I definitely enjoyed those episodes centred on rogue clones However, the plot armor of the main characters was really to much easy to see (especially when the operative shoots at Nemec instead of a member of CF99, who are way more dangerous) I am honestly disappointed that almost all of the rogue clones died, because I was really looking forward to see Fireball and Nemec dying back to back during an operation on Mount Tantiss, and having them both dying against the operative felt disappointing However, having Wolfe returning, and showing mercy towards Rex was cool, and I hope we’ll see more about that
@@epicsshadesmaster-animatio4398 I have been running a Star wars DND campaign and one of the things I highlight is how the stormtroopers wear actual like equipment and I try and employ actual modern military strategy in how they operate. In a series about war I feel Star wars has a lot of depth to the politics of it but there feels like a lack of depth to some things with the military stuff. Anyway I'm rambling, just saying having them not just look like toys and have actual gear really pulls the vibe together.
rex's armor on his left arm is newer and cleaner than the rest of his kit. im assuming this is the arm of a fallen clone who was prob younger than him.
I like Commando Hilo, the fact he was kinda shocked from what Rex was saying about Tantis to the point he was the first who lowered his blaster made it clear that regular commando units are unaware about what their brothers on Tantis are doing. The fact he didn't stop Wolffe to let Rex go in peace and then agreed to show respect to fallen renegades says a lot. Besides Gregor he's the most human commando portrayed so far.
Well, wolf was a battalion leader, not a general So it would make sense as a commando would still follow the hierarchy of commandbut many commandos hated the jedi so it explains why some are still loyal or their chips have been cranked up @falloutgamer347
Does this include the clone assassin who was shot by the other clone assassin? If not rip to him even though he worked for the empire. At the day even the assassins are tools for the empire too. Ever clone was.
Something that I think a lot of people aren't talking about but should is Hilo, the new commando that was with Wolffe. He's the first standard commando we've seen show any sort of break in their loyalty towards the Empire. There may yet be hope for the troopers stationed at Tantiss.
I also think the fact that they've shown him quite a lot during this season (I hope it's him and not another clone wearing the same armour) is kinda making him more significant for this season and he probably will be important for breaking loyalty to the Empire!!
Some of the best two episodes in the entire series imo, Those new clones were so short lived it’s even sadder to know that those clones who do die won’t be replaced by more clones, soon clones will be extinct. Seeing wolffe face off agaisnt Rex was awesome and to also see rex planting the seed of curiosity in wolffe.
These 2 episodes were genuinely the best ones yet Wolfs Back, New clones more Rex content and getting Clone Wars nostalgia with the Bomar Monastery on Teth. The only thing I don’t get is why they killed off the new clones we barely got to know what their personalities are like. Also plus it’s foolish of Disney to do that as they know how many people love the clones and how big the clone merchandise sells.
@@StarWarsExpanded Ikr the 2 badass 41st clones just completely removed it was so unnecessary 😔 I so Hope Rex and Cody re unite someday and perhaps the rest of Delta squad join the clone resistance and try to bring Scorch back maybe that’s the reason they are so absent.
I think it conveys the brutality of war even though it is really sad to see clones die… I thought Nemec was going to live then he dies.. sad times but howser is still alive which is good
@@MCLegend13 I kind of dont want Cody to return Filoni has treated Cody poorly in the CW series , removing Cody so Rex can have the spotlight 100% if Cody returns it will be so Rex can have a cool moment Cody will die just so rex can cry over another clones body I want Cody to get the attention he deserves and anything with Filoni involved will end up favouring his own creations , in this case Rex.
I'm so sad to see Rex's team disintegrated by just two killer clones in just two episodes (one of whom even survived). I don't want to see other brothers fall like this, 6 fallen clones....I'm afraid that Howzer could also have the same end. I really hope that Rex manages to have Wolfe's team complete and free dozens more clones from captivity
@@yunglorn true, in fact he said he had a small network of clones; logically he will have organized many small bases like that of his team, so that all his forces are not concentrated in one single point
@@Jin-uu5heBesides remember that their base was the same base when Anakin and His Padawan rescued Jabba's son. So possibly Rex Is using the old locations of the old Republic and Separatists...No doubt why the Empire couldn't find them.
@@StarWarsExpanded I know! I was so happy to see some humanity towards the clones from the imperial side, instead of them getting viewed as expendable military equipment they were viewed as fallen brothers!
I remember a theory that Wolffe didn’t commit order 66, his inhibitor chip is actually destroyed due to a fight he had against Asajj Ventress. He would be acting on his own free will to stay with the empire
I think it's also cool how they kept their original armors instead of the new plain white ones we saw after order 66. The designs on them were from their respective companies and divisions. Like Nemec's was clearly the same armor he would've worn during the Clone Wars on the jungle planets he most likely operated on where as the troops with Woflle all had the same color armor.
The two episodes that we got today were fantastic. Sad to see nemec and fireball go and that scene at the end with wolffe was epic. The thumbnail for episode 6 really trolled me as I mistook the operative talking to scorch thinking it was crosshair. Was hoping scorch contacted crosshair to act as an insider or to join rex and his clone rebellion.
i think what's more to Wolf is that when Rex and others are leaving, the clone commando said they are traitors, and Wolf said '' But they are clones'' Notice how nearly All the clones behind him stood up like they all felt the same as Rex and others aren't traitors but brothers. Which is kinda cool details.
