the L’Oréal repair 10 I think it’s called.

I do not use protein in my hair because some of my hair ran off 😃 I use black Jamaican Castor oil in my hair for dry scalp and itchy scalp.

Have you ever tried ayverda hair products? It’s all natural, products like henna, amla fenegreek. My hair is thin like yours and because of these products my hair became so much thicker and healthier. Henna is a all natural protein.

That moisture right conditioner about took my scalp out. The shampoo is OK. I think it’s the fruits in it. I hadn’t used 5 in 1 in about 2 years because I was using positive link & sustenance but I just got a bottle a month ago because I do believe it’s a good protein treatment that I was missing. Just ordered! I’ve been looking for a good protein treatment for my texlaxed hair. I’ve been using a keratin deep conditioner for chemically treated hair, but it wasn’t quite enough. My hair felt great, but I noticed I had soo much shedding over the summer. I ended up just chopping 2 inches off. Hopefully the 5 in 1 will help me retain length better. Thanks!

You know, I went out and got this today and realised they changed the ingredients. I can’t see any protein in the ingredient list. I will still try it though. The website says there is keratin in it, but unless keratin also has a different name, I can’t see it in the list at all.

Hey, I really hope you see my comment and reply. I have a few questions. I’m still natural transitioning to become texlaxed. 1. At the start of 2020 I’ve been putting heat to my natural hair and in the summer I neglected my hair. I kept washing it barely putting moisture in it. Dyed it jet black like 3 times. Some parts have broken off but now, I’m taking care of my hair again and want to relax my hair in December. In one of your videos you said don’t relax damage hair, should I still relax in December? I’m deep conditioning, I’m using all natural products, I’m using protein, oiling my scalp etc. 2. When relaxed should I only use products that tend to chemical processed hair? Being natural I used Ayurveda products, henna (one of the strongest proteins ever), fenegreek etc. and my hair sprouted!!!! Like healthy healthy lol and I want to use these products when relaxed. Hey Megz! Thank you for sharing this. I have been experiencing a lot of shedding. I am texlaxed, I am not sure if that makes a difference but my hair also seems quite sensitive to protein.
