2:16 is basically the reason I never finish games these days anymore. Sometimes, if rarely, gameplay can carry me through a game, but as soon as I lose interest in the story, it's literally game over. It's baffling how so many aspects of video games have improved (most noticeable visuals), yet great story telling remains the exception.

Probably cos you're not allowed to _do_ anything that has impact on the Plot/Story. I think Video game Writers always forget that games are an interactive medium 🙁🤷‍♂️

I normally don't go for first person or horror games but the psychological aspects I do find intriguing

If you like horror games, give Darkwood a try. It uses top-down, 2-D graphics, yet manages to stay spooky and tense without depending on jump scares. It's also very challenging, unlike many horror games that are basically walking simulators.
