Ambroise Thomas: Hamlet, "Adieu, dit-il, ayez foi!", Ophelia's aria, Sabine Devieilhe, soprano, Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, Louis Langrée conductor. Opera Comique, Sala Favart, 21 December 2018. Broadcast by Mezzo TVHD.
This production was, in fact, splendid and very popular. I thought it gave an exciting aspect to this story and showcased that either Shakespeare or Ambroise Thomas are relevant to today's standards. These stories are timeless, and so is opera.
