@@b2od_Yeah but at the end of the day AAA games are supposed to be the flagship of the industry. And back then most of them were at least decent and a lot of them were really good. I love indie games but i'd feel horrible if I bought a current gen console

No buddy, can your xbox360 rip in soundtracks and music CDs in its library so you can basically pick your own soundtrack for every game? Didn't think so I wish modern consoles could rip things onto the hard disk and obviously where loaded with huge hard disks so that you can even pick the option to load in games you play often so you don't even need to change the disk.
@@jswords1977your dumb there’s been so many models phat Xbox falcon then jasper those two phats don’t get red ring I’ve owned both since 09 played daily over 10 hours and still haven’t gotten red ring and I own 4 trinity slims no red ring you can’t get red ring in a slim even if you try and plus these are RGH/Jtag you can set custom fan curves and it won’t heat up this proves you know nothing at all
@@xmisfit666x Same with me until I got a Steam Deck. Now I have a disgusting collection that I can easily play anytime and anywhere. Being able to put it in sleep mode with a button press when I need to be a husband or parent and then later getting immediately back into whatever I was playing is a godsend and motivates me to actually play and finish games.
And its not even accurate, because a retail xbox series s/x with $20 devmode activation, can emulate all these games a lot better + you can get achievements on the old non-360 titles thru RetroAchievement
@@Whiser I'd recommend a steam deck at that point... It supports all the emulators, online play, AND retroachievements with a single installation of emudeck + PC games + handheld mode + cheaper.
The nostalgia wave almost knocked me out when I saw the Aurora logo. My borther was a computer nerd and when he found out about it, we immediately started saving money to buy a mod chip from the internet. We didn't know you could donit without a chip, but it was totally worth it. So many great memories playing Borderlands 1, fallout 3, Spiderman Shattered dimensions and edge of time...
@@Revolver1981 It seems like you might be asking that question in more of a smartass/"gotcha" kind of way, but I figure I'll give you a straight answer anyway. Everything you listed above is possible, except you can actually maintain a high framerate (which is simply not possible without heavily degrading performance on any console). You also have the freedom to use whatever peripherals, audio, or display setup you want, and you've got easier access to all sorts of supplementary third-party applications for many games (mods, addons, inventory managers, etc.) Lastly, the number of games available is far larger on PC than it is on any console (potentially every console combined, even, but I haven't seen the numbers and don't care to figure all of that up... so I won't blindly make that claim). Whatever type of game you're into, you're more likely to find several offerings on PC where one may not exist on console. Consoles have certainly improved a hell of a lot over the years, but it's only very recently that they've begun to come even remotely close to what PCs are capable of and have been for a very long time. I play games on both, consoles and PC, depending on the type of experience I'm wanting, but performance on a decent PC is, objectively speaking, unmatched. The only thing console has that's currently "better" is the upfront cost and a handful of exclusives, but most games released these days are released on PC simultaneously or after a bit of a delay. If you've got a budget of a few hundred bucks or if all you play is some random sports game, going the console route is the obvious choice. If that's not the case and performance is what you're after, PC is the only correct answer. TL;DR - PC still master race... but if you ask me in 10 years and the answer may be different. Lol
@BigShirtGames woah, almost as if you softmodded it, I recently modded my wii, guess what? I can play wii games, snes, gamecube, nes, ps1 etc. Don't gotta flex it. Like oooooo look I can mod my console ooooo
I also have my 2 RGH's with the xex menu, Aurora and another one i can't remember now. One of them is also water cooled 😂. It was the best gaming time in my life playing online on 360.
Rezurrection what a DLC. One of the goats. That console with all those games is the perfect companion for holladays. Imagine being in a cozy place far away with so many choises
This is so cool! Modding is a great tool for consoles like these where their digital stores are shutting down or already are shut down (think the 3DS or any of Nintendo's digital stores prior to the Switch)
For anyone who doesn’t know, there are no soft mods for xbox 360. You have to physically mod the console via soldering before you can install anything. If you want to soft mod a console with as many games as you want with ease, just get a ps3.
You can “soft” mod a 360 if you run the game(s) via USB or a DLRWBD. Maybe we are using “soft” mod differently? I software modded 7 360’s for friends and family. Only had 1 issue, couldn’t get the console to recognize an RWBD but then tried the DLRWBD and that worked just fine.
@@benlenderman1777that’s not soft modding. Soft modding requires no work to be done in the console. You’re probably thinking of a flashed DVD drive to play backup games, or using the X Key mode which is still a hardware level mod.
Before always online came into the picture.. this won't be possible with future titles and consoles, we no longer own the games we buy. We basicly just rent them for full price
If you make these and sell them I'm definitely interested. Tossing the series s and moving to pc. This would be the best console to fall back on some days man
@@Why_U_GehI work at a hospital as a housekeeper and they have one thats an Xbox one and a Wii U, I’m in the us. They give it to any kids that are in the emergency room that need it and or ask for it

Wasnt a waste, gamers are getting tired of the un optimized shit games. You dont own your games nor your console. So this guy did something amazing. Yes not everyone will be able to do it. Yet this is far better then any of the newer consoles.
Google Aurora xbox360 and I'm pretty sure you'll find a tutorial. The games are most likely either ripped or pirated on the external drive. Doesn't take detective work to figure that out.
It’s called Jay tag or RGH consult and yes, you can get banned if you go online and act like an idiot with it. That’s right it’s better the play it off-line is way more better for off-line connected to the Internet. You’re going to get banned from Microsoft they always know you’re using a modified consult.
