Hi from Colorado Springs, CO. I’m sitting here drinking iced coffee and working on some vanilla socks. You girls are a joy to watch! 🥰 I enjoyed seeing what you’re making!
Hello!!!😊...Don't feel bad, we knitters feel really good when we knit, so the more time you spend with it, the better. As long as life allows it, we knit, right? And it's amazing to share everything with other knitters and see what they make and so on. It's a blessing to have such a passion!!! We are lucky! And you girls are double blessed!!! Lots of love from Lisbon 🥰 thanks a million for sharing 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your kind words!! It is so true! We are both so thankful that this art form was taught to us and that we have not only each other to share it with, but live in a time period where it can connect us with people all over the world 🥰❤️❤️ and also thankful that time does allow for lots of knitting right now! 😊
"A truelane moment" LOL! The hair looks so good 😎 I'm so happy I caught this video, been catching up from the beginning of your episodes all week. I ASPIRE to be as talented of a knitter as y'all! 🧶❤
I just discovered your channel and binged watched all three episodes today between cleaning and knitting. By the time I’m done seeing my last patient and still have documentation to complete, I’m dying to relax and knit. I find knitting is my meditation time. Keep up the enjoyable podcast and I’ll keep watching from Kalispell, Montana.
Hi so lovely that your third podcast came out a little early. Yay!! Really enjoying. Tuning in from New Zealand. I’m a Canadian but I’ve lived here for almost 12 years!
Hello from Michigan! I loved hearing that you knit 3-4 hours a day! I too have been guilty of the same and feel the same when I am out somewhere … that I can’t wait to get home to start knitting! Love your podcast!
We are so glad we aren’t the only ones! It just brings so much joy to us, if I don’t get at least an hour of knitting in a day I kind of get sad about it 😅
So happy to see a new episode from you! Rachel, I love your other loops top - I just got yarn to cast one on , too, in a rusty orange, because I thought it would carry over well into fall :)
Ahh that is going to be so beautiful!! We will be so excited to see your version!! I'm glad I'm not the only one would thought this pattern would be a good transitional piece 😊❤
Love your podcast. Just getting a chance to catch up. Your projects are just beautiful. The picture included with you in your cream colored tee was perfect. I like when podcasters show a photo of them with their makes on- really gives us a chance to see how the pattern truly looks. Just my opinion, you do what works best for you tho. Will watch for more fabulous makes from both of you.
Hello from Melbourne, Australia! I so enjoyed spending time with you both and admiring your summer tanks while I work away on my Seasons Sweater by Ozetta in our winter.
Ahh the seasons sweater is definitely on both of our lists, but we’ve both already done the cardigan versions and that pattern is so classic! I assume it might be winter where you are! Happy knitting!! 🤗
Lovely FO’s and WIP’s as always. Love watching your podcast. San Diego local here, so excited you’ll be around here! If you haven’t already definitely check out Apricot yarns in Liberty Station, then also needlecraft cottage and Emys yard are wonderful. Also - a simpler time alpaca farm does yours and sells their alpaca yarn ❤
Ahh this is so helpful! I had heard of Apricot Yarns before from Leslie's podcast Knit California, but none of the other places! We're definitely going to try to sneak at least one yarn shop in 🤗 As "middle of the mappers" we are so excited to be close to a beach!! ❤
Really enjoy your videos! Watching from Orange County in Southern California. My daughter lived in SD twice in the last few years. One of our favorite restaurants is Puesto!!! 🤤. So good! Another is the Brick Cafe on G Ave at the trolly tracks. So many neat things to do in SD and the weather seems to always be great. Have fun!
Rachel, your Audrey Top looks lovely and Jessica, your Pi Cami is so pretty. Another enjoyable episode. Thanks for helping me make progress on the neverending stockinette of the Cumulus Tee. Have a great holiday. :)
Hi from San Antonio, Texas. Just got into making garments and I’m really enjoying it. Can’t wait to try some cool tee patterns. So far all I’ve made or wool sweaters, which don’t go well with a Texas heat.
Greeting to you both from Zimbabwe, Africa ! I have just come across your channel, LOVE the styles you have chosen to knit. I have just started knitting a cotton tank top for my daughter so I am interested to see other designs. Thank you for your fun chatty 38.05 minutes of knitting inspiration. Wishing you both a good holiday.
There are not many yarn stores in San Diego but there is one in Liberty Station called Apricot Yarn & Supply (2690 Historic Decatur Rd., #101). They have a beautiful selection of yarns, notions, books, etc. Liberty Station is a fun place to explore: restaurants, art district, public market.
I think your knitting time is pretty normal:) I’m a grade one teacher and I often think halfway through the day “oh I can’t wait to just go home and knit”. Lol
Oh my gosh you are amazing! I (Rachel) teach middle school and look at elementary with such admiration. Those littles will wear you out! I have the same thought just about every day at work 😌
Ahh we’ve seen your podcast and LOVE it but I (Rachel) didn’t know you were from Canada! Thank you so much for watching and sharing such amazing knitting content! 🥰
Lovely to see you both, enjoy seeing your projects, I’m knitting the Big Love Cardigan by Annestrik, I’ve just finished Illuminate by Andrea Mowry. Have a Great Holiday.❤❤ from Queensland. Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you so much!! I’m sure you might have seen if you’ve been on ravelry, but Andrea Mowry is having quite a sale right now 🤗 the illuminate pattern is beautiful!!
