After working in forestry for over thirty years, I know a little about fires and forest management to keep them at a minimum. *AND CALIFORNIA?* Is doing exactly what they *_SHOULDN'T_* be doing! When you don't allow any logging of the older dead trees (and there's a LOT of them for many reasons) you supply massive amounts of fuel for a fire. Even if they would go in to clean the forest floor a little, it would help. Instead California bans any type of management, almost *_BEGGING_* for massive fires! Let this sink in..... California is the *_ONLY_* state where insurance companies are canceling fire insurance for homeowners!
