I believe he was a member of the public invited in with his mother. Note how the two Corporals approached him and gave a formal ‘Butt Salute’ ( I promise that this is the correct term!) by moving his right hand across his body to slap the butt of the Rifle. This is the way to salute whilst carrying a Rifle. Well done to the Irish Guards here. The first tune is MacNamara’s Band, a lovely jaunty march. The lyrics are quite funny! 26 years veteran. I loved London so very much. I saw the change of the guards and loved it I wanted to stay there but was 19 and mom wanted me back in Canada so I missed my opportunity. But I am now retired and it’s one of the regrets I have. London is so neat and I loved it

To think that these are British soldiers who if had to would fight to save he's king and country once again. And its so sad that the overseas population who have come legally or illegally. Who with the facts out there have no respect for the British citizens or for the British army or the British flag or UK traditions and values. And what about the British people who are showing diversity towards others everyday but nothing is shown back. And to see this little boy is a blessing and looking hopefully to be a British soldier in years to come . It does surely bring tears to the public eyes bless him if he was my grandson I would be so proud because there is hope in a small way even though the UK is being fudged up. And let's hope he doesn't change his mind and still wanting to be one of the kings soldiers and protect against what is going to happen in the future when he's adult making it a better future for the next younger generation.

Going back to my day in the Army we were not really able to engage with the public because of the security threat. We were not allowed out in uniform or indicate that we were in the Armed Forces. So pleased that those days are gone.