If I could make a suggestion for your podcast… when you’re showing us finished objects, could you throw in a photo or even a video of you wearing it? An overlay video would be fine even. And when you do your unfinished objects if you could show us a photo of the design so we don’t have to pause each time and go look it up that’d be awesome. I like to know what they’re supposed to look like. On one of your future videos, you both showed your Eva Cardign (I’m a new sub, so I’m kind of working backward in your videos!) but you didn’t show us a pic of the design. You spoke on the different construction but it was difficult to understand the way it was supposed to look. I know the photos from Petite Knit are in black which doesn’t help at all, but there are lots of photos on Ravelry of different knitters FOs. Thanks so much for listening to my suggestions. 😊 Loving your channel btw! Oh okay thank you for putting in the picture of Jessica’s white tank! 😊I’d still like to see the whole thing though. I’ll go to Ravelry to look.i noticed you put a pic up of the gro hat but not the petite knot one.
Ok, so I totally noticed your guys' hair right away but just told myself I must be crazy because I didn't think you guys would do your hair at the same time, so it must be the lighting or something. 🤣 I felt so much better when you said you both lightened your hair. WHEW, not losing it yet. 😅 It turned out so natural and pretty! I love the sandy color. The pecan pie yarn is GORGEOUS, and I really like the black cami! It's just that yeah, black knitting hides pretty much any texture from afar. But the fit is perfect! Have fun in San Diego! It's gorgeous there , and I have no doubt you'll think it's cold. 🤣 It's been 100+ everyday here in Dallas too, I feel you guys. 😢
Ahh okay we're glad it was noticable, we've actually never dyed our hair before so we kind of emphasized that we didn't want it TOO dramatic, but now the change is pretty subtle 😅 Oh my gosh we hear Texas is SO hot!! We have family in the Dallas/Fortworth area and hear y'all have hotter heat than we do right now! Hopefully we all get a break from the weather here soon! 😅
Love your podcast! Definitely go to Apricot Yarn shop in San Diego! I’d also recommend the Old Town Hop-on-hop-off Trolly Tour. I always take them when I go to a new city.
Hey! I’m loving your podcast. Did you see that Unwind Fiber Arts in Lees Summit is having a massive sale?? I went yesterday and there are so many great deals. Have fun on your vacation!
We have but haven’t gotten to shop yet!! Hopefully they still have some stuff left when we get back 😅 thank you so much for watching, it’s so fun to meet other local knitters!! 🤗
Love your podcast!! Also binge watched all episodes and waiting for the next one! 🤗 enjoy San Diego! On another hand: would you consider doing a stash reveal video? And at the end of year like a progress in stash busting? I’m trying to stash bust this year too and this would be super fun to watch. 😊 xo Yana from California :)
Loving your podcast and projects 💖 I'm knitting from Devon in the UK and currently working on the White Mountain Sweater by Midori Hirose in Wool Dreamers Manchelopi 🤗
I’m bingewatching all episodes! Thank you so much! Wich needles and shorter cables do you use to make hats? I’m doing magic loop, but it’s not my favourite way. Thank you! I really love your podcast, you do such a great job!
Thank you!! We both prefer to use Chiaogoo 16” circular needles for sleeves and hats and then switch to DPN’s when the stitches decrease too much for the circulars. We aren’t fans of magic loop ourselves, but a lot of people love it, so to each their own!
Currently knitting on the hearth and home second sock by Lindsey Fowler! I love her sock patterns so much. I feel you on the 100 degree weather. 🥵 i live in the Wichita area so not too far from you guys. I’m glad you showed the pecan pie sock set knit up because I think I may cast on some socks with that next…or some color work socks by the petite knitter. I love her sheepy socks.. they’re called ovis socks. I love seeing all your projects!
Ahh Wichita is very close!! And where coast to coast is from too!! The petite knitters colorwork is so beautiful, it would be incredible to see in the pecan sock set!! 😍
Hi from the Pacific NW! Loving your podcast. I'm working on the sailor swift top by Veronika (can't remember her whole name but she goes by Kika). It's a small gauge so it's taking forever but I just got back from vacation so I was able to get a lot done on it and the fabric is super yummy. Have a great vacay!
I’ve made The Gro hat twice with the same yarn you used, went up 2 needle sizes the second time. Both times the hat turned about too small, even after blocking. It’s a child’s size hat. I was so disappointed. Pattern is so pretty.
I (Jess) wish I had known this going into it! Thankfully I have a small head, and I’m going to try to stretch it when blocking, but it is looking small. It might end up being a gift for a younger relative this Christmas!
Knitting with you from KC also! Now that you've established you won't switch sides, you're setting up a cute April Fools idea ;) Have a great vacation!
How long have you guys been knitting? Did you guys learn to knit at the same time? Btw I love your podcast !! you make my day so much better!! You guys are so talented!!
Thank you so much for watching!! Our mom taught us to knit around the 2nd grade, and we've been knitting since! We really only got into garment knitting in college, though, around 2016. 😊
LOL he's a Birman, but a lot of people have thought he looks Siamese 😂 I'll have to get him on camera sometime, he is sweet as can be but he is a loud cat!
Is there a certain way that your friends and family can quickly tell you apart? My twins are fraternal, but my twin uncles are identical and one is a mechanic so his hands are always a bit grease stained. It is a quick and easy way to tell them apart.😅
Ohh thats a good question! I (Rachel) usually part my hair more to the left (or right on the camera?) and Jessica is the opposite, so that helps! And I think our smiles are a little different! 😁 The grease stains would definitely be a little easier to tell the difference though 😂
New to your channel and wanted to say hi 👋🏼. I really enjoyed seeing and hearing about both of your projects. Thanks for the inspiration. Now I’m off to watch your other videos to catch up and subscribe. If you have time and want to stop by my podcast I’d love to see you there. HUGS 🤗
LOL true 🤣 I’ve gotten farther since and still haven’t tried it on, so we’re just gonna put some faith into the gauge swatch and hope it fits at this point 🤣
