That looks amazing! I would love to go to some sort of trans retreat. I'm old and not very outdoorsy, though. Probably some sort of code camp would be more my speed. A bunch of trans women in our programmer socks...

Also I filled out your retreat survey but I didn't see a blank space to make any recommendations. I wanted to suggest that it would be good to get a local/Indigenous guide as well to give their perspective on the traditional lands the group would be visiting. That's it!

wow cool ive been waiting for this video since you first talked about this retreat. i live in NZ so nothing like this here. good on you for organizing it Ty! i know this is really in its infancy atm but how cool would it be to take trans retreats international. like to organize retreats in other countries like canada/uk/australia,new zealand and have a docuseries made all about it. that shit would be fire. I just envision you doing big things dude

Could you make a future retreat or meet as accessible as possible, both physically, sensory-wise, and economically? You have disabled fans, too, and many of us are poor or on a tight budget. I can dig up some venue & program accessibility guides for you, there are a few thorough & comprehensive ones.

Jfc I want to go on a trip like this, never filled out an interest form so fast lol. I literally quoted you to my mum today - was trying to explain how a trans person can take years to realise they're trans (it took me 36 years lol) and I mentioned your story about thinking that tomboy was some kind of boy to illustrate that I'm not just extra stupid or confused or whatever. (My mum tries to be supportive but doesn't know all the things so she gets it wrong sometimes. She's only had a month to get used to me being a dude so far so honestly not complaining at this point)

Hopefully one day i could do some camping with some awesome queer people like this. It looks so fun. Sadly the idea of camping triggers a lot of anxiety for me. We're just now getting back on track after "camping" being homeless for a year.

I needed to watch some of this tonight. The death of Matthew Perry has made me feel so sad. Please don't come for me about him. It's hard to process the death of someone I watched growing up and someone I liked regardless of his issues or potential problematic behavior.
