Ben, I am a 56 year old bloke, divorced and single, now have a 11 month old black lab, recently had to have my border terrior put to sleep after 15 years, lost a part of me that day but have a crazy lab to keep me going, found your channel today and subscribed. Ill never forget losingg my childhood dog, ive never been able to bond with a dog like him since😢 i totally feel for you they really do take a piece of your heart.

You never forget a heart dog and they don't forget you either, so try to make anniversaries of their passing into times you feel honoured you got to walk the same path with them. I remember all my dogs and each one of them has guided me towards making the life of the next one even better. I've got too many age/ health related issues to have another dog, but all Those I've lost are still with me in happy spirit. Hey, your hi-viz vest on the seat looks like a dog!

Noone is gona think anythin negative of the grief of your loss, that is hard stuff, especially after a journey like yours and Harley's. Dogs are amazing an the bond we can get with them is deep ❤️

Been through the dog loss thing when my Ben passed. He was an eleven year old Border Collie, and he did everything at 100mph, including leaving us. We went out for an hour, and when we came back he was under the table, still warm but sadly gone…we kept him in the house til the morning, and I sat with him all night. Our other Collie, Wispa who is a year younger, sat with us too, and I’m glad she did, because I believe she had time to say goodbye too. That will be two years in August, and I’m sat here with tears in my eyes typing this. Only recently found your channel, so apologies for the belated comments, but I love watching your videos. Loosing a pet hits different and leaves a mark on your life that will never fade folk who don’t have pets will never understand this I watch people go through the worst days of there life almost everyday see death almost every shift I work (emergency department) and i very rarely let the emotions take over but watching you and how hard it was to share this story has brought me to tears Keep up the good work your doing in every aspect of the videos your making

It’s the worst losing a pet, they are family. One of mine had to be PTS last august to give him a more peaceful death than drowning in his own body fluid and I felt horrendous having to do it. Grief comes in waves and the other 2 really miss him too. Your Harley looked a beautiful boy and this was a lovely tribute to him 🌈

Sorry for your loss mate Harley looks stunning had me tearing up lost my best mate of 11 years spike last month got him as a pup when i was 12 and he was perfect loyal as never had to have a lead he would stay by my side no matter what id do anything to have him back i cry every time i think of him

You should take enormous comfort that you gave him a wonderful loved life.💯 I lost my greyhound 'Jilly' to a sudden heart attack whilst laying on my son's lap... My first ever dog of my own,it' was heartbreaking..... And yes this did bring a tear to a 55 yr old male.😮

I used to drive a 7.5 tonne merc like yours. I worked for Harvey's home furniture in the past. I had a 3 man crew. The lad in the middle seat just opened a 2 litre coke bottle and I noticed a hump back bridge. Flat out over the bridge, I hit my head on the roof , air sprung seat and coke re decorated the entire interior 😂

In tears now.

Big respect again, opening up is never easy. Got a decade or so on you but you have a very wise head on your shoulders, to go with the comedy gold one you also come out with - ever get a proper road trip to North Yorkshire then shout out, coffees are on me for real, meanwhile enjoy the online ones 👍🏼

Ben i know how you feel i lost my best friend casey my bulldog in march 3 years ago as well she was the one who was there for me though all my bad times when my girlfriend left me for another guy she was there and then she got sick and i lost her😢 ive now got my 2 new dogs who i love so much but like you theres not a day that gose by i dont miss her unless someone have had the love of a dog or a pet they will never understand. Stay safe buddy and just remember where ever you go Harley will always be with you in your hart .

I have my moments of sadness but the rest of my life is SO good, it is a fleeting thing and soon passes so I'm hoping that the next few years get easier and some karma pay back comes your way. Sorry about Harley. Looks like he had a few years on him judging by his white muzzle and labs can suffer with bad hips in old age which can be a long painful thing to see/cope with so you maybe you avoided that. Best to talk abut these things - have you thought about getting another rescue dog?

I have also sort of as had a dog and spilt from ex girlfriend and she kept the dog. God I missed that dog the four legged one. He pasted away 4 yrs ok.
