also the reffing cost us....10 mins of being short handed is a lot, we outscoerd them 3-2 in 5/6 of the game...actually, when you account for momenum, we outscored them quite handily
Anyone having picked the Oilers in 6 and not outright admitting they were wrong and stupid to do so, is pigheaded and full of shit. Time and time again, it's been proven that top-end offense is not what wins you the series. It's goaltending and depth (scoring and defensive). In spite of that, people picking the Oil because of the McDrai effect are absolutely deluded.
"I totally picked it wrong - so, here's how I pick things...." (*who cares about your thought process of how you pick things - when it's INCORRECT !...oh yea, let's analyze the wrong way to pick - that's useful information
game 5 after 40 ~ draisaitl & mcdavid only had one sog each ~ game 3 ~ only 2 goals by forwards 5 on 5 ~ & last nite so much for that edmonton power play ~ game 1 ~ 0 sog for mcdavid ~ game 5 ~ 2nd period 0 sog by edmonton @ 8:36 / first sog @ 4:10 on pp ~ and the beat goes on
The Canucks got a lucky bounce near the end of regulation to win Game 5, but there is no chance they win Game 6 back in Edmonton. Game 7 back in Vancouver will then show why home ice advantage in the playoffs is so important, however. Canucks will upset the Oilers in Game 7.
