Please more of this! Analysis, in depth, moved quickly. Saban is getting his footing but he’s rocketing to a great analyst. LSU fan here, will always love what he did with LSU. Best health, coach.
Love that Coach Saban mentioned that Alabama struggled because they were missing both starting Tackles last week. South Carolina lost their entire starting Offensive Line to injury last year and several backups (11 season-ending injuries total). And no one, not even many Carolina fans, understood how devastating that was for the team. Some morons actually wanted Shane Beamer fired. Yet the prevailing wisdom is that if a Bama or Georgia or any other elite program loses all their linemen, they'd just plug in the 4-stars sitting on the bench and never miss a step. Saban knows that's not the way it works. Maybe fans will listen to him, since they didn't listen to Coach Beamer...or to reason.
We didn't lose every starter. Two finished the year healthy, and Tree who finished at Left Tackle was WAY better than Fugar from game one. But we were running so reserve at Center and a walk-on at RT against Clemson. The like against Clemson was a 3rd string center, I think, 2 true freshmen, 1 starter from the previous season, a walk-on, and a transfer that had since signed in the NFL. And with all of that, we still weren't the worst OL in the SEC by the end of the year because of Vandy.
Well, bama didnt just plug in the 4 stars last week. O line is pretty unusual to plug and play with no dropoff or inconsistency due to a personnel change from injury
The best thing that has happened to college football in a long time is Saban retiring, being able to do all these shows and sharing his knowledge with fans. Absolutely amazing!
It's long overdue to congratulate you. You were a force multiplier in the NFL and now you're a huge success at ESPN. I'm glad to see it. Keep up the great work my friend
I've loathed this man so much as a Vols fan, but I love listening to him talk college football. Any one on one interview with Saban, sign me up. GBO!!!
You know Stephen Garcia played great because even the HBC repeatedly said "Stephen played his best game against Alabama." And unless a QB's last name was Wuerffel or Shaw (and especially not Garcia), they didn't hear praise like that often. And yeah it helped when you had a beast like Alshon Jeffery who Bama's great DB's simply could not handle.
@@GodLovesComics I remember watching that game and soon came to realize that big physical WRs were bamas kryptonite on defense. Alshon, Mike Evans, Mike Williams, and another guy from texas a&m who's name i cant remember
Always enjoy hearing Coach Saban analyze the team/situation/games the way he does. Hopefully Tua feels back to 100% soon and wish him the absolute best whichever path he winds up choosing for his career… RTR
2nd generation die hard Gamecock fan here. #1 I can't say enough about how much I respect Nick Saban. He is unquestionably THE GOAT in terms of CFB coaches. #2 Ray Tanner just announced his intention to (semi) retire from AD.... Can we get Nick to be the AD at South Carolina ? Man I would love that and I have no doubt he would be fantastic ! GO COCKS !!
Man Saban always knows exactly what needs to get corrected. Not just with Bama, but with other schools. I swear he probably knows other teams better than they know their selves
I think Saban and Pat need to have a sitcom together where they are like recently divorced dads or something and they're roommates now, just trying to get by. Kinda like 2 and a half men, but this would be better.
Discipline statement is full on truth. JESUS said you must renew your spirit daily. The LSU helmet by you reminds me of some of my greatest LSU memories, thank you. 👍🏈😎🙏🏼✌️
TUA needs to hang it up. He's just too fragile for the NFL and its getting cumulatively worse with every concussion. He should take his $42 million signing bonus and give back the remaining $170 million of his contract and walk away intact. The Dolphins will be better off with Ryan Tannehill, who won't have the timing or chemistry with the WR's, but will have the arm strength to actually get the ball downfield to Miami's weapons. On the other hand, the Dolphins have NO replacement for Christian Wilkins, which leaves the defense lifeless and without any pass rush.
@@tomg1977 I don't know. You would certainly think his handlers would do that. But on First Take they said no matter what he's guaranteed his signing bonus and full 2025 salary which is close to 100 million. If it's just about the money and his family having "generational wealth" he will have that regardless. But he'll almost certainly come back (probably within weeks) if the Dolphins and McDaniel continue to enable him and he will also surely get concussed again. At this point he's so fragile he'd get a concussion playing Flag Football. It's never going to work out.
Most overrated coach in sports history glad he out hope Alabama follows suit screw them both now I wait for the toxic Bama fanboys too come after me again.🤣
@@bobbysmith3196 You think I care just proves that Bama fans are the most annoying and toxic fans ever who get mad at someone over an opinion on the internet proves how much babies that they are.
Can’t imagine for myself how anyone could be considered overrated when they’ve accomplished more than any of their peers, but you’re entitled to your opinion. Same goes for your obvious hatred towards the Crimson Tide. I’m thinking you’re going to be disappointed when the fall you’re hoping for doesn’t pan out the way you’d like, but you’re welcome to hate on. We feed off it… RTR
@@skipgumphrey9579 Well even then I'm tired of seeing this team every year despite not caring for College Football myself and the annoying fanboys who came after me over my opinion just made me hate them more. Also FTF
