Im polish and Thorgal is the best comic book series of my childhood. Check the "the city of the lost god"- my personal favorite. But first You need to read :the Archers, The land of Qa and the eye of Tanatlock. They are in the 2 issues sets so...not that much to find. Anyway The city of the lost god is just amazing and very tragic. Great to see that some people in america knows Thorgal.
The Mercenary is also worth looking into. About as pretty as 'comics' can get I think. El Mercenario (English: The Mercenary) is a science fiction comics series by the Spanish artist Vicente Segrelles, published beginning in 1980. An unusual feature for a comic book, every panel is painted in oil, a time-consuming technique. The series is known for the great attention paid to the depiction of landscapes.
The first 30 albums of Throgal are great. And a few later albums after those one you covered here had a long story arc in which Thorgal went to the Americas.
Storm from don lawrence, fuck yeah man, i knew nothing about moost comics at the age of 10 around 94 except that i had some few hundred issues of carl barks don rosa and some other italian artists, and propably the spookier was when mickey mouse was a detective. Few popey and asterix lucky luke. At the summer of 94 went on an island , and a store had storm and camelot 3000 , my mind blew
Thorgal is like Witcher mixed with Game of Thrones. When I discovered about Thorgals father, I could see it only like a great fantasy series. But the dark from the story and dirty world must stay intact. :-)
