The show "The Good Doctor" had an episode where a resident doctor, a black woman who was a very religious Christian (supposedly) was told she had to participate in or perform and abortion in order to be in line with the rules of the hospital. Well, she resisted for a while, and then realizing that her resistance was futile, she did it. So this woman who moments before was completely pro-life suddenly gives up and kills a baby because "it's the right thing to do and the woman had the right to bodily autonomy!" Amazing! Hollywood is amazingly disgusting.

Supposedly this person sees no signs of racism but since they're told that racism must exist they "internalize" the racism and that's what's causing the cancer. So to be to the point this person doesn't experience any racism and the cancer is actually being caused by the people telling them that they're being disenfranchised. Boy did that backfire.

New Amsterdam was ok for the first three episodes. Then it was totally intolerable. It was awful. The main character spouts facts that aren’t facts, blames superficial issues as root causes, and totally does not understand how medicine is meant to work. It’s fucking awful.

High stress can cause psychosomatic illness, specially on people that can't cope with it, traumatized and don't treat it properly, but to jump all the way to "racism caused tumor" is absolutely cringe and borderline criminally misinformative.

Throughout its entire run, I watched this show for a grand cumulative total of probably less than 15 minutes and I can tell you that it was an intersectional, woke, box checking, virtue signaling extravaganza of undreamt of proportions. You could even tell that just from the commercials. This clip surprises me not in the least.

This reminds me of something said during the "Me 2" era, that a woman doesn't actually have to be r8ped in order for her to feel as if she were r8ped, which led to the assertion that a woman can withdraw consent after sexual congress is completed. I did watch this show for a couple seasons and the wokeness that started showing made me quit.

Many years ago, I found a medical drama series on TV and started watching it. After a number of episodes, I became aware that one of the staff was homosexual and in a relationship with someone else. I immediately stopped watching the program. That program was New Amsterdam.

Matt, you are so right. I teach college courses in General Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, and Physical Sciences. Whoever wrote those lines is either a total moron or an absolute liar. I think the LIAR option fits the bill best. And, the actor did a great job. There is no way I could deliver such a line without bursting into laughter.

It's like the extras in The Life of Brian who were told that if they laugh they lose pay. Choking back the laughter only made it funnier.

I actually watched this series. It's not that bad if u like cheezy dramas like the blacklist. But, like many shows, the final season went FULL woke. It was bad. Apparently one of the writers was really working themselves into a frenzy. The show was failing so they tried becoming hyper dramatic. The actors were decent but the writers weren't real clever so they just cranked the dramatization up to 16 (out of 10). The worst part was when he quit his job of running a hospital better than anyone before, saving hundreds of lives, so he could give the job to a completely inexperienced black person ONLY because they were black. Because of slavery or something. Yeah, i know. I can't remember the details, but I know it was even more appalling than I just described.
