I enjoyed this. I have theThree 5G Broadband. in the City where I lived was a great signal both upload and download speeds. When I moved home, the signal was not as strong, I no longer get 5G speeds, the download speed is more 4G and the upload speed is like 3G. The problem here is that there are a lot of trees in the area.
@UrReviewBuddy
@UrReviewBuddy 2 года назад
It fluctuates a lot, i’ve experienced that as well. Three tends to have good coverage, but where i live there is better coverage on the fields rather than at home 😅 Another reason the speed dropped is that more people go for 5G broadband from Three, therefore the tower can’t keep with the “demand”, this is what i was told by Three customer service. I wonder if you get an antenna, will you get better signal?

I have got 3 5g mobile broadband a few months ago due to Virgin Media doubling their prices, my average speeds are around 500Mbs download and 80Mbs upload and it's costing me £20per month, I have their new ZTE MC801a WiFi 6 router, I also use a mesh system connected to the 3 router and I get uninterrupted WiFi around my house which is quite large. I would say that if you are a gamer then it may not be for you as the ping is higher than fixed broadband but still usable. So far I've not had any problems with the service. Good review from you.

@@UrReviewBuddy I'd recommend looking out for a reconditioned unit if possible. Many people buy and return 5G antennas because they don't understand that they will not necessarily see speed jumps but rather they will improve the stability of the signal. This is where you can pick up a good bargain. Go for it bro. I'd like to hear back to see if your findings are similar to mine.

Fyi, speeds are also defined/limited by sim card (plan), it is possible that your operator limits upload in your data plan (and not telling), I have real unlimited data so upload is 100mbps and more (I am far from bts and 5g is just developing here and do not want external antenna). 5g is the best connection ever, better than fiber because fiber providers put stupid upload limits here recently. And latency is also decent, not better than fiber but sufficiently low.

Hello! The 5G I have from Three network, doesn't have a good coverage. It is placed upstairs and it is difficult to get decent signal downstairs, that's why I went for the wi-fi extender from TP Link. With this extender I can get nearly similar download speeds as I get on the normal 5G router.

I recently started to have some connectivity issues… there are times when the speed is not constant, although it shows full signal. It is the same on my mobile, the 5g connection drops to the point where it is offline, although it shows 5G at the top. I tend to blame it on the weather. I noticed that everytime there is a change in the weather, the connection is poor. Because everything is wireless, the connection is not stable.

Hi 👋 It is a good device. Don't know if the best as Three has good coverage but not that good signal. When i first got this router, the speed was nearly consistent, i could stream films and play online on the console, have 2 phones connected and some home devices. Now, the connection is not that stable. I am aware that in the area where i live, there is a project to change the antennas so probably this is the cause of the poor internet i get from time to time. There are times when the signal drops and it can take several minutes to connect again. This was not the case 2 months ago. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hey 👋🏻 All of them tie you to 1.5-2 years contract. If you don’t need super fast speed, you can go for a pay as you go sim card and get a 4g/5g router. I tried it before just until they fitted the normal router but the connection was poor at my end. Maybe is different where you are. You might have better coverage.

@UrReviewBuddy
@UrReviewBuddy 2 года назад
Depends where you live = coverage If you go for 5G, then the speed will fluctuate. It happened to me to get 400mbps and a couple of minutes later to drop to 7mbps pr even to drop connection completely. With Fibre, you get a constant speed (most of the time). I did cancel the 5G from Three and went for Virgin M500 - for me this was a great move. Virgin is more stable, but the modem coverage is crap so you will need to get a wifi extender if you live in a house and you want internet in the whole house, but i experienced this also with Three.

Thanks for the review, I'm honestly waiting for someone to connect this up to a 5G antenna and see what results they get. I get 500mbps minimum on my 5G phone outside my home, a quality 5G antenna will take away the necessity of placing the CPE by the window... As the signal will come from the Antenna. But just waiting on someone to do this. I'd recommend you stay away from those boosters too, they are so bad budget wise and quality wise compared to a gigabit mesh network. You'll pick up a Deco M4 or M5 between £100-£150 for a 3 pack, they are so worth it and really provide coverage all around your home, I've set up 5 in mine as my house stretches quite abit as it is three floors. If you decide to plug in a 5G Antenna I'd watch again for sure. I'd recommend you buy the CPE pro seperate too, a virgin 5g sim only deal is £25 a month unlimited data, virgin runs of EE, so as long as EE have installed 5G masts your speed will be drastically higher both download and upload.

Just got the latest broadband 5G but its soooo disappointing. I can watch my firetstick but cant get Netflix or RU-vid. And its not very fast at all. Suppose to be over 2mbps. Im getting 38mb. So its an another joke with shit speeds just like TalkTalk i was previously with. 😡😡😡

Three are cheaper bwcause their connection is rubbish in comparison to Vodafone and EE

Think you need to consider the individual parameters before you make statements like that. Having just moved home, I was forced BY BT toouse EE for my mobiles by BT, as they're moving all mobiles after their EE acquisition. Landline here is abysmal,

It’s all about the coverage and where the antenna is placed. Right in the middle of the town i get around 200 mbps but if i walk 15 minutes to the field where i walk the dog, i get over 300 mbps. Weird

@@UrReviewBuddy I will never consider 5G if I have true fibre (gigabit fibre). If there is no such option, but DSL or slow cable Internet, maybe 5G is the only way to go

@@shukuist123 Yes exactly, in the area I live the fastest fibre I can get is 36mbs, so I opted for the 5g option instead. In any other case I would’ve gone with true fibre

I just ended the relationship with my 5G broadband provider. I went for Virgin 500 fibre but their routers are crap. Can’t get signal upstairs… 🤦🏻‍♂️

02:40 - the unit is placed on the first floor and does a good job to cover the area; once i go downstairs (as i live in a house, maybe in an apartment is better) i have to connect using the wi-fi extender as the coverage is not that good.

No Google services with this Huawei made device. No G-mail, no RU-vid and no Google Drive. Why don't either reviewers or 3Mobile mention this???
@UrReviewBuddy
@UrReviewBuddy 2 года назад
What do you mean? This is just the wireless router. You can access gmail, google drive, or other google service from your device. This has nothing to do with the block on Huawei as it doesn’t run on Android.

What the hell are on about? Just installed one of these 5g hubs, everything you mentioned works fine, plus it's fast enough to view HD videos on both Sky and RU-vid
