Record Ocean Heat Content In The Caribbean And Gulf of Mexico Will Fuel Strong hurricanes during the second half of the 2024 hurricane season. There are no storms immanent in the tropics update, but a moderate signal is popping up in models that storms may develop in early September. With the lack of storms in August, the water has been able to get exceptionally warm and deep which will fuel tropical storms and hurricanes. Hawaii will also be impacted by tropical storm conditions as three storms churn in the Pacific.