It’s still annoying to me that every clone that isn’t a straight up main character dies in any type of escape or ambush event. Like come onnnnn at least let 1 unimportant dude live
I have noticed, crosshair's instics has improved i guess because he sensed the assasint behind him and the sensed troopers coming i loved that the character improvement good the he back in action
love these episodes I am NGL I was really pissed seeing all these new cool clones just for a tiny bit all to just die that made me sad and angry wish they kept more alive I also wished I saw wolf and the clones join rex and I guarantee that operative is Cody they wouldn't just show some random clone for that long of a period of time I really exited for the next episodes really want to see a big clone rebellion or something that shows the clones winning I hate seeing them all die.
I'm pretty sure Samson was our first canon 187th legion clone trooper (not the 187th battalion from Anaxes that was attached to the 91st). I also think the unnamed clone with the red markings is apart of the 87th Sentinel Corps which is another first canon appearance (besides from Battlefront 2). It sucks to see both of them die so quickly after seeing them for the first time.
I wish rex had more clones under his rebellion, especially if they where older clones or 501st, 212nd, because my biggest problem is that with all the clones who where in the republic to the empire time period they all basically disappear without much explanation
@@OutOfIdeas9977 yeah but not all of them, especially since Vader had a pretty sizeable legion of 501st, but the number is pretty inaccurate since we don't have a in-universe explanation, there's also the possibility that most of them retired.
Wolffe was so lucky that the empire for some reason let him keep his squadron almost entirely comprised of clones instead of TK troopers. His hesitance would not have bode well had his men been conscripts
I don't think the Operative is Cody - he went AWOL a while ago. I'd bet they're all generic clones of Crosshair, or they're somehow linked genetically. I say that because the Operative only responded to Crosshair when they were trying to interrogate him and even called him brother. He also said Crosshair could have been "one of us" when they were fighting near the waterfall and he was accurate af with a long-range rifle when he shot the engine out.
There's an animation error right after Rex leaves and Wolffe gets back on his shuttle. You can see a floating clone trooper helmet next to the clone commando
its more likely to be Cody, because aside from his scar he looks and sounds like a Reg, and I keep thinking back to that Rebels episode. while Rex is tied up with Kanen, he out of no ware, he exclaims, Cody, what if he is remembering when he lost not only his brother, but possibly the closest thing Rex had to a Best friend. in the form of the Reconditioning on tantus.
It was SO unfortunate that every new clone died, i really wanted to see an all out battle between clones and stormtroopers in the finale but it looks like disneys setting it up to be just the core clones vs everyone
These were 2 of the best episodes in my opinion Alot of emotion and stakes set I personally believe the operative os cody or tech... they did a great job of meshing together their mannerisms and movements making it believable its either one
Man I was so sad when the other clones died, I feel like many went down too easily. Really upset about Nemec and Fireball. (Fireball was kinda stupid there when he died tbh)
It was sad seeing all the new clones go , but hopefully they bring some new ones in and show a big battle soon would be dope . And hopefully Lego will bring some sets with the clones that we see and hopefully will see!
These two episodes are now my favorites out of S3 so far. I went through a lot of emotions.😅 I was shouting like a mad woman when all the clones showed up again. 👏🏼 Especially with Howzer and Wolffe. But I was sad to see the new clones die. 😭 Though I had a feeling it was going to happen. I didnt think about the clone operative being Cody. I was thinking it to be Tech but it could be him too. And I was scared to death with him fighting Crosshair. I thought Cross was gonna die but I was relieved he didnt. So many great things happened in this episode. I would love to go into more detail, but itd be too much to read. 😄
While it sucks that all the new clones died, it’s mostly the fault of Rebels as they show only Rex, Gregor, and Wolffe as being still a “squad” after everything is done. Obviously I hope the bad batch is also out there doing their own thing during the events of Rebels.
I loved these episodes through and through. They had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I loved the dialogue and the action sequences in the episodes. Awesome stuff!! However through I do not like the assassin at all, (the Clone with the unique helmet on him) in my opinion he is reckless, disobedient, and too lucky. He’s reckless and disobedient because he doesn’t listen to Wolfe who is a superior officer and he needlessly puts the life of omega in danger without taking into consideration his own forces because if they loose then they will most likely all be punished for it. He also goes rouge at several points in the show which just goes to show is disobedience and carelessness for the situation and he literally survived an explosion right in front of him. Like, I’m sorry but multiple clones have died from that close of explosions before and none survived so why the heck does he survive that one and retains enough strength to somehow break his fall?!?!?! Like, maybe I just don’t like this character a lot but after all that and he still manages to put up a fight with crosshair after going through 2 waterfalls, like, that just seems like overly lucky to me and I think his luck should have run out way earlier in the episodes. In any case they were still good episodes and we learned a lot from them and I can’t wait to see what direction the show takes us next.
Literally watching the first of the 2part episode and was like "Oh damn he's calling stormtrooper backups." But when I saw the clones AND that distinctive helmet, *"WOLFFE?"*
Prediction, either they will save some or all of the captive Clones from Mount Tantus and they may settle on Pabu with the Bad Batch, or fail and the BB survive and retire to keep Omega safe. As for Rex and his cell, my guess is by the end of the Season Howzer will somehow die with Rex, Wolfe, and Gregor ending up where we saw them in Rebels, maybe the Clone Rebellion isn't as successful as they hoped and just go into hiding, clearly somehow the EMpire will know Rex is alive, but clearly not be labeled a traitor by the time of Rebels.
