This is reportedly America’s largest tiny home community, and it will be housing people in need. 224 people who previously didn’t have a place to sleep will soon move into their own tiny homes in Highland Park, California. Outreach teams went into the community to sign up unhoused people for move-in day, November 2nd. The tiny homes measure eight feet by eight feet, and have heating, cooling and electricity. Each tiny home reportedly cost the city about $8,000, including set-up and delivery. #InsideEdition

This should be spread all over the US. Homeless people will now have at least some shelter and help businesses by applying for a job. Such a great idea that doesn’t even cost that much. Unfortunately it's pure futility and will not work. The concept has already tried and failed. It's called housing projects and results in crime ridden ghettos. Also there needs to be emphasis on incentives to work rather than giving free homes to people who honestly didn't do anything to deserve them.

People always kick out homeless people anywhere they go in the city. They sleep outside a Walmart, they get kicked out, they sleep outside a restaurant, they get kicked out, they sleep in a hydro field, they get kicked out. Even in a forest they might get kicked out and depending on where you live, it might be dangerous to live in a forest because of bears and all of that. So they have nowhere to go. These houses will decrease the number of homeless people living outside places people don't want them to be so I think it's a good idea.
