Not really. It's the end of February and my Facebook memories of late are full of past severe weather events right around this time. We have tornadoes in December. Wisconsin just had tornadoes a few weeks ago. There's nothing bizarre about it.
I'm seeing a lot of planes crisscrossing over each other, that is bizarre, not normal at all. It is 80° here in SE MO, nothing normal about that in Feb. Mosquitoes are terrible and my dog has ticks on him. 😢
@@brendabarnett4860 You guys get hit quite a bit down there with Tornados. I remember the Utica one that destroyed that town some years back. Used to go there all the time in the summer to go boating on the Illinois River.

Utica , Naplate South side of Ottawa, I grew up in Ottawa, All this area was and is my stomping grounds 👍🤣💞🙏 The Illinois and Fox River meet here in Ottawa and Tornadoes love to follow the rivers.. My Dad used to stand outside on our Front porch with us when we were children and show us how to watch which way the tornados turned lol Not from really close, but you could always tell if it was heading up south or north 👀 I've seen many come through here and a few hit unfortunately 😥 it worked cause we always knew which way they were going 🤷✌️

This area is known for tornadoes. 🌪️
I'm in central Illinois and for the northern section of our area storm spotters have been activated, but our main area of our chase zone got downgraded to 2% from 5% tornado risk.

Southern Indiana here, about 15 miles north of Louisville, been some wind but nothing crazy yet, if anybody sees this wish me and my fiancé luck, we have to stick this out in a camper with our puppy, I hope everything will be okay but storms scare me shitless
It is 14°C/57.2°F right now in southern Ontario Canada. This winter has been pretty much likely a big bummer for seeing a a good amount of cold and snow because it was caused by very strong El Niño. But maybe next year will favour more cold and snow because of la Niña.
@MacM535 yeah, I get what you’re saying because last year was a La Niña pattern but I still got more snow than average, but at the same time it was a pretty mild winter. So it really depends on where the polar vortex wants to be at but on average la Niña patterns usually favours it to be more cold and snow in the north.
Interesting video. I am from southern michigan. The temperature will supposedly reach 72 degrees. We still have about three weeks of winter left, so it will be interesting seeing what spring has for us!

My town is sitting on the edge of everything we are just outside of most the bad stuff but at the same time we are also in the risk weather confuses me so much
We'll take some of that rain here in Texas. Hold the lighting, please. Already having red flag warnings here in February and the back and forth in the rest of the US doesn't bode well.
i live in nwi closer to chicago and i just wanna thank you for this i’ve been saying since january that the fluctuating temps are very odd and especially with it being in the high 60s and wearing short sleeve shirts outside in february. i will def stay on the look out for tornados
im not sure which to follow... yours or the weather channel. cause they say the storm is fading away from where I live. Im 65 miles south of Chicago. So I'm lost on it, for now got windows opened and its very warm nearing 70, outside of Ottawa.
Right. I mean this was earlier and we know how fast things change. But I'm with you on being confused. My weather app still has me in risk area, but my hourly weather is now showing no storming at any hours. Last night it was showing like 6 hours of storms.
Hey there, big question. This is based on rockford, il 61103. So I will always see on the news or weather reports that huge storms are heading our way from the west. Every single time they reach us in rockford, il the storm either shoots north to Madison, Wi. or it will stay south of us and head N. east to belvedere/Genoa. I would say just a completely rough estimate - maybe 30% of large storms actually hit us. That's a number I'm just pulling out of my head but myself and so many people living here recognizes that storms don't like rockford. It's like we have a barrier around us. Am I crazy, is this a thing? Your channel is fantastic and I know you're knowledgeable enough to ask this to. Thank you 😊
